New Law for Online Juice Vendors!

I am proposing a new unwritten law that all juice vendors must shut down their website (or at least stop taking our orders and money) once they have gone over 1 week lead time on shipments. I do not think it is fair to take our money IMMEDIATELY upon clicking the "Submit Order" button and then making us wait over a week to ship out our order. This law should be shoved down their greedy throats until they get the message.

I guess I am just venting because I had an old juice vendor that I loved that screwed me (MsTsBakery) by never even shipping my last order from June of 2014. Now I have an order from Dr. Crimmy from the 24th of last month that has not even made it to "shipping label" status yet. I used to not mind waiting for my juice, but after getting screwed by MsTsBakery I have lost all my patience. If they need extra time to make my juice I have NO PROBLEM with that as long as the website STOPS TAKING orders until they are caught up. Quit taking peoples money until you are caught up to a MAXIMUM of 1 week lead time. I know this does not pertain to most vendors as most have good policies in place to assure speedy order completion. I also know sometimes there are unforeseen problems that arise with nature (ice storms, snow storms, torandos, etc.) and if a vendor has one of these unforeseen problems simply shut down your site. Replace your main page with a new page explaining what happened to put you behind on orders and let everyone know once your caught up the site will be back up as well. If you are over a week behind on orders (meaning you already took a large sum of money from people), chances are shutting down the site for a little while to get caught up is not going to hurt your bottom line.

Sincerely,
Chainvapor :)

I am aware of MsTsBakery. I do not order from her anymore, but I was more pointing this post toward Dr. Crimmy. Looks like they are slipping into Longer lead times because of getting too far behind on orders. They need to SHUT down their website until they get caught up so people do not have to wait so long to get their juice.

If they charged like "newegg" does and did not take your money until shipping your product then I would be ok with a little longer wait time (like 2-3 weeks at most) but when you IMMEDIATELY take someone's money, you should probably not make them wait longer than a week to ship their product.

There are pros and cons to that idea.

It is good that you wont feel ripped off (especially if you have all that time to cancel) if the payment isn't made until they are ready to fulfill the order.
-but-
It would be a nightmare for anybody on any type of a budget. Place an order, forget about the order when paying bills (pretty easy, out of sight, out of mind) and 3 weeks later you get the charge after sending checks to pay your car insurance, electric bill, and rent. Something bounces and the bank charged additional fees.

Actually, if you are on a budget, you already accounted for that money as being spent anyway, so that argument is moot. On the other hand, if you are a person who uses your ATM balance to check how much money you have (even when you just sent out 5 checks that have not cleared yet) then it might be a problem (Had a friend who used to do this). Then again, poor money management is a problem all on it's own.

All I really want is for these new juice vendors to understand their limits, work within them, not just for the customer service aspect of it, but also for their sanity. I cannot imagine the stress of having 8000 bottles of juice to fill, meanwhile 1000 more orders a day are piling in. Take CONTROL of your business, do not let it control you. That is why I am suggesting shutting down the site until caught up.

Also, another awesome idea would be to put a quota on your website shopping cart. In other words, if you know you can fill 1000 bottles a day, and you only want to work a 5 day week, than only take orders for 5000 bottles, then have your website shopping cart automatically close until the week starts over and resets it. The reset date could be whatever day of the week you choose. If you hire another employee and now can fill 1200 bottles a day, simply change your quota from 5000 bottles to 6000 bottles. This is not rocket science. Vape dudes did this for awhile and it worked out great. Customers will get into the habit of ordering when the site resets and little by little they can grow AT THEIR OWN SPEED. Everyone wins, including the vendor!

No Kidding. The fact that her site is up and taking orders, but she is not shipping them is flat out fraud.

Yeah, if this were any other industry, she would have already been sued to the stone ages. But as vapers, we are petrified to rock the boat because we already know the government is just looking for an excuse to get their greedy little hands on everything. I honestly believe that is why her site is still open. No one wants to be the one responsible for "ejuice maker scandal" all over the news.

