What is the best ohms law engine to use?

I currently use the steam engine ohms app, but I am confused when I tick from single coil to dual coil. Below the drop down menu it says: "In a multi-coil setup, all coils must be identical. Two coils in parallel. Total resistance is halved (1/2 R)." What exactly does that mean in regards to my build? Does that mean if it says 14 wraps that I would need to do 7 wraps for each coil? This may sound noobish but I'm just curious...thanks in advance to the person who replies to this :)

ok so if you have a 7 wrap 1.5 ohm coil the second coil in the atty will also be 1.5 ohm stand alone but in the series it would half the resistance bringing the total resistance to .75 ohm instead of 3 ohm.
That 14 wrap would be 3 ohm same diameter and wire... so a second coil that size would half the resistance to 1.5 ohm if wired correctly.

so if my 26ga 3mm single coil at 8 wraps is .60... the second halves that to .30.
(just an example.)

add resistance of both coils together, multiply by .5

yes, when you parallel the coils...imagine electricity like water, the splitting is like a Y in a waterhose, part of the flow runs thru one side, part thru the other thus dividing the restriction (the resistance) to the flow of the water (current), voltage is the water pressure pushing the water

Aside from the great info above, it never hurts to write down or just remember these two simple relationships:

A (amps) = V (volts) / R (ohms)

P (power/watts) = V x A

They're both easy to remember and plenty useful, the first being especially handy when determining what batteries can be run with different builds

Ok well I have an ipv3 150. I have gplat haywire 20 g, gplat 22 g, and gplat 24 g. I wrap with 3mm. I do sub ohm I like lower resitances. .1x and .2x respectively. Now for each of those above in this comments. What wraps should I do for that kind of resistance? I short every once in a while and have been trying to hone that more properly....what kind of guidelines with those gauges should I follow for good cloud production and taste of course....and thank you both for the great info. Unfortunately I'm not a good mathematician or statistician. Just a help from a noob perspective if you will....I always had my vape shop guys rig me up, but decided to do this on my own recently......so any help or a guideline would be great.....ie...sub-ohming for dummies? Lol
