My sister and I talked last week about her coming to stay for a few days to try to get her car back on the road. It's been parked in a field at our place for several years, long story that I won't go into now. When she called today to finalize arrangements, I just had to tell her we have to put it off. I am not comfortable bringing anyone who doesn't live here into the house right now, especially if they plan to go out to all kinds of public places, and require me to drive them around and get exposed to all of that myself. I'm just not going to do it.

I've had six bouts of staph to fight off in the last eight months. I'm not going anywhere near anybody for a while. My work might not understand, but they are going to learn all about it on Monday. Y'all wish me luck. If they fire me, I'll just call Social Security and sign up. Medicare will be in effect in a few months. Screw it.
Smart, Nada. If you can work from home, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t.

Can't like that.
We are entering troubling times and my guess is that it will last for 2 months at least probably 3.

I broke down and ordered three more rolls of the wire that myVpro had on hand, two of the tri-core and one of the dual core Claptons. That is enough wire, when added to what I already have.

I think it was @Jinx'd who asked in another thread, "do coils wear out?" I really don't know that they do, have never been patient enough to use a coil all the way to the end of its lifespan. I get adventurous with something new, and invariably I replace coils before they really need to be replaced. Might be time to stop doing that, though.

Mixing habits might need to change, too, depending on what happens with flavors and nicotine.

Between thinking about all of this deeming regulation stuff, and the COVID-19 stuff, I am damn depressed today. Placed a grocery order to pick up tomorrow morning from Walmart, have no idea if I'll get half of what I've bought. It is a crazy time.
I went to Walmart today coincidentally. There's usually an entire row of toilet paper. It was all gone. "The sky is falling, what do we need? Oh I know ASSWIPE and lots of it!!" My mom is in Yuma AZ and she said it's the same way.

I talked to a worker guy that was stocking pizzas. He told me that lastnight he was stocking shelves and ladies were waiting for him to open the boxes or cases. One lady yelled "I'm taking that whole case of Lysol!" He said a fight almost broke out because there was other ladies waiting for it too. He said, they all got a chance to get some but jeez woman. The news is making people hysterical. They think if they get all this shit they're going to be okay.

I want to stay away from towns and stuff too. I live out in the boonies and don't need to go far for work.

how did ya make a mess ? knock a bottle over ?
No, just by tipping the pg and vg from 500 ml bottles into the 10ml syringes and the drips, now n then an over spill, after each time doing so going on the bench. Then as I finish each mix measuring the flavours pushing the syringe aside for the next one. Its a cumulative effect rather than one incident. Dont worry its all done bottle/mix wise clean, its just the bench top that suffers. I really though should implement a better system :giggle: one day.

I just keep premixed 50/50 in a condiment bottle and top off by 120 ml bottle after adding the flavorings.
I do not consider the exact PG/VG ratio to be critical.
And I know where 120 ml is on the bottle a few ml off? no worries.
Flavoring now I measure exact.

just save your old, but still useable coils. if you save them, you may not need them. if you don't save them, you "will" need them.

I always just pour some from the large quarts and gallons into small glass bottles I keep on the counter -- keep a 60ml bottle of PG and a 30ml bottle of VG, but I also keep a 16 oz bottle of each, which I pour from into my 50ml graduated cylinder; just using the smaller bottles for the fractional odd amounts; those fractional amounts, I use a syringe for. Really don't understand why people have such an aversion to syringes; they're a fandamntastic way to measure ml's and fractions of ml's. Yes, VG can be difficult with a syringe, which is why I have a 14ga needle that I use for the VG fractions.

Coils do wear out, after a while. They'll break, when they get old and worn-out. I see no point in keeping a burnt, black, gunked-up coil, when it takes like 30 seconds to wrap a new one, and a minute or two to get it mounted. Plus the fact that in removing them, they usually come completely uncoiled.

Yeah... two or three minutes. Maybe 5 minutes if you count getting it wicked and primed and ready to go.

dude, cut to the chase = do the whole wall.
I am leaning that way, but have to do it slowly so I don't put the wife in a state of shock...lol. I can definitely see it is getting there! I'm hoping expanding a little at a time that she won't fully comprehend the whole wall has been covered until it's already covered or close enough it won't make a difference if I finish.

Agreed. I'll usually keep claptons in for a few months before I replace them even if I make the wire. I just bought them this time due to laziness but when I make them, I usually do 2 or 3 1' long sticks and that's a year's worth for an all day vape atty pretty easy.

As for what I did today that was vape related... I cleaned up all my Minibooks, preparatory to wrapping my 2 oldest white ones with those new wraps I got.

I also noted, and this is really weird... the magnets on the mod-side of the battery door had come out, unglued, from their little niches, and were stuck to the magnets on the door itself. I tried to apply some superglue and get them back into the niches, but that was a no-go; they fit so closely in those niches, only a machine could apply glue and then get the little magnets into those close-fitting niches. So, I did what I could to clean up the mess of superglue and just leave them the way they are, with one set of the magnets just magnetically stuck to their mates on the door. They've apparently been that way for a while without me even noticing it (my son noticed it the other day when I was putting in a fresh battery), so I reckon they can just stay that way.

