Need better PM function!

Instead of Private Messages, this site has "Conversations". Trouble is no one knows if they are being messaged! Unless you happen to notice the tiny envelope and flag icons on the very top right of the page.
I missed several PMs and sent several that went unnoticed. How about a bigger flashing sign or a pop-up that can be seen?

@petemoss You can go to your settings and select to receive an e-mail whenever someone starts a conversation with you... then you'll get an e-mail each time a conversation is started.

Not all of us check our e-mail alot. being on a desk top, I have no apps that let me know I have mail. sheesh, never did AOL in the old days, so never have had that happen. I have learned to check the top right for new posts etc, so that does work for me.
maybe a PM or conversation tab when you click on the persons logo may help.

All the forums I've been on have basically the same number-based alerts. Is it really that hard just to LOOK for them?

Let me guess, you are on a mobile with a tiny screen....bummer.

This is the first forum that I've followed that has such a strange "conversations" format. Why not just regular PM's with an in box and sent box? Why be different if there is no apparent benefit?

I use Tapatalk for PM's too.
Its great for all my Forum needs...Easy to post pics, subscribe to threads, customise my personal tastes and works wonderfully well with receiving all notifications, including PM's...and it does a lot more than that... It's a free app on Google play ...
