It's just like the old west here, seen on the news that a lot of business owners are out on their roves with shotguns and rifles:eek::eek:. That will probably leave them no where to loot tonight unless they come across the river, here:blech:

Here is the scoop: allegedly no

The dude had us set them loose in his yard - he likes to rescue and care for farm animals but says he only eats wild meat, mainly pig, lol

After watching a few docs on plant based whole food diet, it kinda made me realize I don’t need meat, dairy or eggs. Although I like eggs and chicken a lot!!

Good morning!

The sun is shining, the breeze feels good. Jessie is all wound up, racing through the house. Hubby did the grocery run, poor guy.
Today is check-ins with all the family, make sure all is well with them. I finally received my final order from Fasttech. Only 2 months, so not bad.
We did have a peaceful protest here. I really hope it stays that way. You guys have my prayers to be safe, this stuff is getting so scary!

Stay safe and healthy

I learned this morning from my son that there has been rioting and unrest in a city about an hour north of us. I did not realize the activity had come so close, but I probably should have known.

We're ok, hubbs is out mowing grass right now, grandsons are still here and they are glued to the TV while I'm working. Right now I'm finishing up my lunch hour and am about to get back to it.

Mostly SSDD here, too. Everyone take care.

Better night across the river, I guess the shooter on the roof style control worked for some, they just hit the ones that didn't have the armed owner on the roof. Only one shooting and 3 stabbings last night:eek:. Just not cool at all.
But on the good side, still safe and well as can be expected.
Everyone stay safe and healthy:)

What a thing to wake up to hearing about for you guys each day! Not good.

Here is the same as in same day as yesterday. They are having protests in our major cities in support of yours over there. No violence and looting though.
Saw on the news one of our reporters and camera guy get hit on by the cops over there at one of your riots. When reporting earlier they got a little abuse verbal from some in the crowd, but hey thats expected at a riot youd imagine. So now to blend in the female reporter dressed down and wore a back pack like many of the protestors there were wearing, she looked just like a rioter. Then freaked when she was treated like one by the cops! :wait:

Im up. Getting ready to take my wife to the hospital for her stomach surgery this morning. She will be there until Friday. She's nervous. Im nervous. It's a relatively safe surgery.

I also messed around on my Robinhood app, traded some stocks. See if I can eventually get rich. Lol.

Best wishes to your wife today. I hope everything goes perfectly for her. Don't you hyperventilate and pass out on the nurses! They'll have enough to do without having to bring you smelling salts. :teehee:

When you figure out how to get rich, come back here and share it with the rest of us, k? I could deal with not having to work.

in other non-news...

iRacing put in the pre-restrictor plate 1987 cars...chaos ensued...idjits going 220+ now into corners at Dega...yeahhhhh!

If memory serves, isn't Talladega the reason for restrictor plates in the first place? Fools will try to drive at the speed of light if you let 'em.

Today, I go see my talk therapy social worker. We've not had any interaction for about three months now, possibly more. The only mental health related medicine I'm on is what is called vistiril. It is there to help with anxiety and panic as needed. Another medicine has been suggested but I'd rather not until the so called experts are willing to put a diagnoses of bipolar on paper.

So far they keep refusing to do that for whatever reasoning. May sound a bit paranoid but I think maybe they avoid it to screw with me. They know without that on paper I'm stuck with a genuine disability yet unable to file it as such, ergo able to get disability payment. I'd rather not get it but if it is the case I'm some kind of "defect" then well, why not accept help that's given?

In any case it's all pretty much the same day to me. I keep having a feeling of being outside time. Everything else goes on and I'm stuck. Doesn't matter really just an odd sensation at times. Wife signed me up for unemployment. She's got it figured that in itself could be used for a down payment. Now, I need to find a nice home. She delivered me a big shock. Said my name was going to be on the deed. It's her home, or so I tried tell her. She rejected that, "no, it's our home."

