Still alive here. Just read something that I'm hoping is inaccurate and extremist, but also knowing it's likely not. The article said that Theaters (not movie) are publicly saying that they won't be reopening until at bare minimum until September, but privately saying it won't be until 2021. Unemployment benefits as it stands now without more federal or state intervention will run out before even September. I'm too old to find another job (as if there are any to find).

Good morning!

I'm glad to see so many checking in, worry about that damn virus. All is well here, hubby did a food/Rx run yesterday. He's good, mask and gloves, in and out. I get to do the wipe down and put away. If I put it away I know what to tell him when he can't find whatever he's looking for, lol.

Hubby is learning to make those soft plastic baits/lures, look like crawfish and worms and stuff, getting good at it. He left a few of them on the end table last night. Jessie jumped up into his recliner and saw them, and freaked! Inched back up in the chair, peaked over the arm at the bugs. Finally got brave enough to take a swipe at them, freaked again when she knocked one to the floor. She must have spent 20 minutes messing with those things, so much fun to watch!

Stay safe and healthy

Glad you liked it!!

Havent been doing anything special lately, been more or less working with what I can get.

Did a chililte marinated grilled chicken salad for mother's day. It's been so long since we were able to get fresh lettuce that the wife had a craving

Yesterday was Italian sausage and peppers on a hoagie.
Tonight is my grandmas version of german potato salad with a grilled chicken breast sandwich.

Making a trip Saturday to the seafood monger, hope he'll have something good and fresh to.play with. May have to call a friend for some advice depending on what's available.

Checking in - have to go out today; the good news is no new cases on our island in several days and all 75 cases we had have been released from quarantine

Am hoping no one brings it here and we remain free of the virus; we have the most restrictive quarantine rules in the U.S. but the few people who manage to make it over here have a poor track record of honoring it and most of the other islands still have active cases or new ones daily

Did you have someone creep in here and take my picture this morning? Dang Bunny, you are a Sneaky Pete!

Man, so I guess that means shingles are still plaguing you?

You might want to try essential oils of bergamot, tea tree and lavender - a recipe I found looking for natural shingles relief

I know tea tree and lavender saved me the second time I got swarmed by fire ants - nary a bump; the first time was a nightmare for days and was disfigured for almost a month

Good afternoon VU!

So ear was bugging me still... felt like there was something inside my ear... the Neomycin they gave me, helped with the inflammation, but not the plugging of the ear...

So this morning I said fuck it... going to irrigate...must of used nearly a gallon of warm water... was tired of it always closing up...felt as if there was something gooey still stuck up in there...

ANYHOO!

A chunk the size of a pencil eraser and the metal clamp gave birth out of my ear and instant relief... I mean like tears of joy kind of relief.

I've been plagued by Tinnitus since 1997, Cicadas chirping at a different tune and pitch, drowned out by the white noise of the day, but loud and most annoying at night; right ear Tinnitus very minor if present at all now... left ear still ringing away, but its not in Stereo Surround now and that is a fucking win to me.

Oh yeah... family is good, my younger sister laughed at me when I told her my story of ear birthing lol... and the wife was just looking at me thinking I was crazy irrigating as I was...

So with that my fellow vapers... today is a fucking awesome day.

Yes, the shingles are not very nice. I am actually feeling worse now than I did a few days ago. I actually feel like I am sick, feverish and headachy at times, little stabbing pains and creepie-crawlies in various places, and the arm where the lymph nodes are swollen is just PAINFUL. I feel pretty much like that child looks, just want somebody to rub my head and bring me cocoa and a blankie.

Hi, R! Yes, sometimes I add a little chocolate, sometimes a little raspberry. I don't want to get tired of it! Do you use anything with it?

I don’t have it yet, but I was hoping to get it from NR. ECX messed up and told me one order didn’t go through, so I placed another one and they both ended up coming! But NY is having a flavor ban, so having double my amount of flavors is good, I guess. Lol

Glad you and your hubs are doing well. It’s cute hearing about your kitty and the birds outside!

If you open a restaurant, you can have Bunny do the desserts. Then we’ll have a VU contingent come down and swarm the place!

Glad you and Always and the kids are doing good.

Did you mix the EO’s with a carrier oil? I love Tea Tree and Lavender. Really useful to have around the house.

