It’s scheduled for September now? Crazy. Right now this country can’t afford to lose all the vape business it was getting.
It was scheduled to happen on May 12 but got delayed until Sept 9 I think it is becuase of the corona virus pandemic.
This was originally scheduled to happen in 2017 I think it was.
so it is not like there has not been any notice.
I have been prepping for it mid 2015.

I know about Deeming, I just thought they had indefinitely postponed it during corona. Not that it stopped Cuomo from pushing through a ban, though.

I’ve been prepping since I started vaping last March. So a little over a year. Gods forbid that the FDA should give us a break now!!

San Diego has permission of the Governor to lead the state in phase 3 reopening.

He also will be allowing much of the state to do the same, but SD first.

Salons, Barber shops, churches, movie theaters, gyms

Way to soon in my opinion, but I get it... people need to work, just a shame many more will die inevitably to a quicker phased opening (opinion)

all fine here.
had to run to the big city to get prescriptions for wife and SIL. then ran to PO at the nearby little town to get money order and mail it off to pay for some Kratom I ordered. Could have gone to PO in big city but it is busier and more corona cases there than in the little town.
I fear paying for ordered vape stuff will be as difficult for paying for ordered Kratom after the now scheduled Sept vape crackdown.
Yea it's a run around to get kratom

Checking in. My sister and my niece are both out of the hospital. They were told to return if they start having symptoms. Great advice (yes I'm being sarcastic)
DH and I are doing ok. It's kinda sad though that now we can leave the house and we have nowhere to go. At least we don't have to go to the hospital!
Stay safe y'all. According to my sister this is one virus you don't want to get.
Glad to hear your sister and niece are out of the hospital, hope they heal soon.

And a happy belated birthday, :stars2::stars2:

Late check in. i was gettin ready to post last night and the power went out, then it started pouring down, had almost 3 inches in less than an hour.
Just got power back around noon and also had water in the basement that put the water heater out, fun day taking it apart and blowing the water out, first time our basement has leaked that bad, usually maybe a little in a couple places around the edge. But it could of been worse, across the river had tornado damage;). Stay safe and well.:)

Quiet as can be here in this house. Hubbs went to son's house to watch after the Bubba Juniors for a while so son can study. Some engineering class he's taking started last night.

I'm just on lunch break, working at home, wondering what I want to eat, if anything. Had super-yum breakfast this morning, thanks to hubbs. Ham & cheese omelet, buttery grits and toast, coffee, big glass of unsweetened tea. He really spoils me with these breakfasts sometimes!

I am beginning to lose track of the days of the week. I'm about to look at my e-mail calendar to find out what day it is. Last night I filled a tank with juice and by this morning had forgotten what I put in it. If I stay in this house much longer, I might forget how to drive! :D

Y'all stay safe!

Good morning VU!

Today is a good day, second day in a row ear is clear lol. *knocks on wood*

Wife is heading to Los Angeles tomorrow to visit her parents, she mentions she is going to take them shopping etc. I told her “treat everyone as if they’re infected, your parents are in their mid 80’s”

I don’t like her parents in the least, hell I spiked their morning creamer with liquid laxative for weeks cause they’re both pieces of shit, (pun) but I love my wife, so I can’t just outright show hate.

This is when they mooched off us for nearly a decade and acted as if they owned our house disrespecting me left and right... so I said to myself... what can I do that won’t kill them, but make it miserable

Family is good, I’m doing great, wife is good.

Be safe everyone!

Hit wrong key, oh well...

I will not be going to LaLa land at all. Boss will find a different project for me. That means I will be flying. I'm ready, the airlines are ready, the hotels are ready, just need customers to be ready.

Watching the pre-show for the SpaceX launch today. First USA manned launch since 2011. You can watch on the NASA channel on TV and YouTube here:
Launch time is scheduled for 4:33 PM EDT

Me, my wife, and critters are fine.

That breakfast sounds yummy. I tasted grits for the first time in Raleigh. I liked them, but I put butter and salt/pepper on them. It was cool to get them in a diner!

Since I haven’t checked in for a while...I’m doing good. Stil SSDD in my neighborhood. But the 7pm honking and screaming for the First Responders is nice. I hear neighbors doing it, too. I just bang a pot or my coffee mug. :yay:

Hope everyone is doing okay. Stay healthy and well, y’all. <3<3

I have mine with butter and salt, oddly enough have never even thought to try them with pepper.

