Good morning... well gov gave us another 30 days in the hole. Today we'll be "social distancing' my step dad's 80th birthday. We had a big party planned, but it had to be postponed.

Family and friends all well.
Am very fortunate to be retired getting ss and medicare now. 65 yesterday so medicare kicked in 4/1. I really have a hard time wondering how those in the world now who have lost jobs and all income are getting by. Very scary times for so many.
Stay well everyone.

Morning!

Got the doors and windows open, feels good. Hubby is making his green chili stuff, smells so spicy that I'm glad the house is open!
He could go fishing, but the parks are only open for day use. He goes for 10 days at a time. He enjoys the camping part of it, too.

Stay safe and healthy

Happy Birthday @ccrules!

My Medicare takes effect July 1. I had planned to work a few more years, but if this COVID thing keeps up for long, it could change my plans. My company is an essential business, and we are working, but at such reduced traffic I don't know how long that is sustainable. If anything happens to my job I won't have much choice but to apply for Social Security. At my age and in my condition, finding another job in my field is highly unlikely.

If it comes to that, I'll be thankful for it. It is sure better than being laid off with no income and no insurance.

Ahh yes love medicare. Was paying over $700/mo for insurance. Now pay about $225 for much better insurance Part A, B, D, and G
Once i figured in my ins costs retiring was a wash dollar wise.
And I have a max annual out of pocket exp of $200 I think it is vs 5K with the old policy.
And NO income tax, Wife and I come in just under the cap for tax.

AC/DC stopped being AC/DC when Bon died in my opinion. Lost the edginess that Bon gave it. Same as INXS. Hate it when groups get new singers.

Another of the same here. Bit windy though. Might do some mixing this afternoon.
Hope you are all well.

Bon had a great energy. He was also very cute. Plus his voice was excellent. Our member Mist turned me on to them with Bon, and I really dig them, as they said back then. Lol

Glad to hear you and Mrs. Smigo are keeping well. Sorry about your relatives. Really sad to hear. I’m sorry fo your wife’s loss.

At least PA tells you by zip code. Trying to get info about neighborhoods has been really difficult.

Glad you’re safe and well, CC.

We are considering a trip to the beach, swimming or snorkeling only of course, no sun bathing allowed

We were just reminiscing some, and both agreed we never imagined it being like this :giggle:

thanks! Get info from pa dept of health. I just checked-you can get info by your county on cdc.gov. Don't know if nydept of health has anything.

I’ve been getting info from the Weather app!! Lol The NY sites give basic info for the City or the whole state, pretty much. It’s almost like they don’t want to say. But my county is over 50K cases.

Hope your weather is as nice as it is here today. :birthday hugs:

Beautiful day today. Worked half of it. Then came home and helped the wife with our flower beds. Weeding, spreading mulch the neighbor gave us, setting out the two bird baths, the bird house and the bird feeders.

Things are going pretty good at the moment.

Sitting in the breeze with the wife and the dogs. 75 and sunny out.

Happy birthday.
Yeah, I cant help but feel crime will go through the roof due to desperation after a while. Early days yet but as it goes on and people lose their homes, cars etc. Very different days ahead I feel, sadly to say. Enough people in society were turning dodgy tricks when times were good let alone with whats coming! Economically its like the flooding rains have fallen and still are but havent made it down stream to us yet, but their coming thats for sure.

Happy Birthday @ccrules!
Happy Anniversary @JuicyLucy and Mr. JL!

SSDD day here.

Nice day here in the low 80's. Got a wine delivery today. FedEx guy wanted to give me his device to sign. Told him to put a scribble there and it's good. We got 4 bottles from one the wineries we are members at. Normally they have a pick-up party with a live band and food, but that's a no go with Wuhan Flu.

Our county is finally testing on-demand so the numbers are going up, but the deaths have stayed the same at 3.

Hey there MrMeowgi. I thought my signature would give it away, but if I must tell you....NC.

What part of NC you from?
Near Winston Salem. Oh I replied to you while on Tapatalk and you don't see the signatures unfortunately. Lol. Good to have another north Carolinian here. There's one more that I know of that oddly enough lives in my town.

I apologize for being a wiseguy MrMeowgi. embarrassed2.png My family and I go to Boone, NC a lot for family vacations. We love the mountains. We pass right through Winston Salem on the way there. Maybe one of these times, I can stop for a coffee, and have a meet up. I'd surely enjoy that! :)

BTW. I'm in Cary, NC.

