I wonder if it has something to do with chamber and how the juice condenses in it. I get some liquid from the DT every 5 or 6 pulls. Annoying but the flavor is worth it for me.

To be honest I get that same buildup in all my MTL RTAs.

Sent from the Death Star
I agree and get some, pretty much on anything that takes a 510 dt and not 810. For the ones I like and use, it's not that much and also think well worth it for tge flavor. This is more than that. Enough that it is gurgling on pulls and is pretty nasty, also drastically reducing vapor, cuz well it's just juice

I know both of you guys know what you're doing. I wish I knew what I was doing differently to not have this gurgling issue with the Xeta in mtl. I intend absolutely no sarcasm in saying that. :(

New theory/theories:

Your coil (27g, 5 wraps, right?) may not be wide enough to allow your wicks seal off the chamber properly.

Coil could be too low on the chamber. When I look down the barrel after I'm all built and wicked, it appears that my wick is pressed down on each side by the top of the juice slots. Peep the pic

Same! I suspect coil height has a lot to do with it and am hoping that's the solution.

Also, pardon the pic of my dirty coil above

Hmm, I'm gonna take mine out and have a look. I believe I have mine at almost that exact height. Build is 6 wraps, and its spaced, so I think it would be long enough.

ditto #2. the first build on mine is still in there, for many weeks now. works well and pretty much no leaking.

Idk, looks really similar to me, what do you think? The top of my coil looks to be pretty flush with the top of the posts, maybe a tad above

It could be that you need to close the juice ports a bit. I am using the 2nd smallest airflow insert and the middle chimney insert and a regular 510 dt.

I have them about 1/2 way closed. Seems if I go any more with them, or to a thicker wick I am bound for dry hits, but I will try it.

Nevermind about the juice port screws
They are not filled though.

Yeah, you are definitely in no danger of dry hits from looking at your deck. It is juicy in there. Maybe shoot for dry hits. Seriously. In other words use more cotton than you think you'll need. Maybe a lot more.

Yup, next to try. Good news for me is I am totally happy with the Vape Shell, and I have (currently ) two BB's, so I don't mind having one trying to get the Xeta right. Full disclosure, I want the BB to be my 1st go to for mtl. I love everything about it, and playing with all the ways you can customize it. But..... even with all the options I like in it, it is still miles away from my go to mtl's. 2019 kayfun and Cthulhu 1928 mtl rda. I suspect this is just due to time. I have spent countless hours getting both of them exactly like I like them. That's why I'll keep asking and trying, and really appreciate all the input.

I remember getting my first Kayfun lite +, and thinking this thing sucks. Then, through lots of help, It became my go to vape for like 3 years. I still use them, and probably would exclusively it they weren't so damn tall and ugly :giggle: Point is, I don't mind working my ass off to get there, and couldn't do it without others telling me how they got there. So thanks all, and keep em coming. I'll keep asking

Of course I would. Probably need to try it in @BobsHere Clear and a Rat Black as well :xD::p
Of course you do.

When I had an Xeta I fluffed the wick, no thinning, and would cut it almost flush with cap, like a mm away. Then I would poke around the middle of the wick a bit to fluff the ends a little more ensuring the port was filled. More like a dam method than leaving long tails. Sometimes it would gurgle just a bit after refilling but cleared after a couple hits. Could chain it after that.

Since we're talking about builds, is there any way I could get a cooler vape without decreasing my vapor production?

Edit: this new tip is burning my lips.

Smaller gauge wire in parallel with a smaller ID for more air. Just a guess

Anyone know if the xeta or vapeshell has more airflow wide open?

I've never tried the vapeshell in DL.

Xeta all day. I've heard that it has the most of all of the BB RBAs save for the Flow or the Boxxer

Was afraid of that. I like the vape off it as DL but it's still a bitch to get it in a boro. Especially authentic boros.

I have to put the boro on the side of the counter and put all my weight on the top chimney to get the build deck to go through the bottom of the boro.

Yeah I hate that about it. I have a precision screwdriver that I take the bit out of and push through the chimney.
It's an amazing vape but they definitely screwed up with the tolerances on them. If it didn't vape so well they would've lost their asses on them for sure.

Juice the hell out of both and put it in and out a couple times from the outside to help center the oring. I used half a wooden clothes line clip to push it down perfectly straight on the inside.

I’d change the ORings, ask what the sizes are and order a set a size down to see if that fixes it.

Example: the set might be a 12x1.25 bottom and 14x1 top

Look for a 12x1 and 14x.75

I have some FF panels and inners I'd like to sell but I don't think VU has the market for it.

What do you guys think?

You never know with VU. Facebook or Reddit would be the way to go, but I'd still post it here just to cover all your bases.

FF always seems to sell well in BB Classies. Most on FB are fine. Keep it US only, there is some seller protection in G&S, put your tracking on PP details. Take pictures and save the messages.
I'll vouch for you

Still have 4 days to complete, but it was nagging me when I went to bed at 9pm... always been the type to finish what I start to completion... otherwise I feel I left things undone and it eats at me.

Anyway, I just finished... but yeah, Sunday Night/Monday early Bull shit right here LOL

@R3alJim Shady where did you sell you Dvarw so fast? Saw it listed in the BB HE trading post and here. Mine is just laying around in both places....I'm not in alot of groups outside of BB related.

I sold it on Reddit within hours of posting. It sat in FB BST groups for days... I feel like unless you're part of the vape "in crowd" no one looks at your gear.
I had a Skyline up for weeks in great condition with all kinds of accessories and it sat for weeks. I just saw like three go up and sell within hours priced way higher than mine.

Thanks, think you're right about the in crowd. Don't post really at all, and don't FB so there's nothing on my page.

I have now set up the Xeta every way possible. Spitting and gurgling through the chimney and dt no matter how I do it. Wtf am I doing wrong? Seems it has to be a wicking issue, but idk what I could do different. Fairly tight through the coil, cut like this. Any ideas?
View attachment 154826
I run mine the same 2.5mm alien coil no insert rayon snug but not overly tight and cut the wick tails FLUSH with the cap and fluffed. No spit or gurgle at all though I get some condensation on the 510 nut as I do with all the bridges