My husband eats them with milk and sugar. Go figure. I'd never heard of that until I met him.

I just googled Grits! Had heard it used in movies and payed no attention to what it was. Up until now I thought it was like hash browns, bubble n squeak. Now see its more like a porridge! Only looked it up when Nad said her husband had it with milk and sugar. Hash browns with milk n sugar!? :giggle:

Yep, get the not knowing what day it is. Nearly every morning I wake up I have to try and guess which one it is.
All good here though, late breakfast then out in the bush for whats left of the day. I slept in :D .....again.... Really gotta get a new routine happening I think.
Glad from what I just read you are all doing ok. Stay that way people.
:)

Happy Birthday to the great Huckleberry!!!!

That honey looks awesome Lucy

Smigo, grits are similar to polenta. If you prep them right, you can use them as a poor.mans polenta but still not quite the same.
I make them using half water and half milk. With alot of butter and stir in some cheeses at the end.
Mt favorite is shrimp and grits with a touch of bacon and/or andouille

Out playing Hillbilly golf this morning. (Weed eating for the unknowing.) Got to a point where I figured the machine was hot. Felt the humidity rise as well. It had been like 60 some % when I went out. Currently it's what it says. So it is becoming human out, not humid but human, you can sweat off another you from the mugginess.

Got a visit too which I'll say wasn't totally unexpected. Got my gear put up, went to her dad's, got permission from the mamma birds having nests on their back porch to come in. Inside I had to get permission from Mamma Luna dog to go see her Mamaw. She escorted me in with a smile so I got her one of the cookies I nabbed up for a quick sugar jolt.

Well, back out to come back up to the house/hovel. walking in the road, happen to be looking ahead. :"hm, hose, pipe," I asked myself knowing full well better. An eight foot long snake was stretched out in the road, looking up at me. I grabbed up some kind of discarded aluminum rod what may have been some kind of sprinkler, was 4 ft long and some kind of "stick".

An older couple come back down the road in a pickup. Mr. Snake lit as though he might like to strike me. I give him just a gentle tap on the side of his head, steered him on off the road out into some weeds and under a trailer.

The fellow leaned out "snake?" I nodded and told him I thought it was either a black snake or a moccasin, but I couldn't be sure which. Its head seemed wedged but not quite a diamond shape. No matter the snake didn't deserve to get squashed because I ran him out of his weeds by weed eating, likely. I'm sure her sister would have lit out and ran three counties away. *chuckles* Me, "aw, hm well let's move you along so I can move along."

I mean shit, we're living rural, there's possum, squirrel, snake/s, rats, mice, foxes, bobcats, pumas, bears, raccoons, wild goats, boar all sorts in the "country". If ya live in the country you ought to 'spect such whiles. They ought nought cause you too much alarm. They just critters like we be critters. Long as they doing no harm, no need to be harming them.

i make exceptions for bee nests though. I like those away from folks, they encroach I'll do what I need to get rid of them around folks. Same with Blue Jay's nesting round people. Sorry but Blue Jays get damned aggressive over nest protection, and it matter none to them you be no harming. So yeah they can fuck off trying to nest around people.

Happy Run Around Nakey Day @Huckleberried !

Also went and looked up the snake. Found out it is an Eastern King snake, a constrictor which eats other snakes, rodents, birds, eggs. It's non-poisonous.

They were a bit blander than I expected, but it was a diner. I just put on salt and pepper since I put some on my eggs, and I would’ve put it on home fries.

It prolly would taste okay with sugar and cream, too. But I can go salty or sweet with oatmeal, and it seems similar.

Had to go to town today to get 60 fruits for a childrens thing at the wifes church and deliver the fruits to church. So I walk in the church feeding hall with 4 big bags filled with nanners, oranges and apples. With mask and gloves on. Was met by 3 women none with masks or gloves on...
Very quickly exited....

Of course was for 3PM so messed up my plans for working on porch.
Have to drag out tools and such then pack up before going to town (cause thieves) then rain drops when got back home.
Hope the little kiddoes have fun safely.