Love to you, Mr. JL and Miss Cleo and the chicks.

Maybe try some raw garlic. It tastes horrible but it’s a good all around “blood cleanser”. I take it whenever I have anything.

Hope you feel better, Nada. Hugs from afar.

I was in a terrible bind and just dumped it on hand direct and rubbed it over everywhere for both oils

I know, I know, you are supposed to use a carrier oil, but I didn't

Have used it since for minor bites and the combo works like a champ

Hi. Those lures your hubby makes, all soft plastics actually, are awesome fish candy.
The most successful I use are red, pink, black and gold, flouro green, orange and pumkinseed. Often I buy white, I know you say he makes them, so I can make them the colour I want by dippng them in a product called Dip n Glo. You can get lots of different colours, it adds UV to them so that the UV light which penetrates deepest in water reflects off them at depth, where otherwise they'd be hard to see they stand out. It comes scented too. Never use it to dip inside, if it splls it'll ruin what it goes on and smell the whole place out. Best to take it with you and dip after you have put the lure on the hook. But its an awesome product for soft plastics.
He may know all that allready but just in case pass it on.

All well here. Not listening to much news now on tv, sick of hearing about how hard it is for sports players not playing and actors singing songs and what they are all doing on YouTube. Our top news stories now are when the football will start and what the players are up to and the "big sacrifices" they have made, such heros, by taking pay cuts.
Whilst real peoples lives are being lost and livelihoods destroyed.

Stay safe and well everyone.

I’ve done that with both lavender and tea tree. When I had a tooth infection, I took TT and rubbed it on the gum. Lavender is so useful, too.

Everyone who has an EO site tells you to use carrier oils. A lot of times I just smell the oils directly or put them in a diffuser straight. I bought a big bottle of lavender for that purpose. It smells great!

Hi. Not fished yet. Will next week. Went for a drive in the bush though yesterday thinking "lets go where we will see nobody for the day". So we go near this small range, right into the bush, saw nobody else for the whole drive in. Perfect! Yeah right. A 4wd comes along the track from the same direction we came, slows down when they see us, then drives off the track and parks just 50 feet apart from us, gets out their detectors and start detecting around the area we stopped in. Seriously couldn't believe what was happening! There was hundreds of square ks that nobody else was in, we were the only other people there and they did that. Lots of thoughts went through my head but I never vocalised any with the misses there. So we moved to another place to have our lunch. No sooner had we finished eating and I see them driving towards us. Im thinking you have gotta be kidding me "this time you dont want to stop, you only get away with it once" :giggle:
They kept driving.
Its a whole world of dumb out there! Sometimes I wonder if I release some kind of stupid person attracting pheromones!? o_O
Time to switch deodorants maybe? :D

Awwww! So cute.

That's kinda what Milly still does but we've negotiated on a No Hurt policy...for the most part. She likes rubba-belly and chin now.
She still kicks, but sans claws usually. She's learning...and I'm learning when to just let shit go with her. :D

I've posted this before, but is a classic look from her. Do not try to pet Milly when In 'fuck up all the things" mode... O_0

IMG_20191226_112405.jpg

She's been very good about not destroying all of the computer parts strewn around the living room ATM.

Good news: the cpu/mobo/ram bundle I'd bought, I tried a minimal out-of-case boot to see if it'd work while waiting on more parts...it did.

On the first try, it booted right to BIOS complaining about no boot device. So I attached a USB3 header pin to the case and stuck in a 16GB USB stick with multi-boot Win7 and Linux. It booted THAT in about 15 seconds. I'm pretty stoked.

It's aliiiive!

Good morning!

Watching Jessie kitty trying to catch a bug on the outside of the screen door. I wish I had the energy she's using, lol.

All is well here. Nothing new, just boring. I'm so glad I have my VU!

Stay safe and healthy
Hi, misswish. Please, watch out for your kitty when she is doing this. I don't know if she's jumping to catch the bugs or not....I hope not. Here's why...
My kitty Squeaky was all excited watching the birdies at the screen door. He was jumping up n down, next thing I knew he hit his head on the door handle and never got up, he died instantly
I would hate and be saddened if the samething were to happen with your kitty.

