Please tell me im not the only one sick of vendors all over the forum

I know I haven't been here long; but, why is it everytime I come on the forum one of the first new posts is see is either a vendor hocking there wares or a post by someone suggesting something but the screen name is,'-----.com' Really?

I made mention in a thread and the following post was a '----.com' posting about the great sale they were having. I log on later that night and 'aspire-----' is trying to sell a noob a CF Kit, just now I log on to the worst English post I've seen about a new 'wickless tank.'

Im all for a good deal and like most of the members here order alot of stuff especially when there's a sale and I want to know of the sale. But really?
Is it just me? If so can someone point me to a sale on used cyanide caplets that would be great?

The '----.com' I mentioned is in a thread with a mod and looks like that's ok. So Im unsure of where the line is.

We try to keep them in the right areas as best we can, Most new vendors it seems not all of them read the forum rules before posting, only to find warnings and their links removed and even whole threads moved to the CORRECT areas along with a pm, we try to not turn it into a nanny situation but we will enforce our few rules that we have here. Like Huck says, best alert we can get that there is shilling or spamming going on is that ever so important REPORT button, those drop down on our screens no matter where we are and we tend to those first hand and immediately. So hopefully the abusers get the message quickly.

I know VU does what it can; and im not trying to be a bitchy mcbitchface. Just well; you know how hard it is for me to hold my tongue when I get tweaked out over something. Haha
Consider it timing or rapant abuse but it was literally like the slapchop Infomercial last weak and first thing again this morning.
I had to ask, and maybe it is just me that noticed.

Just goes with the territory, unfortunately. I get spam email from Chinese vendors on a daily basis who are looking for me to buy their products. Batteries, mods, juice, you name it. It's pretty clear to any normal human being who spends 10 seconds on my site that I'm not a retailer, but they send solicitations anyway.

I would imagine fending them off here is much more tedious.

you could always screw with them, ask them pointless questions, get them going by calling their wares crap.....etc.

Next time a dot com pops up,ask them if they have prince albert in a 50 ml bottle.

-edit: Maybe we can get a new section in the mudpit where we put all the bastards in one area where we can all fuck with them. Call it "The Petting Zoo"

I dont mind seeing vendors actually giving you a deal on products or showing something new.

My peeve with some vendors are those who post up a product for ONLY $69.99 ON SALE NOW when others sell the same product for $49.99 at regular price

Or discount codes on products where the HUGE savings is still more than another vendors regular price.

And also the vendors that are trying to sell direct from china with an amazing low price but you find out its almost 50 dollars to have a $24.99 product shipped to the U.S.

That was me that posted on that thread. It was a mistake on my part. I post on that thread 5 or 6 times a day. I kind of just meant it for my friends. I do follow the rules and am predominately here to be helpful and informative. Trust me we don't make money with sales like that and we don't often post about sales or try to entice people to us. Our customer service speaks for itself. The couple of times we did post a sale it was in the appropriate section. I've made a lot of friends here that I value their friendship. What would a forum be also, without reputable vendors for people to use or recommend others to ? We are currently working on being Vendors on the site and are going to make a donation also. People who donate help support the costs to run the forum. Our website is being re-designed and we are waiting for that so we can link this site and it's banner to ours. If you look at a lot of my posts they are friendly, helpful and informative. You will often see me recommending stuff that we don't even sell and also recommending other vendors that we have nothing to do with. It's all about helping people ! So if I have offended you in some way I apologize. I've been posting here for a while and did notice myself lately a lot of new vendors and posts. Memorial day was like an all out war with all of the sales. Know what though? That benefits the vapers in getting them better deals and prices. Whiskey probably knows me a bit. I post here and one other forum mainly because I like the people. Even with cursing aloud......I try to keep it clean and treat people the way I would like to be treated. So again if I can help anyone in any way feel free to ask and have a great day!

I am new to this forum so I don't know how things work here, but on a Audio Forum I have been a member of for years only allows companies that are Paid Advertisers post on the forum. If your not a paid advertiser & you are promoting your products on the forum your account is deleted. Keeps the Riff Raff out, and the advertisers help pay the bills.

There is a section on the forum called Sales and Promotions. Vendors and the general public are aloud to post there. At least that's what it says. But like I said we are in the process of doing what's right.

Well, in my own laziness I didn't red the rules. I just get sick of seeing ' self promotion ' to the point where I wont purchase from anyone who engages in it. When I'm looking for a deal on something ill go find it.
I'll spread the word if I come across deal, but that's me, letting someone know where they can buy something they want from, not self promotion. Sort of a different story.
Ask whiskey, shes seen me post sales on stuff from all kinds of vendors; one even got me in trouble.
But like I said, I'm a principled person

That day I had seen a few mfg reps from china blatantly selling stuff, several recommendations from people with a 'dot com' signature, and a few saying ' I sell....' none of which were suggesting things the OP's asked for-exact opposite style gear.
That sort of thing irks my last nerve; especially when there is a section just for that as stated. I don't go to a forum to be hard sold, or solicited.

What's done is done is done though, just sayin

I got you. I'm posting on here every day just being friends and helping people. I know I wasn't happy about seeing Aspire all over here. But I do know that the regulars know who the good people are. Sorry the Avatar has the website on it. that's just in anticipation of the vendor status coming. They should go together. I get to meet people from all over on here and make friends. When I post it's just about helping and also learning. You can even look at whatever recent activity I did tonight and it should show you what kind of person I am. I do look forward to ending the day and starting the next day with the last one to post wins thread. Made some good friends on there and we talk about a lot of different things and kid around a lot. Kind of brightens the day. So......Hope we can be friends also. You have a great night !