Ok i can understand but thats still no excuse. This is a business, people paid with there hard earned money for your product prior to even getting it. Its not like your card gets charged the day its on your door step. I was really relying on that juice , I have already spent more money on expensive retail shop juice just to get me by then what I paid for there juice to begin with. So lets see , Im already totaling almost 70.00 including the 38.00 Dr. Crimmy order and its been almost 2 weeks. 70.00 ??? If i new all this would happen I would of never bought from them in the first place regardless how good it is. That 70 dollars literally would of had gotten me everything id need to start my own DIY juice which would of been enough vg/pg and flavoring to last me possibly 6 months. Plus there is no effort what so ever for customer service , I mean they pretty much tell you don't even waste your time even trying on the site lol . If your that backed up I think its time to hire someone to do customer service end of story. Not to mention this is a online company where trust is one of the most important aspects people look for when buying online. Im just tired of excuses for these guys . If it were my company and people paid for my product id work 15 hrs a day if i had to plus weekends to ensure my customers don't have to suffer for my own issues. Now I'm even more worried cuz theres like 8 inches of snow coming down as we speak. I can't wait for more bad weather excuses , that really has nothing to do with them any way !!! unless it was a 2ft blizzard then yeah u can't make it to work for a few days , but even in the 6-12 range typically after 24 hours u can manage to drive again. Ive worked for some shitty companies and they don't give a shit about the roads, they expect u there no matter what. Plus i don't get this whole made to order thing anyway . i think its kinda pointless and makes everyones lives more difficult. In my opinion scrap all that non sense and just make large batches . It would speed time and energy up and help with maintaining flavor consistency . They could keep the DIY flavors but those who want that would have to be the ones to expect a longer wait. But all popular signature flavors should be made prior. And that whole extra flavor shot thing to me is such a gimmick , who wouldn't want more flavor ? seriously ? and the fact they even do that puts u in a position where your thinking well is it going to be bland if i don't get it ? And don't even get me started on steeping , thats the dumbest shit i ever heard and can't stand it for any juice for that matter . When i buy juice or any product ever I want to use it whenever choose to. You don't go into a liquor store and buy a bottle of whisky only to go home and dump it into a oak barrel. E juice isn't even anywhere near that complexity and the reason behind aging. There are extremely effective ways and techniques to speed up that process for e juice. And again even if they preferred to do the old school method, if they just made batches juice would be mixed and blended steeped ready to go the day a order even comes in. No one should have to steep any juice from a manufacturer , thats the whole point of buying it in the first place especiallyyyyy for those prices , I'm paying you to do all the work and have that shit pristine the day i buy it , i mean am i making sense here ? 7-10 business days ? why don't they just say 2 WEEKS , today is day 9 ( "business days " ) for me, still with not even a tracking number , In my life experience 98 % of time when a company gives time frames its usually just a fail safe , i always end up getting whatever it is way before or at least at there minimum wait time, Im one day away from exceeding the MAX number that they even applied ( which is bullshit to begin with ) It piss's me off when people lie let alone someone who has had my MONEYYY for two weeks now ( must be nice to get interest free money ). They should have clearly on the main page in bold " MAY TAKE UP TO 3 - 4 WEEKS BEFORE RECEIVING ORDER " but you know why they don't ? CUZ NO ONE WOULD BUY FROM THEM aka shady aka poor business practices , I think I'm just so frustrated with these guys cuz IF the juice is as good as people make it out to be they have so much potential to be HUGEEEE and really put pressure on other companies to compete which is freaking awesome for me the consumer ! But god dam are they f ing it up , I should just call him an purpose a business plan for him lol

I get what ur saying I really do and I honestly never bitch about stuff like this cuz ur right shit happens, I probably know that better then anyone else lol . BUT i guess my main argument comes down to putting in a better effort to communicate when shit happens. I don't think thats a unreasonable request to ask from any company. That small easily missed update about 7-10 days to me is not showing a good effort. And your right your not going to find a better deal but i didn't name my own price either they set there own prices (hence why they got my business) . Those prices tho don't mean shit if they are not backed up by customer satisfaction. Don't set those prices if u can't handle it . Your also right i didn't have to buy from them, but i went ahead and did them a favor in giving them my business ( They still are making money ) . The customer is what keeps them in business, should be # 1 priority , If people didn't choose to buy from them they wouldn't exist. Cuz guess what someone else could easily come around with the same quality same prices with amazing customer service and that alone could cause them to go under. I guess what I'm saying is prices are not everything or a good crutch to use for shitty service. This is just my opinion others may agree or disagree but me personally these are the things i look for when doing business with anyone.

I posted these in another forum and i didn't feel like typing all that again lol but i think me and you actually share similar views on things

juicemafia.com has a monthly sale 2 50ml's for $25.00 and free shipping over $30.00

You can buy 3 50ml's of eliquid for $37.50 shipped.

That is 150ml of eliquid for $37.50

They always have got it to me in less than a week.

Just how inexpensive is this Dr. Crimmy eliquid?

Has anyone thought of petitioning this vendor or calling them out on several media outlets?

Running a business is difficult, which is my most never even try it at all, and over half of new businesses fail in their first year. The e-liquid industry is almost a joke. What does it really take to become an e-liquid vendor? A few hundred bucks? The supplies are cheap. Getting a website up is cheap. A lot of them aren't even a valid registered business.

If you're moderately successful at marketing and people actually find you in the vast sea of the other 50,000 e-liquid vendors out there, then it's easy to see why so many of these guys totally suck at filling orders. They're not prepared for it. They think opening a free Facebook page makes them a business.

