Thats why I dont give them a dime.
I dont agree with crap that goes on at maxpc either, but im not going to let it ruin my enjoyment i have with the people I know there either.

Everyone can hate whatever they want. If they ban me tonight even if its not my fault, so what why should I care? its just another forum and I will move on,

.and maybe thats where im different. My passions are for real life, not crying about the bad day I had on the internet. There will be many more forums in my lifetime I am sure

I dont care either way, but being full of so much hatred for a website that really has so little effect on my real life is Not my gig, when i go to work tomorrow what happened on potv, vu, maxpc yahoo, hulu game of thrones ecf, espn etc has zero effect on my real life. Did it ruin my fishing trip? Nope, then dont care.

But to each there own. I dont tell people what they should think and do because I dont want them telling me how to live.

I started the thread to vent about the garbage that goes on over there.

I honestly would not care if VU had the exact same rules as ECF as long as the rules were evenly enforced then I'd be cool with it..

A recent series of posts over there was the final straw for me. A person who is well known to be a friend of a moderator posted a long rant loaded with personal attacks against someone. I don't know who that post was directed at but under normal ECF standards it would have, without a doubt, been an instant lifetime ban. A few posts later a different person posted something like: "there is the door ------> use it" that post was deleted and that poster was warned.. The original rant laden personal attack that was posted by the moderators friend? Yup, you guessed it, nothing happened with it..

At any rate, I think this thread has served it's purpose for me at least..

If I go to a restaurant and the waitress/management suck I complain to people so they can go somewhere else. I cry about it.

And I like when people cry about their experience so I don't repeat the mistake. For instance, I've never had a ECF account.

If theres a 1000 reviews for said restaurant yet only 500 are bad, do you not go decide for yourself?. Or do you alway let others dictate what you think?

No, not if the bad reviews are from reputable people. It only really takes one bad review from the right person.

The ECF complaints are all consistent, many from people I like and trust and I'm afraid I include your own comments in my assessment. You might not mind the heavy hand of power hungry cliques. I'd just get banned for speaking my mind. No point in my going there, is there?

I find your quote a bit Ironic. I can't post "Vaper Joe" on ecf without it looking like "***** ***". It's not like a person can walk his own path when he is not allowed to. I can sing praise about anyone I choose on VU or attack a very popular vendor that is friends with many on the forum including a moderator(which I have done recently) here. That, my friend, is walking my own path. No hand slaps from anybody. Just compare the rules. Which forum allows the most freedom?

I think we all have lots of friends on ecf,and we love them...it's just the mods are way to wierd..as is roly.they have really done some fucked things to people.vapers as a rule tend to be mavericks trying to control them is like herding cats.

I think someone tried to make fun of me for trying to find food grade replacement screws for the Goblin v1 issues, not to mention people over there saying the problem didn't exist. ECF is one of the worst message boards out there. And I am comparing that to reddit and 4chan and a few other places that are the ultimate troll sites. Not just for the obnoxious sheeple like behavior, but for the straight out stupidity of many of the posters.

ECF could be an interesting troll site to read, but it takes itself way too seriously to do so.

I got a warning this morning for asking the question " did anyone ever call you a twit?" its just a question... not an insult, not aimed at anyone... and bam a warning.... yup.. its gone too far...
hell, i've called myself a twit at times! *laf*

I haven't been over there in years (except for when googling something and end up over there, and then only reading that one particular thread as a guest) but remember all the drama they had even back in the early days. Doesn't surprise me that it's only gotten worse *shaking head*

Sorry I butchered your post but wanted to highlight this ^^^.

I just noticed that when I typed "Vaping Underground" into a message - in a private conversation - at ECF I got this ******************.

That is kind of sad.

That's pathetic. Just another reason I am glad I joined her instead. They may be legal adults there, but that act like spoiled children. I don't even lurk there anymore since finding "home"

But they were not the best vaping site of 2014, so that is a lie. And their censorship means only those that have performed fellatio on the right (wrong?) moderators are allowed to have a voice. I really do find myself hoping that all their mods and admin will die a slow and painful AIDS related death. Or maybe that some Muslim extremists will get ahold of them.

