My guess is I'll order and try ALL the chili type flavors then wash out my mouth after they all suck a** , then 10 years later, I'll accidentally knock some black pepper flavoring into a pineapple e-juice, try it, and it'll be perfection.

And then I won't be able to recreate it because it'll have been an accident.
That's my guess.

I had a capsicum heat thread a while back. If link for you but I'm on my phone from work. There were strong cautions not to. I bought a bottle about a year or so ago. I've yet to open it. 15,000,000 on the Scoville scale!

Isn't that pure capsaicin?
The genus capsicum refers to several different peppers....including cayenne.
But still, I'd be interested in the link....like I said, don't want to burn my lungs to a crisp. :D

Huckleberried, I just went to Flavor West's site and it does indeed say 15,000,000 heat units or whatever they call it.
That does seem terribly dangerous.
There goes that.
I'm not putting that muck in my lungs.
Why the bejeezus would they sell that to people who are going to vape it?
Good lord.
Thanks for the warning. :)

That would be like vaping pepper spray. Talk about throat hit.

Rob, I told you I would keep you updated. Just got an email with the tracking number, so it shipped the same day I ordered it. Not to bad.

Thanks. That's almost quick enough for me I think. :) With that reassuring info from you, I'll be ordering some things. Appreciate your response.

Mine too. That said, if someone guinea pigs themself and does come up with something, well... who knows, I might try it.

ps. You work too late Huckleberried. :)

What?! A fellow tamarindo/chamoy/Lucas appreciator? :)
I can't tell you how happy I would be if I could actually mimic tamarindo candy. I don't think tamarind is a very sought after flavor though...don't think we'll be seeing FA producing it anytime soon. :(
They just don't know what they're missing.

So if you know tamarindo candy and chamoy, then you probably know what I'm going for with the fruit/chili thing right? Like Lucas powder?
Have you ever tried to make it?

I'm finally home from work, so if you still need that link @ouzel, here ya go!

http://vapingunderground.com/threads/capsicum-heat.34178/

Thanks Huckleberried :)
I'm so sad.
And a bit confused.
I read through it and another long thread on ecf and while some said it was a bad idea, others said it was not that strong and they'd been using it for over a year.
It's hard to tell if the ones saying it's a bad idea are just fear mongers who've been fed bad information - and we all know there's a lot of fear mongering when it comes to vaping - or if used very sparingly, there's no harm in it - just like people who are against vaping who say "Just one drop of this ejuice on your child and he/she can end up in the emergency room fighting for their lives!!!!" and they don't realize no one is vaping 100mg nicotine juice.
Sigh.
I just want a chili/fruit eliquid!!!!
:D

I don't think I've ever had one of those. ???!!! I looked them up and they sound sorta like the mango/chili lollipop I was talking about.
If so, I agree with you. MMMMMMMMMMMM! Tropical fruit + hot spice = delicious.

Absolutely a fellow chili candy lover. If we could somehow make a tajin flavor, we could make so many candies...watermelon, mango, etc. I haven't made anything similar, but it's been a thought that's gone nowhere.

My initial thought wasn't to focus on the heat since that could be replicated easily. I feel like finding an accurate chili flavor would be the most important. I also wonder if there's any way to get a salt flavor that doesn't contain salt.

@ouzel - are you in CA?

No, I'm in Texas :) of course...I don't think many people in, say, Idaho, would know what tamarindo is.
But they will!
As soon as we perfect the tamarindo vape.
They'll come around.
:)
I take it you're in CA?
So those cachetados (ha, slaps) must be a california thing then?

Lol. They're easy to find in Mex, but only a few stores here carry them. The name is appropriate. =)

Nice, strong fruit and chili flavor without the sandy-ness of chili powder. It's how I imagine a vape of tajin with fruit.

Can't think of Big Gulp without Sarah Palin. Yuck

Oh, no! Not another almond recipe? Yes.

A question to ponder: Why to people In Butte County, California love their almond orchards? Hint: it has just a little to do with money.

To the recipe.

Cinnamon Roasted Almonds

7% TFA Toasted Almond
3% FA Cinnamon Ceylon
1% FA Zen Garden
1% FA Meringue
1% FA Marzipan
0.5% FA Marshmallow

Again this is a food recipe adapted to vaping. You can find it here. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/cinnamon-roasted-almonds/ if you're interested.

Notes:

The toasted almond I tried at lesser percentages and it did not work. That could just be me.

Cinnamon Ceylon is a lot nicer on the palate than other "red hot" types. Don't be afraid of it. As far as being a tank cracker? I don't know and haven't tried it in a plastic tank.

Zen Garden is important here as it adds a spicy and saltyish taste to the Cinnamon. This might be my imagination, but I upped the amount and it got saltier.

The meringue, marzipan, and marshmallow glue everything together and add a touch of sweetness that mimics those flavored almonds in a can.

Shake and vape. It's good. Earlier batches don't seem to change much with time.

About 20 years ago the rice farmers around here started replacing their rice fields with almond orchards. A large investment but a higher cash yield. It must have paid off, because most of the rice is gone. So why should us locals care? It's not the jobs. It's not lack of mosquitoes. It's not even the wonderful smell of almond blossoms in the late winter (they are blooming now).

It's the tule fog all winter. It's gone! The locals here are convinced that the fog that plagued us, sometimes for a month at a time, was caused by standing water in the rice fields. Whether this is true or not, I don't know, but I believe it.

That tule fog is nuts. Went to UC Davis many moons ago and driving through it...freaky.

It sure is. It's been gone now for ten years. Sometimes a whisp of it will blow up from the rice fields near Yuba City, but it burns off fast.

Frito, let me know how your order with them goes please. I like using Bull City but their stock is low and Pure Vapes shipping is too slow for me. I'm looking at options :)
E liquid mart is good for me. They have caps and fa...nothing ever seems to be out of stock and shipping is reasonable & quick. I've ordered from them a couple of times. They have 5 ml. Samples for $1.69 and 10ml. For $2.99. Wllmc is getting his fa line together at his mama j`s site....is nice if you want to try small samples of 3ml. For $1.50 or 5 ml. For $2. He gives free shipping over $20 so depending on your needs & wants you may save more buying from him due to the free shipping. Personally I'm going to order from Wllmc now for my smaller samples, but I've had good experience with e liquidmart.

Thanks Daintanee. I'm going to order from eliquidmart and Wllmc both. Can't have too many decent suppliers these days. I have some stuff enroute from BCV but they were still out of many flavors I use.

Yes bull city and ecig express are constantly out of flavors. It's frustrating. I just pm d Wllmc and told him what I wanted and he's awaiting another shipment so I can wait and get it all at once, that's nice. Yes I'll get my 10 ml. From eliquidmart, but I'll pm Wllmc first to see if he wants to sell those amounts & what price.

I swear I went to Wllmc's site a day or two ago and didn't see the FA flavors, or did I just miss them. Well, if a forum member is going to open a shop I'll have to start ordering what I can from him.
