Lowes had nice big packs of paper towels.
Like the bounty Selecta size quality but another brand.
they also sell toilet paper but had none at the one I go to.
I found Sparkle select a size double rolls at Wally world .com when I found the TP yesterday.

Last trip to the walmart done, just to get snack to please the little humans and water.
Also ordered some wings from BW3s because I know I wont have that for a while

Anymore trips out of the house will be solely to transport children.

On another note, my best friend from home is in the hospital with 103.4 fever and waiting for a diagnosis. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, we've been friends for over 30 years.

I have spoken with people in NYC today and they are staying in and said it is quiet. The Media is making it worse than it actually is believe me when I tell you this for the 900th time~!

It’s okay in my neighborhood, thank God. It’s just quieter than usual. It’s spooky at night if you go outside, since there’s basically no one around.

We’re lucky since it’s in the City that things are bad.

Positive thoughts transmitted your friends way. And to you and yours as well.

Scotty from marketing (Scott Morrison's current nick name) is giving me 2 lots of $750 to spend on the Australian economy.

Trouble is that we lack manufacturing industry in Australia.

I'm thinking that around $200 can be spent on a nice bottle of Aussie single malt. Which is good for flu season, and certainly can't hurt during viral pandemic.

But, I want to be a good citizen and not buy a European mod etc. We are encouraged to spend recklessly asap locally. Hence giving it to pensioners, not high income earners who would put it towards mortgages etc.

I feel pressured. A bit unfair.

Oh, have also budgeted for gifts for all my mate's pets, excluding cats, who are cunts.

We in the US are rumored to be getting free govt money soon too.
Already discussed it with the wife and it will be used to help the grandkids thru this.
Our modest income is stable and we do not actually need it.
Saw that. Heard $1 trillion of pre election generosity? Our elections are not fixed term, but at least 2 years away. So ours isn't as good

Well, I’m still up. Tried to go to bed earlier, but we started talking about the restaurant, so now my mind is spinning. There’s still so much to do.....

Thinking about selling some vape stuff to get a little extra cash.....knowing that I may not be able to. Money will be tight for everyone soon, I’m thinking. But I’ll probably give it a try. Also trying to think of ways to make money while waiting to see if I qualify for unemployment....which I’m not sure I do, being the owner, yet being paid by the business with an actual check. We shall see. I’ve applied for every grocery store in town plus Lowe’s, Costco and Sam’s, but I’m vying for jobs with thousands of suddenly unemployed people.

I’m really glad Nada suggested this thread. It makes me happy to see people checking in and letting us know what’s going on elsewhere. Makes it easier to feel not alone.

Victoria (my state) is closing non essential services starting in 48 hours now.

Still looking into what this means.
We're expecting that announcement in Ohio today as well.

Over here Gamestop is trying to get exempted as an essential service to prevent closing.
if you do not know they sell XBOX, etc game stuff.
Not surprising. Both of my kids bought Animal Crossing so they can play together. I’ll bet a LOT of video game playing is going to happen.

Another day in sunny San Diego

But we are on lock down.

Life would be beach bound, taking pictures with the wife... enjoying life.

But we are at home, safe, secure and most of all symptom free.

After the morning coffee, I’ll be making my daily phone calls to my mums, sisters and the hand full of friends I have.

Glad I got that 10lb order of coffee in, was delivered yesterday.

My favorite coffee roasters are closed.

Bird Rock coffee and Klatch coffee

Got an email from our storage facility... they consider themselves “essential” and made the point of people’s stuff is essential

Nothing new here. One of us will venture out tonight and pick up the order from Walmart. It will probably be me - hubbs has problems driving at night any more.

North Carolina has caught and surpassed Viriginia in the number of reported cases. There has been a third death in Virginia, this one in Fairfax (near DC).

I did put together a spreadsheet yesterday for DIY recipes, will test it some today to see what else I can do to make it a little easier to use, then start copying some recipes off ELR.

I'm home with my wife, dog, and two cats. No road trips for me for a while I think. I have stuff for work I can do from home so the job is still good. Health wise I'm good, no colds, flu, or Covid-19 symptoms.

It was weird flying over Los Angeles Friday on my way home from Texas. Friday evenings there the freeways are usually parking lots, but they were all free flowing that I could see from the airplane. On my flights Friday there were very few people on them. On my LAX to Fresno flight there were 9 passengers and the pilot said that was the most he had all day. Airlines are going to be hurting. Driving home from the Fresno airport I was surprised to see what appeared to be close to normal traffic at 8pm. I guess folks were trying to get last minute stuff done.

Yesterday, I just hung out around the house and didn't go outside much as it was raining off and on. The rain is good as we did have a dry winter here in central Cali.

Today will be strange as we won't be going to Mass since churches are closed. I'll just do some DIY and maybe catch up on stuff on the DVR.

Tomorrow I do have to venture out of the house to get a blood test done for my scheduled physical on Friday and to get my last allergy finally. Tuesday we'll go to Walmart to see what food we can get. They have senior hour from 7am to 8am so we don't have to deal with the masses. My wife and I are both over 60 so we qualify for that.

Just checking in. No trips out planned for around a week or so.
Will be moving the boards I bought yesterday into the basement to let them acclimate for a few days before using them in a few projects.
Need to reorganize the deep freezer for better access to things and maybe more room. will also pull out my PG and VG for more space in there. Nicotine and flavorings stay in there though.

So I am back from my regular Market which was well stocked but had no sliced white bread or Yeast so I can make my own. Went to second store and got a couple of loaves of Pepperidge Farm Sliced Italian Bread but still no yeast. Picked up a few packs of Stella Doro and Hostess for the parents because they like that stuff even though I am not eating it since I went on my semi diet.

People in stores are mainly friendly and courteous and the employees are being overworked. I thanked as many as I could and even told one they are in the class of first responders which he was touched to hear. Then he said they are finally getting Hazard Pay. I told him it is well deserved~!

I am back home safe now to stay I guess and going to do what the Pastor said and fire up the BBQ later for tonight's dinner~!

Just in from NC. We're still alive and breathing well. Wooohoo. Worked all night alone. That's a plus. Staying to ourselves in the wooded home front. A little chilly today but outside stuff to be done. Mainly fork'n spoons. Lol.

I would think that flying right now is very risky.
And yet we still have people doing it for vacation stuff.

Glad yall are all good...

I'm really wishing we took advantage of a chance we had last year to move to move to a more secluded area in the mountains.
I always hated living near humans, now i have justification.

Well we're not that secluded and have neighbors. But far enough back in the woods if you make it to the house you either have business or or really lost. Lol. Just 5 miles from town though