At least all my Minibooks are now clean and shining, and the two older white ones also had some dings touched up with white nail polish. The dings are right on edges, so even putting on the wraps wouldn't have covered them, so I took care of them with the nail polish. Once I get 'em wrapped, I'll take some pics and post 'em. :)

put a drop of SG on something that won't soak it in. take a pin or piece of wire, and get a small drop on that, then apply in to recess. insert magnet.
as you know MAKE SURE it is in the correct way.

Yeah, no, I don't think I'm gonna try it again; I nearly fucked up the one mod I was working on, and had to put that mod into my vise for a few hours to get that door shutting properly again. I was using my ceramic-tipped tweezers, and there's just no way to easily and properly get the magnet positioned. So, I'll just leave them as they are. I'm not in the habit of even opening those doors when I'm out, and the "loose" magnets are stuck pretty firmly to their mates in the doors, so they should be fine, just as they are, just as they've been for how ever long they've been like that. Nice thing about those mods is if I notice the battery getting low whle I'm out, they do have a USB charge port. It's really only for emergencies, because I know it's not the safest way to charge those batteries, but it's nice to have in an emergency.

Rebuilt a Hellvape Rebirth RTA to see if I could get a better vape from it, and I did. Don't know what I was thinking when I built it the first time, but it was ragged. I put a nice 4mm tri-core N80 Clapton in it, 0.30 ohms. It's a little bit sluggish on initial ramp-up, but light years better than it was.

Do you have Prime? Do you want a link to the PG & VG I buy from Amazon? Seems like it's a good buy to me. 500ml of each for $13.95 shipped with Prime.

Well, never mind. The item I order that has both PG and VG is unavailable.

They have two 500ml bottles of VG, and a separate item of two 500ml bottles of PG, and they are $16.95 each. Damn.

Yes I have prime, but what I found was more expensive than BCF, use to get essential depot off amazon, they listed as $80 for a gallon  BCF is only $31

You can get a gallon of each from LNW for $54.02 shipped (unless shipping costs more to where you are). VG is $13.99, PG is $22.99, shipping is $22.58, code ELRECIPES gets 15% off.

Last week, I bought a used vaporesso swag v1 kit and a bnib recurve dual off a guy on ecr. They came in to work Saturday so I got them when I got to the office today. I threw my Kayfun on the swag and really like the size. It definitely reminds me of my istick picos I used to have...one of which started auto firing a couple of years ago and the other disappeared around the same time. I really like the size of the swag in my pocket and the kayfun looks better on it than it will on any other mod due to it being such a tall tank. The buttons are also much nicer on the swag. I hope it lasts awhile.

Anywho, my gallon of vg came in today so I'm no longer in juice conservation mode but before I made some when I got home, I decided to build the recurve to test out. I just used the included coils that came in the box and I've gotta say, this is a damn fine dripper. I had to rob a 510 adapter from another atty to use a drip tip I like (it's a factory wide bore delrin tip that came with another rda years ago-- no idea which one but I like the profile of it) as I'm not a fan of the giant low profile 810 tips that are in style today and my favorite 810 tips are still stuck in china. That being said, the draw is ridiculously smooth and the flavor is fantastic. I have to say, Mike Vapes and Wotofo killed it on this one. I cleaned up and built my OG derringer the other night when I was bored and the flavor on the recurve is very similar to the derringer which surprised the crap out of me.

Unfortunately, I'll have to keep an eye out for a used, relatively cheap dual battery squonker for it. I didn't bother putting the squonk pin in as I know I'm not going to run a dual coil atty on a single battery squonker (I don't run anything needing more than 35ish watts on a single battery because of battery life) so it will likely be a session atty I'll vape at the computer but I knew that's what it would be ahead of time. Even with a dual battery squonker, it'll still be a desk setup due to size which is fine because it is just a damn good vape. I suppose I'll watch for one that will take 2x700 since I'll need a couple more batteries anyhow with 2 other dual and 2 single battery mods in pretty equal rotation and I only have 8 18650s right now.

I'm almost done digging this rabbit hole again and ready to come back to the surface now. Outside of that, I need to pick up a couple of mech squonkers to put in my mech box to cover me just in case. So far, I'm at 3 atties to replace others, 4 mods, and a fresh liter of nic (that I was going to buy regardless). It's a good thing I'm almost done buying because I still need a couple cases of ammo before things get wild closer to November. Fortunately, I knew what I needed this time as I progressed back into things and didn't have to spend thousands to find what I like. LOL

That's my book for the day. ha

Got my latest order of flavors from BCF... so now I have full 4oz bottles of Shisha Strawberry, DX Bavarian, Vanilla Swirl, and CAP Sweet Cream -- all the flavors I use in my strawberry & cream. Still gotta get some more bottles and another liter of nicotine, but then I think I should go ahead and get another 4oz bottle or two of Shisha Strawberry; I think that one might be the most vulnerable to the stupid-as-a-box-of-rocks fuckheads in DC, since it's 1) an import, and 2) not truly a food flavor, but a "shisha" flavor, made by a company that specializes in vape flavors (Inawera).

Sheesh, I can believe that; at one point about 20-odd yrs ago I was at about 3 or 3½ pks a day -- and that was BEFORE the 2000% Obama tax hike on tobacco!

With the mods I recently bought, I may have more than 25 now... but that's including my old sigelei zmax flat-top, and a couple I don't use, and a couple of Coolfire IVs that are apparently somewhat past their expiration date -- one of which randomly turns itself off, and one that for no reason I can determine seems to randomly think it needs charging even when the batt is at like 3.9v.
