Interesting and that's a heck of a price but kanger kind of makes me laugh sometimes with their release schedules. This was clearly made for the 25mm subtank so why not plan the releases together? A kit with that box and the subtank would sell like hot cakes lol

I don't like the wattage options. Only seven settings? For example either 13 or 20 watts? I vape my tank at 16.5. Just like almost every other variable mod. There's always at least one major design flaw.

I wonder the same thing... but the way they speak of the "7 variables" ... I'm not thinking it's restricted to just 7 settings... but may be dependent on the atomizer's resistance or something similar...

Say for instance on the Kanger 0.5Ω coil as an example... it's recommended range is 15-30w and the 1.2Ω is 12-25w ... 7 settings/values within those ranges for those resistances wouldn't be as limiting as say 7 settings across the full wattage range of the mod.

Still... I wouldn't be happy with just seven settings/values on a particular resistance... but if that is what they are doing it wouldn't be as restrictive as it sounds first glance.

I believe the reviewers, Busardo especially, will tear this mod apart both literally and figuratively. It just looks cheap but hey, we may be surprised. Love the Subtank tho . . .

However, if I can get this through a group buy for around $20, I'd use it as a dedicated mod for the original Subtank. I've ordered the Subtank Mini and Nano which will be used on my TIER 1 mods.

Very true! I like the price for sure. Not sure if I like the mod though... Still deciding.
Hell at that price what's not to like. I think I may get one just to check out.

Good price point, bad implementation. The lack of a screen might deter some folks. I think this mod is aimed at the vaper who wants to run the sub tank and fill and vape tanks. We'll see. For $20-25 I might pick one up.

Almost like a glorified ego battery..just in a box...As much of a kanger fan as i am i realy dont like the "select a watt" feature like they have it set up...cant be that much more for an lcd screen and normal wattage adjustment..Even at 25 dollars i dont think i would be interested in it.

I agree, I dont need a screen, but maybe something in the way of the e-grip or the like, hell, even a potentiometer would be fine and just let me do the wattage calculations myself 8)

Thanks for posting this Laurel. Like others have mentioned the price is quite low but I think that at $30 you have better options at your disposal. Lack of OLED screen is a big drawback since most people like to monitor their display, ohm readings, battery etc.. The other issue is the obvious wattage limitations giving you 7 "fixed" settings all the way from 8-40 watts. If you ordinarily like to power at a certain level you won't be able to do so unless that option is offered within the seven. The design of this box doesn't impress me. I think that the iStick, IPV Mini or SIgelei Mini would be a far wiser investment to match with the Subtank. KangerTech is a good company and their tanks are excellent. The pen batteries are also very good. They are simply new to the box and tube mod genre. I wasn't impressed with the K-Simar either. That's not taking away anything from the Subtank, Mini or Nano which are in my opinion the best glassomizers on the market. I can see Kanger designing some high quality mods in the future when they have more time to solely focus on them.

Im personally hoping the mvp 3.0 (30 watt) is priced well...should i decide to move up that will be my next choice.

Looks like a nice beginner box. Don't have to bother futzing with voltage or wattage on an LED screen. Slap a tank on it, set it and forget it. Settings are plenty good enough.

I don't like the specks and what not. It's a shame it is sexy a Swedish bikini model with that sub tank on it

That's kind of what I'm thinking too. Seems like Kanger is really aiming at the beginner looking to step up from EGO sticks and tiny tanks. Personally, I think that's great and it should help a lot of people quit the stinkers. It's reasonably priced, you could have a full subtank setup for ~$70 which is what a lot of the crappy starter sets run for, and should get a solid vape on that battery. Yeah, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a $100-200 box mod but for the price, if someone really wants to try out blowing clouds on a subtank, I'd say this is a pretty damn good option.

I need a side button thooooo!

They did give it a makeover note the side button, 510 connection and screen. How it performs remains to be seen as well as how Innokin plans to price it given all the existing competition. I would like to see it priced under $50

Here's a picture of the coming 3.0 and new design.

This has more impressive specs and comes direct from China. Kanger's new Subtank model. Take your pick!

If these things are anywhere near as durable as the 2.0's, I will definitely be picking one up as a glove box backup 8)

There will be a lot of competition in the market so hopefully it will perform well and is priced affordable for those interested. I'm looking forward to the new SMOK M80 Plus and obviously the 50 watt Istick. I think the KBOX has a lot of room for improvement, definitely a pass for me. The MVP will have its fans as well. There's something for everyone these days:)

I don't think you were exaggerating it took Innokin well over a year.

I just received mine and for the price I paid for a Vision Spinner years ago I have a device that can go to 40 watts (of course I already had a battery and charger). This thing is simple, solid and inexpensive. I can see the set wattage's being an issue for some, particularly for higher ohm coils/builds that can't handle the big preset jumps (i.e. 8, 13, 20....etc) but for any tank/atty that can go to 20 watts this is a great carry around device. I have been using it with the 25mm subtank at 25 watts and so far it's great.

Oh and the lack of a screen isn't much of an issue, I use an ohm reader for builds or factory coils that are generally close to the ohms stamped in it.
