Your Overall Experience With SMOKTECH??

Why is SMOK overlooked in favor of Kanger and Aspire? I have experienced all three manufacturers, and like my SMOK stuff the best.
Recently I tried the SMOK Micro ADC tank ($10). I like it better than my Kanger Aerotank Mega or Mini, or my Aspire Nautilus. I've had the SMOK Micro GDC tank ($30) for a couple of months, and I really love it. The coils are the same for the ADC or the GDC.
One thing I don't like about SMOK is that their VW mods only go as low as 6 watts. I want to vape at 4.5 watts with some flavors.
What do you dislike/like about SMOK? what is your favorite/least favorite product?
Do you think SMOK is underrated or overrated?

I had a Smok branded Ego Twist a while back. Threading crapped out. Don't think that helps, though. I do find some of their new boxes cool, just need replaceable batteries.

At the same time as Smok gets less attention, aside from faulty T.C., they're not getting bad attention. That's something that suggests they don't sell as much, but people are happy with it. I think we all know that praise for positive products/actions is infrequent at best. Now negative quality products/actions you can be sure to hear about. So, maybe it's a good thing?

I liked Smoktech stuff when I first started out, but ran into problems with their quality control processes. I would buy coils 5 boxes at a time, and It was not unusual for me to get one or two bad coils per box. One purchase was especially bad, with 2 completely faulty boxes of coils. The tanks I used were notorious for cracking at the threading after a couple months use (made of cheap plastic that couldn't take the stress).

I really liked the flavors and performance I got out of their tanks, but I needed something more reliable with a substantially lower failure rate. If quality control were better back then, I might actually still be using their stuff today.

I was initially happy with my M80 XPro, but until the truly perfected update arrives (it might never update past v0005-I have v0004 and haven't updated), I won't be using the temperature control function for tanks but maybe for RDAs. There is a mechanical mode on the M80 that might come in handy. The wattage mode works fine, but I like to vape lower than 6 watts. The authentic (not cloned) DNA40 chip is best. I have an authentic Hana Modz and two clone Hana Modz. The latter work well enough, but the former seems much more consistent. As for other Smok gear, I am pleased with my GCT, my ADC, and my GDC (all tanks). I'm so-so about my Silenus (vv/vw mod), my basic e-pipe, and my Guardian 2 e-pipe.

I like my smoktech RBC clearo. Great flavor out of it. But yeah, about half of the coils fizzle out in short order. The ones that work right and hold up are great though.

Well ... I've got experience with 3 Smoktech product purchases. 2X RSBT Attomizers - both separated at the press fit joint. 1 of the two snapped a post hand tightening to secure a coil. I also have a crispy burnt Sidewinder. The Sidewinder did last a bit, but a faulty .5 ohm factory coil for my Subtank resulted in its current paper-weight/parts status. I guess the undersized wiring was a design feature to prevent me from happening to myself.

Summary: IMO Smoktech product design is focused on manufacturing simplicity at the expense of product longevity and durability.

All my smoktek products over the years proved to be disposable for me. I never liked the carts as much as kanger, and I had an early smoktech VV device crap out after a month. Never had a rebuildable atty/tank by them.

Smok recently released its updated M80 Xpro (v0006). I have the first run v0004, which I didn't bother to update to v0005. From what I read so far, the v0006 has problems as well. Temp control must not be as easy as some think it is.
