Hehehehehe, My wife is Korean-American. She makes 20 quarts of Kimchi every year once the garden cabbage is ready. Chases out everyone in the house including the dog and our pet Mink Orson. I bought an industrial floor fan to vent the smell out of the kitchen, blew it out the window...

I actually stumbled upon that big thread you were in when I was researching something yesterday. You're right, WillyZ was being a dick and everyone was ganging up on you. I guess they assimilated my old friend WillyZ.
This forum seems like a cool place. I was on another forum, but they allowed veteran members to insult anyone who didn't share their opinions, then chastised anyone who responded in kind. Then, told the insultees to 'report' the insults, but chastised anyone who reported!

Thank you for mentioning that. I also found Willy to be ok at first and I don't believe we ever had any words but he would often pile on with the others there over nothing just to stir the pot.
The small clique there would often follow me from post to post and thread to thread and argue about anything they could come up with. Didn't matter if it was even relevant or not, it was just a provocation tactic. Their was goal was to rile me up, get me to break the rules and have me banned. if you read carefully you will notice I never once insulted anyone or called names.
That's exactly what ecf does.

yeah i was the victim of that passive aggressive shit too. they would say things that weren't on the surface breaking any rules but they knew they were just being personal and baiting me. it was like a game to them. one time after i got the sin bin, i logged out and went back in there to see what was going on and they were all celebrating that i got the ban as if it was some kind of victory.
I was forwarded a PM by a member there before the ban. The clique was PMing and encouraging each other to harass me, Hazy, and Steve to get us banned. Robino and Classwife were included in the PM I saw. This little band of assholes would taunt, insult, and constantly poke at me. All their little games were overlooked but as soon as I would respond to an insult Robino would jump all over me, warn me, or delete my posts.

When I first joined there it said something like "honest reviews". So I wrote an "honest review" of a Mount Baker purchase I had made. Big mistake. They let the review slide, but then any time after that I even mentioned Mount Baker the fanboys would gang up on me and call me a troll. Then I started getting warnings and infractions and even a ban or two over it. Uno Mas was joining in with the MB fanboys and working with them against me. I finally realized I had no way of fighting it since they had a mod on their side so after an exchange with Uno Mas I was sort of coaxed into promising not to ever mention Mount Baker again and that's what I agreed to do. This seemed all the weirder to me since for the life of me I couldn't find Mount Baker on their list of approved vendors.

That was one of the problems over there. They never let anything work itself out. They would close a thread right in the middle of an argument so that it would just start up again somewhere else. Things have a way of hashing out if you let them. If you don't, bitterness just lingers on unresolved.

Here's another whacko ECF story (there are so many of them). I was going to be part of a small book fair at the library here in Chicago. I had just come out with my fiction book. I posted something on ECF that if anyone happens to be at the book fair (that was so not likely to happen anyway) and came up and mentioned ECF I'd give them a discount on the book. My post gets deleted and I get a stern warning from a mod never to do that again. Lol. WTF?? Pay full price then for all I care, assholes.
