A Question For SQ Owners

Every video of SQs with bare aluminum frame the aluminum looks really tore up, like this mod is particularly susceptible to scratching.

I like the black frame version with gold doors, but the gold doors look like they're anodized, vs a solid black SQ where the whole mod is painted or PVD or whatever finish they use.

Is a solid color SQ going to have a more durable finish than the SQs where the finish looks like anodized? Thanks for any input.

that looks like abuse to me. while i don't know, i would bet that the frames are also anodized.

I think this mod would interest me more if it was cerakoted. The above pics are from 3 veteran vapers who've been doing vids for years and have a hand in designing gear, not some Joey Bagodonuts on reddit.
I think this pushes me toward the VA if I do end up buying one more squonker.

I have two SQs and bought both of them used.
I use them both regularly and both are in pristine condition.

Given a choice I like anodized, I have several anodized mods and the paint doesn't chip.

My anodized parts of my SQs are super durable and silky smooth. My raw metal doors are more susceptible to scratches, but with any polished metals that is going to be an issue especially with aluminum (which both SQ and VA are made from). I do get paint wear on my VA mods pretty rapidly, their finish isn't as nice or durable as the SQ. I notice the finish worn off the bottom corners of spades quite often.

I think I also remember bogan saying his SQ scratches was his own fault. He said something like he scratched the top of his by vigorously thinning the tails of his wick and over shot it a bit.
