Welp, it's another 30 days in the hole for Ohio... gov extended SAH to May 29th.

One thing that I learned during all of the Corona virus thing is that Target apparently sells groceries?
Do they all? And how long has this been a thing?
Have not been in a Target in years but did not recall them selling groceries aside from baby formula and such.

Good morning VU!

Another day in parasite... I mean paradise! ;)

Braved the post office today... sent off a care package. Going to be RAD!

Anyhoo, family is good, and we are also.

Waiting for the spike to happen... its an inevitable.

Be safe everyone!

As per the WH/CDC guidelines. All indicators in OH are still on the rise and have not even shown a plateau, let alone a decline for 14 days.
And for all that to happen would take at least around 1 month.
Yeah, I know. But this has trickled down to Chris's job now... runs are slim cause the restaurants are all closed and he hauls mostly restaurant supplies. Hoping this Care Act thing goes through with the $2000/$1000 debit card deal from the Treasury.

Our Target has had a grocery section since it opened like 15 years ago.

how you holding up....?
I'm doing okay @DaBunny Thank you so much for asking. Lat night I actually got some sleep. I sort of woke up in a daze from the phone ringing at 7:30 :) Guess I must have really been out like a light. :)

My girlfriend from across the street brought me a wonderful homemade loaf of French Honey bread. That was so sweet of her and it is fabulous.

Ask my kids about that one. Lol. I'll bust their head to the white meat. Well not really but they know I'll bust their ass. You just have to stop doing it publicly. Training them to not be asshole adults is a full time job. It's up to us as parents to train them to be hard working and courteous to others. And hey, as long as your kids believe that you will body slam them off a roof you have the upper hand.

My dad used to make me wait in my room before he spanked me. That was the worst! I think I was like 6 years old and I would just get so scared.

Look at the way kids are today that never got hit, though. They take advantage of their parents. And yep, they’re generally assholes.

Well, don’t push ‘em off the roof. But yeah, whoop ‘em every so often.

Doing well here. Going to the orthopedic doctor tomorrow for my knee. The swelling has gone down after just a day and a half of the new antibiotics.
Work is going pretty well. Im able to get quite a bit done without bending and straining it. I got a whole house to paint and time to do it. So plenty of things that don't involve crawling or straining it while it gets better.

Making more masks with my wife this evening.
It's good to have extras on hand. And my employee is starting back to work with me on Monday, so I'm going to provide her with a few of our home made masks.

That’s so cool that you have a woman working with you. Hope your knee feels better, Chain. to you and the wife.

Friday check. Spent yesterday with a big ole headache. Had an appt yesterday for my upgraded sound processor, so the headache was normal. I got this bad little mofo.

upload_2020-5-1_15-12-5.png

Came with some very cool, fancy gadgets and had to download an app for ease of use! It's pretty awesome. One of the batteries was DOA, so have to wait on that to arrive, will be bouncing back and forth between the new device and the old one, til it gets here.

Today, haven't done a lot, so far. Still a bit of a headache, sat outside with doggie dog for a bit, cats are snoozin' somewhere, loaded the dishwasher. Super exciting times, yo.

Been thinking a lot about ya @debinnv. I wish we all lived in our own little bubble so I could come over and hug your neck and hold your hand. Love ya, girlie.<3

Yeah, she used to run her own painting business. Now she works for me. She's better with a brush than she is at business management. Great employee. Fantastic painter. I don't care if your man, woman or other as long as you can look and act professional and paint to my standards.

Knee is doing much better. Went to the specialist today. They said there's no real damage. It's healing good and fast now that I have proper antibiotics.

It will get better with just antibiotics? What a relief there’s no damage.
I only like painting trim, so I wouldn’t be able to work for you. I’m scared of ladders after falling off one!

I would love to have someone to just paint trim right now... working on a 3200 square foot home. All oak trim, door casings and window casings that all needs a coat of primer and two finish coats of white.
I'll be painting trim for a week before I can start painting walls.

Checking in - thankfully everyone in my sphere is good, considering at least

Rainy day, so back to indoor projects - gonna juice some fresh aloe to make hand sanitizer

But I'm feeling woosie so need to wait for the rain to ease up before heading to the yard to cut any

Many of them do. My experience, the one time I was in Target with my daughter to buy groceries, that's where you go if you have bags of money that you just want to throw around for the hell of it. EVERYTHING was more expensive there than anywhere I'd been for groceries. I asked her what the hell she was thinking, buying groceries for a family of SIX at that place, she just shrugged her shoulders and said the kids loved going to Target. SMH.

Woosie - like, prissy and not wanting to get wet - may should spell it wussy?

Definitely not woozy - but I ate bananas and pineapple so far, as is my usual habit

Yesterday we ate a bunch of different types of papaya - they were pretty good; I don't like regular papaya that much, tastes like cantalope to me, which I definitely do not like at all

Typical exchange, just out of the blue, between me and a grandson:

Me: "Hey, can I give you a whuppin?" (little silly grin)

Grandson: "Uh, no!" (stare of doom)

Me: "Aw, come on, please! I wanna give you a whuppin!" (looking anguished)

Grandson: "Uh-nuh, no way." (beginning to step back a little)

Me: "Dangit, you are NO FUN. I just wanna give a little whuppin." (begging)

Now he gets it. They fall for this every time, but now this one gets it, knows I'm messing THIS TIME. He won't be quite sure NEXT TIME.

Grandson: "Grandma, quit being silly." (laughing)

Are you mixing the aloe with alcohol? It’s been drying my skin out like crazy, so I’ve been just washing more since I’m not going outside.

And some tea tree and lavender oils

We mainly use it to cleanse surfaces when out in public, like on our gloves when we get in the car but are going somewhere else afterwards

And we are still hauling some of our water, so we use it on the spigot handles at the water station, on gas pump handles, stuff like that mainly

I will probably make one with glycerin for that and a small for the aloe for when we do want it on our skin direct

I’m using gentle soap on my hands. But I don’t think I’m in danger inside without hand sanitizer or touching my face. But maybe I’m wrong. It just started getting to me.

Our Target has had a grocery section since it opened like 15 years ago.

I have likely only been to Target once in the last 20 years and that was to the baby section to get some stuff for one of the granddaughters' baby.
It is over an hours drive to get there and have several more places that sell groceries lots closer.

My places are Wally world for pretty much everything except meat and fresh veggies which I get at Krogers. Krogers is also quite a bit higher than wally world.

Passion fruit is like that for me. And some strawberry.
in flavorings I have found no melon related flavoring that is not horrible to me. Except for Flavor Concentrates brand. Their watermelon is accurate if a bit weak. Their flavorings are all natural.
And very few strawberry flavorings work for me. Passion fruit do not like fresh or flavoring.

I like cantaloupe.:oops: I never had passionfruit so no smiley for it!

To eat, yes. My mom used to have melon or grapefruit for us at dinner every night.
But vaping passion fruit is gross to vape for me. I had it once and now I can taste it if it’s in any other juice. Pita. Lol
But I don’t mind it in fruit juice to drink or tea. Go figure!

I’ve only had it as tea or in a juice with other flavors to drink. Maybe they used a different part of the plant in herbal tea or fruit juice/drink.

Or maybe the first time I vaped PF as a single flavor juice, it was just not a great mix. Who knows. :blech:

Grapefruit is hideously bitter to me. Hate the stuff.

Got busy doing work stuff today, but still stuck at home. The cats and dog are loving it and will probably freak when I start traveling again. Basically SSDD still.
