I stuck a recipe on the recipe thread, I would stick here but it only contains 1 FA flavor. It came out Way better than expected. It's the wrong time of season for Bourbon Balls but really, who's counting lol

@KeyserSoze : Reason I really dig rayon is it doesn't taste like a wet tee shirt for the first tank or two, and I get a better nic hit from using it as opposed to using cotton. Just my 2c

-Kingboomer

Huh. I don't use RTA's very much but I don't really fight with the break in of cotton like some people do. In my drippers I don't really notice it. As for nic hit I'm down to 0.8 mg/ml or 0 nic so that's not a biggie for me. The dry hit from rayon is a little worrisome. It definitely tastes man-made. Guess I should just keep the dang wick wet and stop worrying about that!

Plus, wet T-shirts can be awesome!

Success! Here's my story...

I wanted to start simple, so I mixed 3 30ml bottles to start. I realized the expresso and cocoa flavors I ordered have not arrived yet, so the mocha recipe will have to wait. Mixed by weight using e-Liquid Calculator, used a milk frother after adding the ingredients into a beaker, and warmed the result on a mug warmer until clear. Nic and VG from ecigexpress, and max VG for these recipes.

Blue raspberry was fantastic out of the gate:

FW Lemonade 4%
FA Raspberry 1%
FA Blueberry .5%

OMG! Perfect for the upcoming hot months here in Florida. Can't wait to see what time will do to this recipe. Now I have to make a big batch!

Next experiment, Strawberry Creme:

FA Vienna Cream 3%
FA Strawberry 2%

After a few vapes, I realized the Strawberry was not as strong as I wanted it, so I added 2 more drops to the bottle (should bring the percentage up to 3 or 4?) It was still yummy as it was, and I'll report results later.

Finally, I tried a Banana Custard:

FA Custard 3%
FA Banana 2%

It's good, but needs more depth. All in all, I'm very happy with the results today!

That's awesome! Your first day of DIY sounds more successful than my first month!

You mention "FA Blueberry" - Flavor Apprentice Blueberry?

Flavour Arts Blueberry- I believe TFA is used for The Flavor Apprentice flavors.

And yes, I'm very happy with my first day results, but that is all thanks to the wonderful information I gleaned from this forum! I appreciate all who share their success, so I wanted to share mine.

It is. That's why I was asking. Do you have FA Bilberry? I don't think FA makes a Blueberry. Most people use Bilberry interchangeably with Blueberry, I was just clarifying for anyone that wants to try one of your mixes as the blueberries I have tried are fairly different than Bilberry.

OK guys, I've read the game over custard thread, and FULLY intend on buying some for special occasions, but does anyone have a custard recipe that includes all FA flavors? I've had a few custards before and love em!

-Kingboomer

If it gives you an idea of how much I like GOC, I just ordered a 4 oz bottle (yes thats 4 OUNCES) :D

Had to go back and check the bottle after that post- I oopsed! It was Flavor West Blueberry. I do have the Bilberry now, and will try the recipe with that next. Sorry about that! I've gone back and edited the post.

I think I've got something :D

1% Dark vapure
1% shade
.5% maxx blend/honey ( I'm thinking it's in fact a tobacco now)
.5% licorice plus

What I did is mix all these as stand alone about a month ago and let em steep, then mixed the premades (the above is a rough guess at percentages), blended, and left alone for a day or two. It still needs something (maybe a dark fruit), but it's pretty good!

I seen you guys talking about concord grape and no one was really a fan, I agree its not the absolute best grape flavor but it is pretty awesome sometimes and makes good jelly :) here are a few recipes Ive enjoyed using concord grape. Some might want to drop the concord down just a bit if its overwhelming for you and you still might not like these if you do not enjoy the flavor lol. I think I probably have shared these in the past already.

All FA ( NOT TFA !)

wllmc's Purple Cookies

0.5% Concord Grape
0.5% Bilberry
0.5% raspberry
0.5% Marshmallow
1% Vienna Cream
1% Cookie

wllmc's Berries Gone Wild (sorry its not Huckled-Berries lol)

0.5% Concord Grape
0.5% Blackcurrant
0.5% Raspberry
0.5% Catalan Cream
0.5% Fresh Cream
0.5% Marshmallow

wllmc's Jam Sammichez

0.5% Concord Grape
0.5% Bilberry
0.5% Caramel
0.5% Hazelnut
0.5% cookie
1% of a 0.25% dilution of Bread Crust

Thanks for.the share as always @wllmc. Only have a minute, but just.wanted to give a quick shout out to all the service members out there and their family members. Your efforts and sacrifices do not go unnoticed. I am currently on a bit of a family road trip to see my son, who throws a ball for a living, not exactly a life and death thing, and a part of why we can do that is due to those who are honored today, so thank you.

