consistent issue, driving me totally insane

alright so this is a problem ive had consistently for the past several months. i wouldnt call myself a new vaper or anything, but this situation is completely humbling me and im completely clueless

my last mod was a voopoo drag mini 2 using the falcon king 2 tank. worked GREAT for a long time, flavor was great, using the triple mesh coils and element pink lemonade juice. never had a single issue until completely out of the blue one day, it just started... sucking

i didnt change anything about my system. prime the coil, let it sit in the tank for 10 minutes, start at low wattage. 3 hits, raise it 5 watts. 3 more, so on until at the goal wattage. but for some reason it just started not wicking properly. it felt like air wasnt getting to the coil at all and i started burning out coils in a day's time, if it even lasted that long. just straight up no flavor at all, airy dry hits that would occasionally make me gag, and a weird sound and feel to the inhale. i thought whatever, maybe my O-rings. changed the o-rings, issue kept going. swapped to different coils. M2, double mesh, so on, all did the same thing. i thought 'maybe defective coils?'

bought a new tank - OFRF nexmesh 2. read reviews and talked to people, everyone said it was great. coils last 3 weeks, flavor is amazing, all that shit. LOVED the pop-in feature for coils, too. try it out, SAME issue. coils never wick right despite how much i prime it, weird 'airy' feel to pulling, and a lack of flavor entirely. i thought after this, maybe it was the mod.

bought a new mod. thought, 'fuck it.' and bought a new tank as well just in case. same tank, just a different one - figured maybe this TANK was defective. got it all set up, new tank new mod, did all the steps... and STILL happened. SAME problem.

tried at least 8 different juices. 80/20, 75/25, or 70/30 for all of them. Not a SINGLE one worked, and nobody i talked to can pinpoint the problem. what the hell do i do??

to reiterate my steps are:

-prime the coil. drip juice into the top cotton, letting it soak until all the holes are completely saturated
-insert coil into the tank, fill it, let it sit for 10 minutes
-start at lowest recommended wattage and go up slowly. 3 hits, up 5 watts. 3 hits, up 5 watts.

what am i doing wrong?? at this point it HAS to be something im doing, theres no way id get THIS MUCH defective product. anyone have any idea? experienced something similar, or know someone who has?

What wattage are the coils rated at and what wattage are you vaping them. The closer to the max wattage of the coil the faster it will burn up.
Also are you consistently vaping the same flavor juice. Most vapers switch flavors so you don't get vapers tounge. Which is where you pallet is so used to the flavor you can't taste it. It happens to a lot of people. You can try clearing your pallet by sniffing coffee or a shot of lemon juice. But having different flavors is almost a must. And now that you have 2 setups you can run 2 flavors all the time.

Other than that I'm not sure. O coffee yet running through my veins

nexmesh 02 is rated at 55-85. i start at 40 and slowly ramp up to 80, but even at 80 all the reviews i saw and people i asked said the coils last 2-3 weeks...

i have on my desk 6 different flavors, tried all of them. i know its not vaper's tongue because i swap them up constantly, but none of them seem to wick, like, at all.

thanks for the response

Try starting at 25 and ramp up to 45 or 50. Sounds like you've tried everything else. While you're at it, close your airflow down some, if you've had it full-open the whole time. Flavor comes generally with a bit less air and a bit lower wattage.

if i close the airflow AT ALL, like even a tiny bit, the small amount of flavor i do get basically diseappears completely, and its dry. like hitting it without juice at all. even when i turned it down to 50.

New coil break in could take a couple tanks.
Vapor lock? But, it would have done it b4? Do you get any wicking bubbles when you hit it?,,,or even 1?
Try purge?
But you've owned it for a while and liked it,, doing what you do, till now.

Maybe its time for a nice easy to coil single coil (or mesh) RTA...problem solved:)

ive had people recommend RTAs specifically for this problem... i liked sub-ohm because it was less work rofl

i do get vapor lock... constantly... its been vapor locking for the whole time. in different tanks, different coils, different juices... idk what keeps happening. sometimes just one bubble, sometimes a couple

When you say RTA = more work, not really, in the grand scheme of things. If it takes 10 - 15 mins to coil or clean a coil, and rewick, it's well worth it.
Better vape and a vape that you've customized to you. No wondering on coils and if they authentic or any variations in build quality from coil to coil, and costs so much less. So sorry, if ease is the only attribute, then I don't buy it :D

What if your sweet spot is .17? or .24, N80 instead of .2 kanthal? @ 40-50w?