It is a den of jackasses, worst thing is they think they really know their shit, and lord forgive you for putting accurate information. What shocks me is that many douchebags actually exist.

I'm leaning towards a battery meltdown with there pthingies, or an accident while changing the wire in a piano, would never believe the necessary pink part playtime was engaged in to allow the other,

It doesn't surprise me at all. Spend some time on car forums and you get to see some real colorful characters, like most of the community. I have pretty much phased those out of my life because I am tired of the keyboard commando, who's dick is bigger contests. Even from the women, and in those circles they may be worse since cars are generally a male passion. The women seem to have this need to prove something chip on their shoulders.

Lmao, when I was a mod on sportbike sites back in the day, the females that didn't ride their own bike were the biggest problem. So I made them invisible to everyone but each other and let them loose. There were some decent bsr's (back seat riders) but the BW's (bike whores) were another story. They ganged up on females that rode their own bikes, and guys that didn't talk down to them.

Ouch, never eating jalapeños again.

Jalapeños are mild. Step it up to ghost peppers!, or get extreme and go with Naga Vipers. The oils in those will strip paint....

don't you judge me.
??? I don't think he was judging anyone. I'm guessing you are gay? Doesn't really matter to me. I've got gay friends. I call straight people gay as an insult, as it is an insult to a straight person. Gay people that have incurred my wrath, well, I have to be more creative. I called a gay guy a "closet hetro" and it took him about 15min to stop laughing. He was really flaming though, so it was the perfect thing to say. He has been a friend and my tattoo artist since then.

Now to completely derail this thread... You got my ear! I did 3 1/2 year of a bachelors program at Johnson & Wales. Bad accident derailed my life plan and I do IT now, but still have that passion for tasty cuisine.

Being in Naw'lins I bet you make a mean gumbo! Are you a roux, okra, or file gumbo type? Except during okra season when I can get good, fresh, organic okra, I tend to go the roux route.

Huh?
Its not gumbo without a roux. If there is no roux Its soup. Okra is something ill put in depending on who is eating it, personally I love it; but, its not for everyone. and none of that frozen crap! I get that from someone I know who grows it,
Usually I do either chicken and sausage or shrimp ....if its shrimp I do 2 raw oysters at plating time, so they cook in the bowl and have the perfect consistency when someone gets to it,

I always start with the roux and build from there, so yeah roux.

I make a roux gumbo as well. It is the only part I do in a seperate pan, and add it to the trinity when there is nice brown scrapingings on the bottom of soup pot. But I have friends that thicken with gumbo file and okra.

Like you, I like okra as an ingredient sometimes. During season only when I can get it fresh. I usually do a shrimp, crab, and sausage gumbo. I always have to have a little sausage in it, regardless what the main meat\meats are.

Ohhhhh you're saying they use the okra slime gotcha... yeah I've hard of people doing that, just never tried. roux takes me 10 minutes and its just flour and oil or butter. Plus I was taught that one by my great aunt when I was old enough reach the stove. (kinda born into it)
Fillet is just sassafras, I usually have that on the side Like salt and pepper.
Normally I start with the roux in a big cast iron pot, then trinity, then Stock, protein, at the end okra and a touch of my seasoning, bayleaf, lemon, sage.......
Gumbo started as a dish for scraps so at times we throw all kind of crap in there, rabbit ... crab.... dear... duck....
Guess what I'm saying is we see gumbo as a type of dish, like soup. I lived in Tucson for a while and they were shocked when they saw a dear/duck gumbo

I get that. 2 in mine and 1 in my wife and kids bowls sounds good, then for the rest of the guests I'll play it by ear.

Before sunrise on the 4th I'll be at the docks when the boats come in to get some jumbo prawns, blue crab, and now some oysters! I think I'll get a few dozen so I have something to hold me over while I suffer the smell of the gumbo cooking.
