Maybe if we drive our trucks around the block a few more times we can actually get some of that fake global warming...

Yeah, and likely it won't be spring until May. Seriously, the high was like 32 and the snow this morning was supposed to quit at 3 PM, but it is still snowing now and 17 degrees. Our world is white again.

Not sure if I could use any kind of metal detector around here... likely would spend all day digging up beer bottle caps. :)

Those advisories are because the idiots at the weather forecaster station think we are as dumb as they are -- that is, we can't look out the window either. We had horizontal snow most of the morning (winds 30-35 mph) and while the guessers said we might get 1", we had at least 3" of new shit on the ground by this afternoon. They said more snow overnight. with 1-3" accumulation, so if they were off by a factor of 3X this morning, maybe we will get 3-9 more inches. I guess bob will get fired up again tomorrow.

When are the media going to come to the realization that every single act of random violence (school shootings, campus violence, etc.) in this country has always been done by a democrat? You can check the stats on that and you'll find I am right. Only idiots blame the republicans and want to take away our guns when it is they who are doing the killings (or attempted killings). Maybe we have been being too nice. Maybe it is time to return the favors.

I see it was a pretty shitty day on the Prairie....hopefully spring will arrive early this year....rather than June.......

I am certainly wishing for that. If it would be so gracious, maybe we could even plant a garden this year and actually get something out of it beside six soggy tomatoes......

I walked about 5 miles today, which seems like it was uphill both ways. I'm not sure which is harder, up or down?

I like uphill, even though there is slightly more stress involved. It feels like I am going somewhere. To me, down always feels like I am leaving.

Well, were they wrong again?.......:)
I really cannot tell definitively how much additional snow we got because the wind was blowing all night and moved it around in drifts. I noted the approximate depth as I was scooping with bob and I'd say anywhere from 6" to 18" depending on which path I was clearing. The forecast was 1" during the day and 1-3" at night and my best guess is that we got an average of 9" overall for the 24-hour period when they suggested 4" max.

I started scooping just after noon today and about 1 PM, the clouds moved off and we had a sunny day, but it still did not get more than 29 degrees. After a couple hours in bob, I was pretty damn cold and my knees were screaming from pushing the pedals. It was nice to come back in the house and get warmed up.

Sounds like an all round shitty day.

I walked a few miles today, another nada-zilch.....but I did get one hell of a workout......:)

It says light snow showers possible, with gusty wind....does that mean blizzard conditions in layman's terms.

Well, it certainly could mean that, but right at the moment, absolutely nothing is going on out there. When was this supposed to happen?

Hey, I thought you were planning to not be here for a couple days. Am I just having late night hallucinations? ;)

I looked at the weather earlier today....they claimed wind and show. If it's decent, that's good, they were wrong again.

There was snow on all the mountain tops here this morning, but it was about 50 degrees at 6:30 this morning. Was a pretty decent day.

Yeah, Dale, your guess was closer to reality than the official weather guessers. A cold front ran over us right around sunrise. Temperature dropped from 32 to 9 in about an hour. Wind was about 25 with gusts to about 40 and the snow was horizontal. As Lannie implied above, it is supposed to get colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra tonight (or is that a well digger's ass in Alaska?). o_O