Thinking I might need a beer soon. Strictly medicinal, feels like I got UTI and I've always flushed those out with a beer. Rum doesn't quite hit it right. Aw well, I'll save rambling on. Y'all run 'er slow. Love & light to all ya. :)

Good morning!

Well, we're looking at hot for the next few weeks - 99* to 104*. Good thing I'm staying in the house, that's out of my comfort range.
Hubby is busy making his lures, just in case he can go fishing this summer. No overnight camping yet.
Jessie is on her table in the window. She loves to monitor the birds, people walking their dogs, bugs on the screen. A few people even wave to her, lol.

Stay safe and healthy

My wife's surgery went good! Took about an hour. Now she is in recovery for an hour or two while she wakes up from the anesthesia. Once she wakes up, I get to see her long enough to give her clothes, phone, ipod and handheld Atari to her. She'll be kept until Friday. No visitors allowed.
Thanks for the well wishes!

Checking in: We're as safe as we can be from the virus. My family is safe. We're also in an area where rioting isn't probable.
Now all we have to worry about is where we'll evacuate to if the hurricane heads our way. We can't go to my parents in Florida. They're 89 and we don't want to drive 11 hours either. Plus my mom is afraid of cats and we aren't leaving our boys alone. Their house in Metairie survived Katrina without flooding so if it heads this way we pack up the cats and drive across the lake.
Good luck to anyone that might be in it's path!

Slow day here, not much to report. :)

Did some dishes, took out the trash, and put up a fly strip since Milly was chasing a big fly all around the Apt at warp speed.
She can jump near 5' straight up so it was a pitched battle...lol! The fly got smart and flew off somewhere.

Also disassembled and washed my new ShenRay Haku Riviera RDTA. It is a lovely little thing.

(the little finger bowl thing is for washing atties in, and the old fine mesh plastic strainer is so tiny parts don't end up down the drain or scratched up.)

For crying out loud, corona, riots and now hurricanes. Talk about stress on steroids!
Hope it blows itself out before it can do any damage.
Stay safe.

Thank you! So do I. If it stays along the Mexican coastline it'll stay small or die out. If it goes into the gulf it'll probably get bigger but we'd have to wait to see where it goes.
I hate to think of the storm hurting anyone but I sure hope it stays in Mexico!
For the record I don't think I can deal with more stress. I'm going to start yelling and getting dangerous soon. :gaah::cuss2::tantrum:

The storms in the Gulf of Mexico are so unpredictable, too. Weather.com is saying that one could actually circle back onto its own path. No telling where it will come ashore.

"Go, go, Godzilla! Go!"

Welcome to 2020 where the only thing missing was Hugh Downs & Barbra Walters announcing the year's start. :)
Loved those old movies. When I was a kid we had Deadly Earnest who had a late night monster movie show which my mum let me stay up to watch on Friday nights.
Creature from the black lagoon, It came from outer space, Birds to name a few. I used to love Friday nights. Deadly Earnest had (the hand you see in the glove) a hand with a mind of its own called Claw. Now and then it would attack him :D
Lame by today's standards but I thought it was awesome!

are hurricanes unusual in june?

i ask, because i see lots of memes and stuff citing our fires in january as a reason that 2020 is all sorts of bizarre. But it happens every year, they were just big this year. Perfectly normal part of aussie summer

It's a little early, but not unheard of. Strong storms are more common in September and October.

Weather turned on a dime and it's actually a bit cold this morning...much better.

Wind is howling off an on though, that drives Milly more nutty than usual...much coffee shall be required.

Glad she perked up your day! Yup, she is a spoiled kitteh for sure. :)
I never married or had kids (thank gods), don't really do anything and not very socialized in general, so a furbaby is about all I can handle. But, she is good for me too.

Had a couple cups of joe and finally made some brekky....

It's an egg with sausage, onion, red jalapeno, and Queso Oaxaca on a toasted cinnamon-rasin bagel. Sweet and savory with some spice. Nomz.
