I just got my tugboat order in. I unpackaged it and unfortunately the tugger was in a plastic ziploc with bubble wrap around it? I mean why would an expensive authentic be in such shoddy packaging. I'm a vapordna regular and this chaps my ass.

While I understand the expectation for an elaborate packaging/gift box, that mod is at a great price point, and maybe some of that is derived from them saving money on elaborate packaging? My authentic Vanilla was in Saran Wrap, and bubble wrap. I knew that would be the case, from others who had them, and it's a lower price point mod. Again, no gift box might be a part of that. I'd rather pay less than have a gift box. I'm not gonna deny that there are stacks of atty and mod boxes in my vape corner, though. I'm a sucker for presentation, too, so I get it.

Yeah I mean the price point isn't bad but compared to let's say a doge or a mutation x at 35 both in boxes seems kinda lame that they didn't just include the packaging it came in. Presentation is everything in a customer service type job.

China is usually the one to give you the fancy gift box. VaporDNA doesnt make it, they just get it from the manufacturer. Many times American made stuff come in egg cartons to the shop owner (no im not kidding).

For sure, I have 3 authentic Mutation X's, 1 v2, 2 Project Sub Ohm V3's. They came with boxes and manuals, but they are China made, just American designed... Kinda like Apple products, lol. Don't know why buy a Mutation clone when they're so cheap. Anyway, I think Joe hit the nail on the head. Some Authentic's just don't have elaborate packaging. Vendors aren't gonna ship with more than the item arrives in, or then you'd definitely pay a premium.

We expect it from what we get with clones, ironically. Again, I see it as any dollar saved in production has at least a possibility to save the consumer a dollar in purchasing. I do know that had I not known about the Vanilla prior to ordering it, being Saran Wrap and bubble wrap, with scotch tape on it with the serial # I would've been concerned about it's authenticity. It came in good shape, pretty much flawless, so I was pleased.

I keep all my boxes, not just for the spare parts, a bit of hoarding. The one box I do love is my FuHattan, it's funny as shit.

How is that new mod btw? They look nice, I've never tried a Tugboat atty, but I've heard good things.

Haha. I think if I got the Tugger directly from flawless is would have been in a sexy box but when vapordna probably buys them at wholesale its just how it is. It doesn't affect how sexy the RDA looks on my infected and ooo such warm dense flavor and amazing vapor production.

If you buy an authentic, and spend that kind of money on it...it better have proper packaging, and SPARES galore. 90 bucks for an authentic should be a better experience overall than a clone. I wouldn't expect a 10 dollar box, but come on... a freaking ZIP LOCK? Sheesh.

I'm fine with the no elaborate box scenario, but I'd be pissed if a $30 atty came loose, in a ziplock. If it were bubble wrapped first, no problem, but that looks like scratches galore being invited.

Yeah, like I said, my Vanilla came in Saran Wrap and bubble wrap, but, it was well packaged securely in such a way that it wouldn't scratch etc... That was fine with me. If it came in parts in a bag, I'd have been pissed.

I suppose that's all that matters. It's gonna get scratched eventually, but I know I like them to be my scratches. Glad it was in good shape.

I like VaporDNA, they've been good to me. Also, I like that they carry most of the new authentic Chinese attys. I'm not against clones, but if I can get an authentic at a price that makes sense, which is also a nice piece, that's what I'll do.

There are so many new RDAS out that are designed in the US, made in China. I think it's a trend that's only gonna continue to get more common. China seems to be stepping up their game. It's about time and not surprising. After years of manufacturing clones, they damn well know what we want, and how to make it. I still lol at the clones of the Mutation, $10 more and you have the authentic. Seems like an easy decision to me.

Yeah I agree. Vapordna has been solid for me. They get it in the mail quick, and they have tons of stock. The premium juices are awesome too.

Buying an affordable authentic like a doge or mutation x should be a no brainer vs buying a clone of one of those. I have no problem buying outside the us as long as its authentic. I've been burned on too many clones so I stick to authentic. No problem with anyone who buys clones or anything its just a manner of personal preference.

I hear great things about Vapor DNA, but this is not good in my opinion. If they must do it, they should have it bubble wrapped to the max. They should also say it on their SITE, BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR PURCHASE.

My Derringer came in a ziplock bag with a tool and an extra screw haha. It was a very anticlimactic moment. My Dotmod on the other hand.....

Arrived in a fancy little glass jar with a straw bottom and a cork on top. It was really nice to see a manufacturer take the extra little step. Hell-even my $25 Mutation X v2/3 came in a shiny foam box! I join you in saying that its a bummer when you get all excited for a new piece of equipment and it arrives in no packaging at all. Especially when most atomizers are above the $70 range-they could at least put it in a cardboard box with the atty's name on it. Even my $10 spool of vapowire comes that way......