Glad you’re doing good, bro. I’ve also got a wine delivery coming. Strange times like these might need some white wine every now and then. Keep staying well.

Morning check in. Was planning to work on porch project some more today. However after doing a bit of housework my back told me no way.
So maybe some laundry and that will be it for the rest of the day. rain is coming anyway...
Virus wise my extended family and I are doing fine.
Plenty of toilet paper and food.
Sending an older sister in VA some gloves and masks tomorrow though.

I just got a delivery from LB, and the mail guy had no mask or gloves. I didn’t have to sign either, but I’m glad he brought it to my door. But it just is so crazy that he wasn’t wearing a mask. I know the mail men think they’re indestructible but they can put other people at risk handling our packages like that. :wtf:

Sorry for the rant. I’m doing good. Eating more fruits and veggies, taking vitamins and herbs. Nothing else is new here. It doesn’t really feel like Sunday but the weather is beautiful.

Stay safe and healthy, everyone. <3

Good morning!

Happy Birthday @ccrules ! Still counts even if it's late, right?

Happy Anniversary @JuicyLucy ! Enjoy that beach.

It's Mexican day again at my house, tacos and enchiladas courtesy of hubby. I'm the bland tacos, he's the spicy enchiladas. He is a very good cook, lucky me!

Stay safe and healthy

Thanks

We ended up seeing our reflexologist who began seeing people again - she was practically wearing a hazmat suit and it wasn't quite the same, but what are you gonna do?

Still good to see her and get a tune up, even if it was kinda like through a condom LMAO

This means he owes me a beach trip though - in his defense, he stubbed his foot and it ripped most of the nail off his baby toe and didn't want to get into the water with it :(

Glad everyone seems well as we all bumble through this thing - today is tea and maybe yoga with the lady in the yurt across the road - she flaked last week so we'll see

Beautiful pics of your family! <3

Thanks Rhianne! I am a very social person, who loves to make friends and help others. It's what I was born for. I am very socially active in my local community, and also have a lot of local vaping friends. That's the only frustration I have with great online communities like this. The making friends and helping others part is easy. It's the realization that I probably will never to be able to meet most of you face to face that is the hard part for me. I do have some friends at this community, and the other forum that I socialize with outside the forum, and talking to them on the phone at least gives me a voice. Some, I video chat with, which is even better. Some I just private chat with, and sometimes we share pictures. So, I like to put pictures of myself and family up so y'all can see who the guy is that's typing out stuff when he's talking about himself and his family. I know and understand that not everyone is comfortable with doing that, but real people see us every day, and we all have friends and people that we meet and interact with on a daily basis. So, it's no different for me, whether online or in person that people see me, and know what I look like. Just makes it a little more personal. I sure would like to see some of your smiling faces though. :) I know that I will become close with, and grow fond of many of you. It's just inevitable. How could I not with such a great group of people? So I hope no one minds if I put up pictures of me and my family once in awhile. Also, if anyone would ever like to talk on the phone, just start a private conversation with me, and I'll give you my phone number. Thanks all for reading all that, but you're stuck with me now....so just accept it. :p

Life would be so much easier if Star Trek transporters were a real thing. Spock Emoji.png

Ayup...as long as she ain't trying to destroy it, she's good. ;-)

Not much going on today though, just watched an eNascar race and chillin'.

IMG_20200503_113637.jpg

Vape is a GV Lock RDA on my Wismec Sinious. Pretty combo, I think...works well too. :)

Bills all paid, cat is fed and stuff, a nice slow day.
Just waiting on some parts for a re-build of the ancient living room PC I use for TV/streaming stuff, it's about time. That thing I got back in like 2008 and it's still working, but showing it's age.

Check in. My sister has been released from the hospital. They said they needed the bed. My niece is in a regular room but not even close to being released.
DH and I are fine and so are my two boys (male Siamese cats) They're inside cats so I'm not worried about them carrying the virus.
I need to order some groceries but DH wants out of the house so we'll probably go to the store a little later.

Edit to add: I'm not sure where this should go so I'll say it here. My nephew is 16. He's also autistic and has a brain disorder. A large portion of his brain contains dead white matter and as a result is nonverbal. He lives in a inpatient treatment center. My sister just found out he's been assaulted 9 times in the last 2 weeks. He won't defend himself. Were extremely worried about this situation. Please pray for him and my sister that this gets resolved soon. There is no other facility he can go to and he's way too big for my sister to handle. Thank you for listening to my family issues.