Well said. It seems a new vendor pops up on VU every day saying they have the best premium liquid around blah blah.. and then I go to their website and it looks like a child who is also color blind put it together in 2 min... you can tell a lot about a business just by their website.. if they are not spending time to even get that piece made correctly - how much time are they spending on crafting your juice?

I REALLY like Chainvapor's suggestion about a quota on the ordering page. I am going to suggest that to some of the vendors who get into backlog due to being single moms, hammered by unscrupulous vendors, screwed by USPS, laid up in hospital when a one/two person operation etc. I personally like very small business and support it wholeheartedly, and CV's idea (or anyway, his post) is a great one!

I blame the consumers more than the vendors. People are greedy. It's just human nature. Tell any businessman that he has to limit the amount of money that he makes and you'll be laughed at. Capitalism in itself is a good thing.

People need to do a better job of vetting vendors. If they just formed Mike & Sara Enterprises last month with no LLC, have a website that uses clip art from the 1990's, and generally look like they have no idea what the hell they're doing, then odds are, they probably don't.

How many vendors have I seen on here in a few short months who gained some popularity, either by sponsoring on Mod Envy, pimped a coupon code, or some other marketing deal to gain attention, and then they're overwhelmed with orders and customers are bitching. Either they're not meeting demand or some contest didn't get his winning because the vendor was too busy "filling paid orders". It's nothing more than poor business acumen. Take a community college course for crying out loud.

I totally agree with this.

A win should go right in line with paying customers.

If i win a bottle of eliquid at 8:00 pm then my order should go right between the 7:45 and 8:15 paying customer orders.

The "win" is basically payment for advertising.

Also, If I win an eliquid and i already figured out that i like it then the chances of me buying more depends 100% on shipping (well packaged, on time, etc...)

Hey, here's an idea. Why don't they just make batches (it can be small batches) and inventory their stock? When they're sold out of a certain flavor, they can just put, "sold out," on the product page until they make another batch. They can keep the batch frozen to preserve it. It's a win-win.

I quoted myself because I pretty much already answered this. Nobody wants to rock the boat. We have too many media outlets just dying to pounce on the first bad news on ecigs they can get a hold of. Do not need to feed them.

UPDATE ** so I finally got my order from Dr. Crimmy . So i purchased it 2/24 and it arrived on my door step 3/11. My order was 1 120ml bottle of SOD ( strawberry overdose ) with extra strawberry . Its was accurate , 6 mg mic 80/20 blend. no leaks good packaging. Now as far as the juice ....

To be fair Im actually not a huge fan of custard flavored juice. To me they all seem to have an odd after taste / exhale ( the smell and taste reminds me of a dirty hippy or a head shop for some reason). Ive tried many custards including mothers milk which I actually can't stand personally( mothers milk has a cake batter aroma vs Crimmy with more of a butterscotch aroma ). I went with the SOD flavor based off the reviews it received. I was willing to try and was curious to see if Crimmys custard would be any different. So as far as custard goes this is the best custard I've personally had. It still has a little bit of that custardy flavor going on that I don't like but I know thats just me and my personal taste. The fact that someone who hates custard like me can still vape it is impressive. The vapor production is spot on as well, to give you an example I took a few puffs went upstairs to take a shower and when I came back down to my room and I could still see vaper lingering around. Now its still steeping as we speak but my only issue would be the lack of strawberry. I get more custard then the strawberry but I'm hoping with some more steep time the strawberry will come out some more. Its interesting cuz when i smell it , i can definitely smell the strawberry very well it just doesn't come out as strong when vaped. So to anyone out there that loves custard flavors I highly recommend trying Dr. Crimmys Over dose line which is a bunch of custard flavors. Hopefully they won't be so behind when you order, if you took away the wait time Id be very impressed with my over all experience , and i did email them after 5 business days and my email was responded to so they did at least respond and I appreciate that as well.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I am a brand new member and need to ask for advice on what my options are in dealing with an order from Dr. Crimmy. I placed my order on 8/7 for 2 bottles - (1) 125ml SOD and (1) 60 ml OD - and I got the bottle of SOD on 8/12. The other bottle was missing and I have sent 3 e-mails so far and received no response. This is only my second order with the site so is it standard procedure for them to short orders and not respond or do I have to worry I got ripped off? Thanks for any help and mods sorry if this is not the right place feel free to move

This is not common. Crimmy's usually has good customer service. Try joining their Facebook group. You might get answers there.

Thanks man, I hate facebook but I have an account and will do that. I spent a bunch of money with them (to me) over the course of a few weeks, I did a ton of research and did not think I would get scammed or anything so I am quite surprised and disappointed. Thanks for responding to me
