Hello, for all the aspire atlantis users, how often do you change your coil? I have been using my first coil for about 4 days now, I vape about 5 - 6 ml a day

For me it depends on my juice. I have never had a coil go bad, but depending on how much gunk my juice leaves behind, 7 days to 3 weeks at 10-15 ml a day.

My first one lasted about 2 and a half weeks, I'm still on the second one though but it doesn't get much use at the moment

I've had them go three weeks... But that was on an ipv mini with light covert vaping at work and some vaping driving... Maybe four or five pulls every two or three hours.

If I use heavy VG with creamy stuff- I notice life span is shortened. In my ipv3, chain vaping on weekends sometimes they will last a week... Once the juice flavor gets an aftertaste- I dump it before I get the infamous chunks of toasted shit in my mouth.

I switched to the arctic lately and I notice those last longer- but those coils have a break in period to get the flavor right...

How long is the break in on a new Atlantis .5 ohm cotton coil before the flavor kicks in usually? I just installed a new coil and noticed the flavor isn't there yet

I vape mine at 41w..sweet spot seems to be around 40-45w vaping VG max.. Just installed a new cotton coil and waiting for the flavor to kick in...30w and lower I get spit back and raw juice in my mouth
The 7ml extension tank from A mod helps with not having to refill so often..
All in all the Atlantis is a good tank but I like my Artic a little better..

15 to 25w on a .2 ohm coil? Wow..
I vape mine at a 60w minimum, otherwise I get spit back, gurgle and raw juice in my mouth.... Current sweet spot is 65w with VG max juice...vaped a half a tank so far and still waiting for the flavor to kick in...good clouds tho, vapin Cinne Gram Custard, VG max...hope flavor improves like when I drip ...its good juice!

I do 75/25. Max vg juice. I found if you spin the tank back a forth a couple times like you do to take it off to fill then it soaks into the coil easier at least for me

I screwed up on my posted pics..on the silver IPV3 I have the Atlantis that this thread is about...but on the black IPV3 I have the Arctic, got my mods mixed up..lol
I guess that can happen vaping them at the same time while trying to take a decent picture to post..my bad! :(

alrighty, probably a stupid question, but how do you know when you need to change it? can you tell by the taste?
I have an Aspire Nautilus Mini.

*runs away feeling silly ...

I generally change out my coils when they start to loose vapor production and flavor...can't say about the Nautilus but my Atlantis coils last about 5 weeks before I need to swap them out..

I vape at 25w. And max vg. My Atlantis could lay me two weeks

I found vaping below 30w I got gurgles and spit back because the juice wasn't completely vaporised in the coil...
That said I vape my Atlantis between 35-40w using 100% VG without spit back or gurgle issues, and blow decent clouds with improved flavor,
and coils are lasting over a month vaping it every day..

I got a 30w Istick. Once in a while I'll get a spit. But otherwise I'm happy

Since getting the Arctic with the .2 ohm coil I have a hard time going back to the Atlantis...the Arctic at 65w is like the Atlantis on steroids.. Lol
But its still a good back up, especially with the bigger 7ml tank.

I think they are! In fact I like the Arctic so much I own three of them... Two shown here on the IPV3's.. At 65w they blow clouds just short of my best RDA's using the supplied .2 ohm coils.. Yeah, I really like them...

Current coil has been on about 2-3 weeks, I've been using 5ml a day during week and 10ml on weekend, running at 30w always.

I was told by a vendor coils can last two days to two weeks. I have had two come apart on me. The latest one was after only 15ml of juice. I have more coils on order but I find that life span to be rather short for a $4 coil. Keep a close eye on that coil or the wick will come apart and send a nasty surprise into your mouth/throat/lungs.

I have ordered a batch of 20 coils so we will see how long they last before I make a decision to switch to another tank.

Only coil I had go bad in my Atlantis (v1) was the very first one I put in, might have been defective.
2nd coil worked fine and I used it with my Atlantis for a few weeks while vaping 6-8ml a day at 30 watts before getting into RDAs.

I use vAir-T OCC Cotten/Nickel coils for all my Atlantis carts (I have 4)....they're only $9.95 per 5 pack and work with the temp sensing on my Vapor Shark rDNA 40....
...Having said that...I'm not having good luck vaping anything HIGH in VG. Heard that about all the V2 OCC coils too...that they need a thinner juice.

I also have (2) Lemo 2's....which are nice but the Atlantis is better.
I also have the new Zeypherus...not very good with coils and the RBA deck is TINY
For dripping I have a Mad Hatter (ok) and the new Alliance (Sa-weet!)
