Lack of flavor

So I tried this easy recipe but there is basically no flavor
FA apple pie 3%
FA custard 3%
FA Vienna cream 2%

Mixed at 80 VG ratio in 6ml bottle. My thoughts that since the VG ratio is at 80% I may need to add more flavor or reduce ratio. Your thoughts. I did add more apple to no avail ?????

Warmed vg will mix easier.
If the 6ml is a glass bottle I would warm water steep it. If not use a coffee cup with warmed not boiling water.

I found that the higher vg needs time to steep, as it is so thick. I general microwave for 5 to 6 seconds to thin it a bit then shake well and check it. Those %'s look good. But those flavours can be a bit bland. A drop of brown sugar, caramel, banana or a berry might make it pop.

That's big nasty. I failed to state that this is in plastic bottle and I did a quick hot water steep for a,quick test but nothing. Even used magma rda,with no flavor

Also used sane with FA cherry with same. May be just too bland

If it is still coming up short do another steep and shake.
It can on some flavors just take time for them to oxidize.

I find the custards even with a steep just take time to play nice, they are like that fat likable kid that is shy standing on the sidelines.

Hahaha. Yes as great as custards are they do take a bit to play well with others. I will give it another steep bath n see what happens in the morning

FA Apple Pie is very faint in the apple, good pie crust. Adding 0.5% FA cookie will emphasize the crust. FA Custard is a tad lemony. Very good flavor. Brightens up and gives a bit of body to fruits. Vienna Cream at 2% is awesome!

I would use 3% apple instead.
FA apple pie is all pie and no apple.

Yep, what they said...
Those flavors are used mostly for mixers/additives IMO.

I'd add 2% Cookie & 2% Fuji Apple (both FA of course).

Fuji Apple will cover the lack of flavor. I would cut back on the custard to 1% and add 1% Fuji Apple and 0.5% cookie or 0.5% AP to bring out the pie.

My two cents worth.

I must be a flavor freak. I can never taste anything unless there is a lot of flavor. I am usually at 15 - 20% flavor. It doesn't matter how long it's steeped. I use as much as VG as possible and this may be the reason. I usually have to at least double recipes.

Heat the vg slightly it will make it flow easier.
A drop or three of distilled water can also help thin it down for ease of mixing.

This recipe is using FA (Flavor Art) which are very concentrated - that's why the percentages appear so low!

I find a small percentage of fa walnut like .25% -.5% pops the apple in most vapes.

Hey there @Artemis, problem solved. Once I changed the coil in my Atlantis tank, the flavor was present. Its crazy how the coils can go from outstanding to null in a matter of an evening. Have a safe and Vapy day

Yes Indeed. If only they would make a coil that either works or just shuts off when its spent hahahahhaah. In my case it keeps putting out great vapor production but the flavor just disappears oh well, such is a life of a vaper