HA! I sware I usually put in a flavor order and then someone posts an awesome looking recipe I don't have all the flavors to make it'... example @Zeeli bourbon balls. You all must check out th a t post'. However for the first time ever Wllmc posts these right after I place an order and get 3 ml of concord grape to try. Hmmm, was it to make me love grape? Or was it to entice me to order bread crust? I'll tell you what, he always puts in tiny samples I never would think of ordering. For example fa croissant. I think to myself, "Really Wllmc?" But what the heck! Mixed her up at 1% and you know what? Loved it! It was a real tart lemon with grind flavor and light croissant. Somehow I am making a lemon torte out of it! So, bread crust? Ok it may just b on my next Order.:D

Good morning, everyone! I've been lurking on this thread for weeks, and haven't even gone through half of it yet! I'm a new DIYer and today is my first mixing day. I've got about 30 FA flavors to play with and my head is spinning, but please wish me luck!

Thanks, wllmc! I love grape. Just mixed up some of HIC's Grapeade yesterday, but haven't tried it yet. First recipe with FA Grape Concord, so I'm looking forward to it. I've played around with TFA Grape Candy, trying to make a really good grape Jolly Rancher/lollipop/hard candy flavor, but it didn't turn out very well. When I didn't know any better I also mixed up some Lorann's grape one time that didn't taste half bad, but no way I'd vape that now LOL!

Trust me, you didn't offend @Thunderball. He is awesome!
He really is. :)

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Hug a vet!

When I meet a vet for the first time I always sincerely thank them for their service. Most of the time it catches them off guard a little because its not what usually happens. I think it should be.

Oh and FA Grape Concord will always be entries 1, 2 and 3 of my "Top 5 Least Favorite Flavors". I'm glad other people like it though and if anyone ever wants to try it I'll send mine anywhere in the continental 48 for free. Probably have 8 or so ml here.

I'm weird though. I also can't vape Marzipan. :(

Anyone have a good use for FA Lychee? Maybe with some peach?

+1 for Lychee as a sweetener in fruity blends, especially with tropical fruits. If you add enough to actually taste the flavor (can be even less than 0.5%, depending on what you're mixing it with), you'll taste it mostly on the exhale. The sweetness extends later in the exhale than most other sweet flavors, so it's especially useful to me. If you have a punch-like recipe that's not sweet enough, try adding a little FA Lychee to fix it.

I just added 2 drops of Lychee to 10 mls of @Hic 's Sunrise Smoothie. Yea that pretty much killed the bottle. So I learned 2 drops of this stuff is to much lol

Big day today. Finished reading this thread and have caught up with you all, mixed my first juice, HIC's 3 Milky Musketeers and vaped for the first time with my Kanger subtank mini, that just arrived.

I was feeling quite dubious about mixing a juice but it was oh, so simple and tastes oh, so yummy that I mixed up a few more.

I have scales but I just used the drops method and mixed small flavour batches as HIC suggested. It was so easy and quick.

So thank you all for all the great tips, tricks, advice and recipes

Hi Foggz. Congrats on your success too. I've collected so many recipes I didn't know where to start. They're in somewhat alphabetical order so I started with 3 Milky Musketeers and intended to work through the alphabet, sort of. But HIC's Cocoa Cookies sound really, really good. Mmmmm...

Has anyone gotten the Coconut recently in the new orange bottles with the picture attached?
Is it the same as it used to be?

I got this flavour a few days ago for the first time and I have to say I was not impressed, given all the praise it had going on for it. I was expecting creamy coconut and got something reminiscent of coconut shell.

So I'm wondering if they changed the flavor just recently, if anyone can compare.

Yes, it's not a sweet coconut like you might expect. Sounds like the coconut I've always had from FA!

Yeah, if you're after a sweeter coconut flavor, shoot for TFA coconut candy or coconut extra. FA is more like cracking the shell of a fresh coconut.

What is everyones thoughts on the Best Before dates on FA bottles. I have received some that are past the BB date on the bottles. One by quite a length of time. Not happy to use them but I'm curious on your thoughts.

I'm sure I have and still use plenty of older flavorings. If they're kept dark/cool, they seem to do fine past a year. But who knows how your seller had them stored over the past year. Who sells such old flavoring?

I just had to toss 2/3 of a 30ml bottle I've had around 8 months or so. The strawberry had just died :-(

It's from a local vendor in Ireland. Should've bought some Meringue..;)
Will not be using vendor again. Nut Mix has a best before of March 2014 and it smells like all hell. Waiting on an explanation and solution from the vendor. Im sure they will do the right thing by me.
