Welcome to my life.
For years I worked and raised my family. I lost my job 5 years ago over an FMLA issue and have not had a job since. It is hard going from 45K a year to unemployment to welfare. It wears on my pride. I have always supported myself and my family. I never got child support. It is a whole different world.

Yes, I can empathize to some degree. I was fortunate that I'm a firm believer in being overinsured so I bought up my company's disability insurance policy to protect 66% of my salary, which was as much as they allowed, but it is very difficult to lose a huge chunk of ones income and still try to pay the bills, especially with about 10k of medical debt at the time which has more than doubled since.

I received several bonuses during the year so actually lost 40% of my average annual income vs the 33% because of losing the bonuses.

I ended up cashing out my 401k which had been decimated by the market collapse already and was able to pay off enough bills to survive, but as of completing our taxes yesterday because of not paying state taxes for a couple of years we also have about 8k worth outstanding :(

So on top of the bills we still had after paying off what we could, including medical bills we still owe 20k just in taxes and medical bills.

Any wonder why so many people have to file for Bk due to medical issues and bills every year...

Sure wish the powers that be would fix the notifications. I have to hunt down all the threads I've been missing out on. I will sure try to be here more often, missing all the fun!

I don't bother with notifications anymore. It's actually a bit of a game now to see how high I can get them before something causes them to clear. Current record is in the neighborhood of 2300 :D

Just click the link for watched threads in the bar at the top of the page and you'll all the threads you are watching that have had updates you have not read.

@VapeOn86 You do realize that you are making me stay up past my bed time right! That's like midnight here in Germany. LOL don't mind me I been up since 5:30 am local 11:30 pm your time or earlier I can't remember if you are EST or CST. anyway I guess I will try and stay up for release so i can get ahold of some before you sell out. i think you may sell out just due to us on the forum buy it.

Ok, just wanted to take a moment to let y'all know we're be going under maintenance from about 4pm to 6pm today so we can get the new site up. This site has been months in the making and, hopefully, it will be easier to use and far less glitchy. Please bear with us.
