burnt taste at high wattage

What's up vape veteran's. This question is for you heavy warm vapers.
I recently purchased a sigelei 150w.
I am new to dripping but love those warm vapes. I have a 0.2 ohm parellel dual coil build on my zenith clone right now that was built for me to experiment with. The flavor is amazing at 53.4 watts but I can't go higher without a burnt taste what can I do to go higher wattage and still get good flavor? I know I don't need a lower build. Wicking? Juice? I don't get it. Please help if you can, and thank you for attempted efforts

Lol. Yes. In reality it tastes fine until I get up to 60 ish. About ten minutes ago I tried soaking the wick in juice and going up to 76 watts which on my build is 4v and now it tastes burnt slightly no matter what

I have not even tried this yet. I bet your clouds are enormous. ;)

They are. My problem is I am new to dripping so I can't fix the burnt taste. I have friends that vape similar builds up to 100 watts. I'm just trying to fix the taste now. Any pointers?

Make sure your wicking is in full firm contact with the coil. It should not sizzle after your done firing. Also build at least 3mm diameter coils so it doesn't dry out so fast if ya wanna go over 60 watts.

What gauge wire do you use? How big are your coils? What is your wicking material?

Sounds like a wicking prob- had the same prob... I was using too much cotton... You're a beast for going that high up....

I'd say try a thicker wrap. For higher wattage you need more juice to the coil which means you need more surface to cotton

That stuff can only wick so much

First things first- ya gotta rewick your coil. One you get even the slightest burn, the cotton will always taste bad

I vape a .24g dual coil build coming in at .25 ohms in my Dark Horse.. I've vaped it as high as 100w but the sweet spot for me is 80-85w on the IPV3.. same build also vapes great on my BFM mech mod also...
I have a Zenith clone but don't use it much anymore after I got the Dark Horse as it has much better airflow to help keep those coils cooler at the higher wattage settings I like...
For me good airflow is as important as my build..

As mentioned above, it is most likely due to these two things:

1. The inner diameter of your coils.
2. Your wicking.

Haven't seen anyone ask this yet:

What kind of juice are you using? Is it HIGH VG? Is it a thick or thin juice? Also, what KIND of wick are you using? I highly recommend Japanese cotton, as they wick AMAZINGLY.

The reason I ask these things, is because if the juice is thick, your wicking is EXTREMELY important. If your are getting that burnt taste, it is because that wick WITHIN the coil is going COMPLETELY dry. If it is going dry, then your juice is getting fired up faster than it is RE-WICKING. So, make sure that wick is PERFECT.

I would just observe. I almost never get over 35 watts. It's handy for burning in coils. 100w is more than s needed.

I never go over 10 Watts. I'm a mouth to lunger who doesn't care about clouds.

I have a problem with PG. I blend my own. The Build is the key. I do a lot. Hobby. Some have a problem with PG. Hurts my throat. Great hit. VG, Ohhh, Big cloud. I used to chew my finger nails after a race I won. Go Figure.

My I suggest using more cotton sounds to me you don't use enough and your not having a enough juice saturation. Try bigger coil builds with more cotton.
