Tony Jones and Collingwood president Eddie McGuire have a fiery exchange over whether McGuire will issue club membership refunds
Collingwood president Eddie McGuire and Nine News reporter Tony Jones have been involved in a fiery exchange when Jones pushed McGuire about membership refunds.
With the AFL going through an unprecedented financial crisis due to the coronavirus outbreak, McGuire urged supporters to stick with their clubs, but refused to guarantee that Collingwood members who seek a refund would indeed receive one.
McGuire maintained that clubs would die without the continued support of their respective members, touching back to the very beginning of the Collingwood Football Club in the 1890s.
"It's as simple as this: if you don't have members, you don't have a club," he told Nine News.

Eddie always makes me shake my head mate. And you know I'm a Collingwood supporter. Here is a bit of my history. I grew up in Gladstone Park. In the Broady Boys days. We were just across the valley from Broady. Broadmeadows, the valley, Gladstone Park. Cant get any closer. I knew plenty of the Broady Boys, me and my mates went there often. Was the closest train station. Olsen Place, crazy area, but had mates there and often went there. 80's they had their shop windows guarded by cyclone wire! But dont get me wrong, even though we went there and had Broady Boy mates, we were not into the gang fights and violence like them. When things went nuts we stayed away. Saw a lot of crazy stuff. But here is this. Eddy wanna be, over and over makes himself out to be because as a kid he lived there to be like a Broady Boy gang member. What an utter joke. Nobody I knew even knew him, no Broady Boy knew him, and even now I still know one and he laughs at the idea of Eddy associating his time there with them. He was nothing but a private schooled nerd that was fully insulated from anything to do with them. His references to them I can say are 100% wanna be fantasy to give himself a false tough guy rep. I’m sure that all they have heard is word of mouth about what’s going on and are probably distancing their groups from everybody else...but in groups nonetheless. They’re good people....just in their own world for the most part.

my forklifting skills are being abused this week.
Normally get 2-4 building material trucks a week.
I got 5 on Monday.....2 today and at least 1 tomorrow.
Very few things can stay outside in the “bullpen”...like concrete block and pressure treated lumber, but everything else has to come inside.
I’m in the middle of a 25 lbs. of shiate and only a 5 lb. shiate bag to put it in dilemma. I usually go weeks at a time without having to engage with the top dog store manager but today she apparently felt compassionate and decided to visit the slum side of the store. (I always say that we are the red headed stepchildren of Lowe’s). She stood there for a full 30 seconds trying to comprehend what she was seeing then asked me where I was going to put all of “that stuff”. Before I could tell her I had an idea where to put it, my immediate manager jumped in (to save me I’m guessing...cuz she knows me pretty well) and told her I had a plan. After the store manager left I looked at my manager and said you know my plan is to shove as much of that crap as I can in the back corner ant the rest in aisle 50.

You want one of my warehouse guys? One sits on his 'lift facing one wall. When he gets tired of that view he turns around and looks at the other wall. Every so often he'll drive up and down the aisles to check if any of the moving crates or pallets have decided to move by themselves.
The other one will move pallets from one location to a better spot, then do laps from the front to the back. The best is when he comes into the office to ask for help in finding a pallet that he most likely moved the day before.
We got word from our top dog manager(s) that we have to "watch" our employee's hours, since business is slowing down. Those two plus our almost ex-gm's wife that's in our office our on the top of my list for reduced hours. I'm salaried, but I'd be glad to open up at 6:00am and leave after 8 hours, but they would have to find some other dummy to lock up the warehouse and yard.

Go to the tools section in aisle 6 and grab a circular saw to fix the panel one. If you can't macgyver it, I'm sure you'll be happy to do free hand cuts for your customers. Peeps with the red apron do that kind of stuff, right?

But the older one totally played it wrong. Got cocky and didn’t protect the bone properly.