Kinda in response to this post

Milly's taken to doing this when I go to rub her belly or stuff when she's chillin' on my chair or whatever.
She'll stick out her paws and just sort of push against my hand. Not pushing it away or clawing me, just like..."I'm in control here". happy-kitten-smiley-emoticon.gif

I can't 'like' that post, but I feel ya...lost a lot of cats as a kid to just things that just happened...hunters, prey animals, etc.

I worry about my Milly as she runnnnsss and jumps like a demon around the small and cluttered Apt. and could easily hurt herself...but she seems to know her limits. But, in the end..life happens. Can't control everything.

(( H U G S )).

*nodding* Uh huh, I need to recall her granddad's Raspberry cordial recipe. He didn't even teach his son that trick. Calls me round the side of his house one day, down to his basement. We're looking at a few cheesecloth covered crocks on a counter. He gets a tin ladle and cup, dips me out half a cup of some fine sweet red luscious "juice".

A grin on his face he tells me it might have a bite because it's not stood quite long enough. I sip, get a taste of delight ... then wince just a bit as it does bite. Take a chug, pass what's left to him. He chuckles and takes a sip, nods, chugs. "S'what I thought Barn, give 'er 'nother two days and she be smoother."

He then explained his method to get the cordial. Told me he wasn't sure but figured it was probably about only 40 proof, so only 20%. Still that was enough it had a bite. But that's been quite a few years back he told me how to get it worked up. He had a process of a bit of "cold still" ing it. The main driver to it is gravity.

It was bit after 3 AM before I racked out. Then, I had passed out a few hours at a time a couple times yesterday afternoon. Was mowing some more a few hours yesterday. Spoke to FIL. He is finally getting around to realizing he's feeling bad the way he did before getting stents. So he called for an appointment with the cardio doctor.

He's (FIL) been having an issue of spitting up food too. I'm thinking it's a possibility that's part of his heart issue/s, his body's way of saying "hey dumb ass, check shit out". Though, I couldn't have said it was his heart again. His cardio expressed a bit of concern yet kept the conversation aloof, which is to say the doctor in this case seems to be rather good. Hoping they can get him back up to steam.

He was upset yesterday he could not get out and "do" with me. To which I told him to get his ass in the house, be sure I had a good supper, an RC & Moon Pie. He drinks Diet Dr. Pepper but he and I agree it tastes like RC. We had good sized hamburgers, half pounders. I fussed at my MIL a bit, she was all excited to show me the President's letter. *chuckles* My youngest nephew swears he can forge the signature.

Back up now about 8 AM. Slept a bit fitfully with the Cpap. Got a place in my leg flaring up. I had unceremoniously put a log tie hook into a shin for whatever reason. Truth is a missed a rolling log and the hook glinted off it, bounced right into the leg. Yep, it taught me. I slowed down after that. Her Pawpaw fussed a blue streak, not so much as I'd been so all fired rearing to get done as he didn't want me hurt. Think me and him took turns looking out like that for one another. And both of equally as stubborn to keep working, keep getting it done.

No, I don't miss the intolerable old cuss, not at all. Only every day. So checking in wise, reckon we're still fair to middlin' 'ere. A happy turn last week, our local Chinese place opened back up for at least carry out pickup. We'd all been hankering Chinese for a good month or so now. And yeah we might to fix some store bought but it wasn't the same.
Moon Pie. Only Moon Pie I ever heard of was in the movie The Green Mile, and the mongrel prisoner who ate it spat it in a guards face! Is that the same Moon Pie?

The computer that should have been here Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday, is now allegedly going to appear here today. Got pissed off and called FedEx yesterday. Come to find out Lenovo didn't put in my house number on the shipping tag. CS rep entered that to the shipment record and all should be good. I'll believe it when I get said computer. CS rep was irritated that someone didn't call me to ask the address which irritates me as well. Let the wait begin again...

Otherwise SSDD here.

Good morning ya'll! Hope everyone is happy, healthy, and safe.

Was listening to a song by Dr Hook this morning, that brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. 23 years sober, but I came so close to living the words in this song. So thankful I ended up where I am instead. Sometimes I feel guilty, and wonder why did I deserve to make it out of that life, when so many don't. The tears in my eyes when I hear this song, aren't so much tears of happiness for me, but tears of sorrow for the ones who don't make it out, and die in that world.
