Vape mail today was a VSticking VK530 mod in Black Mesh and a red (pink-purple) Freemax Fireluke tank (not mesh, the original). Looks great together, and vapes fine with the factory coil that was in the tank (0.18 ohms I think, running it at 50W). When this coil wears out I'll build the RTA and use it.

Screen on this VSticking mod is fabulous. I have some kind of Cheshire Cat wallpaper on here that is so cute, and I swear the graphics on this screen are better than on my iPhone. I guess I'll play with the TC at some point after I've built the RTA - don't think this coil is stainess, so no point right now.

May not leave this combination together, not sure I'm really putting the mod through its paces with this tank, but giving it some thought.

Hey guys & gals. The new Lostvape Q Ultra AIO Pod system now has an rba FINALLY for the pods. I wonder if they are compatible with the Lostvape DNA pod some of us got? I’m going to look into it.

Does anyone know? Thanks everyone!
From what I found so far. 1 written review & 1 YouTube vid. Unfortunately the LV Q Ultra rba is NOT backwards compatible. :poop::poop::poop:

So many were waiting for an rba option. Lostvape finally listened but of course they want us to spend more $$ now. :poop:

Oh yes Thanks to @gsmit1 - he walks us thru the firmware upgrade and showed us how to get a picture on our Vsticking.
I put my Dragon avatar on mine.

I still love that mod. :) It was very gratifying seeing how happy you were getting that pic on there :D Can you believe that's been over a year now.

I don't know if you have any other YIHI driven devices, but if this is your first one, don't get frustrated.

The settings and menu system are the least intuitive by far of anything I've seen. However, once you get a grip on how everything works, it's not bad. Just a bit more complicated and totally different from everything else. Even other joystick mods.

I had one Yihi device before. This one is much simpler than the other. The joystick helps a great deal with that.

Yes, thanks to @gsmit1 instructions I was able to get my beloved Bebe, my avatar on mine. But truth be told it was a pain in the you know where :D

Haha- you are so right, took the better part of the day to upgrade the firmware and install one picture, thank goodness for @gsmit1 here to help us- not as simple as Evolv/Ecribe, that takes about 15 minutes- actually takes me longer to figure out what custom screen I want! Easy Peasy.
Also I am one of the unlucky few that has a parasitic battery drain on my Vsticking- I cannot leave the batteries in my mod. I take the batteries out when I am not using it, will drain my batteries to unsafe levels.
My first and last Yihi! Yihi USA was no help either, I contacted them and they do not support the Vsticking!
These batteries were removed from my Vsticking after 3 days of sitting idle and unused with fully charged batteries- glad I found this issue before it ruined my batteries.

i left batts in my G-Class for several days. that 2.7 is nothing. the batts are just fine now, charged no problem.

btw, for those that don't know, if you peal off the sticker on the batts, the battery info is under there.

I believe my mod would have drained those batteries even farther if I didn't remove them from the mod.
Just didn't want to ruin the batteries. One battery got down to 2.62- I did recharge them back to 4.20 , now use them in the Liion Flashlights I have.

The mod would of.

All regulated mods with clicks to on and clicks to off have a parasitic draw, it’s that standby for clicks that is the draw.

Some are very minor and I mean trivially minor, some other mods aren’t.

Batteries are ok to 2.5 and depending on the mfgs specs could be a tad lower.

But I assume I’m in the minority, I don’t leave batteries in my mods if not in use, or overnight.

Even in my mechs, go to sleep... I remove the batteries.

I can say definitively that THIS ^^^^^^ is not my thing. If I messed with that mod all day to upgrade firmware, I'd chuck it out the front door. I've spent a lot of years messing with various types of gizmos, and I have very, very little patience with it any more.

If the mod does a decent job with TC, it'll be fine like it is for now. Not looking for a new hobby or a project. :)

Actually when the Vesta died, I swore I'd never buy another Yihi device. I'm glad I did, though, because this one isn't nearly the PITA that the Vesta was. But still I'm not gonna mess with it but so much.

@nadalama where did you get hung up? Ladies, I am not being condescending in any way at all, I hope you know me well enough by now to know that I'm not like that, but it's not THAT hard. :)

@Heartsdelight had some trouble because she was using an old laptop because it was the only windows machine available and there was an issue getting the device recognized. That's a different thing.

There I go again. Not reading carefully enough :wait:
IF I messed with that mod all day to upgrade firmware,
I read that as saying that you did mess with it all day. I missed the IF. And knowing that you have a computer background, it had me a bit mystified.

No worries. I appreciate your being so helpful. I just have a fuse that's about a millimeter long when it comes to putzing with mechanical/electronic things these days! 30 years of user support will make a nervous wreck out of a person. :kickbutt: (That is not you! That is the thing being messed with! Just ask my Kayfun 4.)

That is what I had at 1st, getting the device to recognize- but you walked me thru step by step and Viola I did it! Not bad at all with your help!
You had gone thru all the trouble to make a ZIP file- Vsticking didn't have the firmware upgrade- you did and it was so helpful, Thank You! So awesome of you to take the time and do all of this and help us.

Just ask my Kayfun 4.)

That thing was simply unbelievable. I am a huge Kayfun fan. Lite + was my go to for years, and now the 2019. I will forever use these two no matter what they come out with.

The V4 on the other hand....... I remember being soooo excited to get it. I took it apart to clean and thought wtf? Looked at the little leaflet inside and thought, Oh, I didn't get a bad one, it really does have 9,438 parts :confused::confused: when I finally did get it together (hours), and working right (hours), I thought eh, it's ok  haven't touched it since and never will again. I can clean, build, wick, fill and vape a + or 2019 in about 20 minutes :)

As you know, I also have been a computer support guy for 21 years now :D Yes, dealing with the people is FAAAAAR more trying than dealing with the machines LOL!

We have a thread about this mod where I got into this in detail. Most folks are just not computer people. Nothing (necessarily) to do with intelligence, they're just not computer people and understandably have no interest in becoming computer people. All they want is for ______________ to do what they're trying to get it to do and they want you to make it do that.

I still have to remember that what might be brain dead simple for me looks like an MIT doctoral thesis to the average computer user. I do however believe that most of them have it in their heads that ANYthing involving computers is automatically reserved for some elite class of towering technical geniuses whose cerebral prowess dwarfs the rest of humanity.

NOT SO :)

Using this forum requires more technical skill than a firmware upgrade. Literally. Even with YIHI devices. The difference is that folks use this forum software often and long enough for it to become second nature. Think of when we see somebody who shows up here every so often who hasn't been on internet forums very much. They're asking questions about the most basic operations. not because they're a dummy, but because they just don't know how it works.

Somebody would have to go out of their way to render most mods permanently unusable with even a botched firmware upgrade.

I never could teach my mom how to use a PC. I gave up. She has it firmly planted in her mind that it is SO HARD and I'll mess it up if I do something wrong. Until that is overcome, there is no helping somebody in that frame of mind.

That's what's going on with firmware upgrades and vaping hardware.

It is indeed my pleasure :)

Now that you see how it works, think if you did it 10 more times. You'd be like "Sheesh, I don't know how I ever had any trouble with this LOL!" :D
