Not at all bro. Kind of worries me. Maybe that's just me. With the silver one I can just pocket it without system off. But with this black beast I'm worried about doing that since it's not clicky....it's not super sensitive like a touch button bit it doesn't have much resistance
You should contact your vendor and get a replacement then. Didn't you get your black unit from Vapenw?
I don't see it being a problem to exchange it.

I got a couple to try on my ipv4. Really like the texture ones.
The wrap fits and sticks to everything BUT the taco shell battery cover.
Side note... You can get it to adhere... just hit it with hair drier till adhesive kicks in.

I ordered one from Mighty skins (via Ebay) - for $6 or so I thought it was worth a try. I have one from their main website I bought months ago for the IPV mini, and it's holding up well.

Interesting. Must be a fluke in production. I know in this thread somewhere someone mentioned that their silver wasn't clicky either.
That was me. My fire button takes about 1/3 of the pressure than the adjustment buttons to activate it. You are the first that seems to have a similar issue. No clicking sound from mine can be heard unless you hold it next to your ear and fire it. I sent an email to Wake and Vape about it a few days ago. I knew they were probably gone over holiday weekend, but have not heard anything back yet.

Thanks bro please let me know if this is possible. I know its not the vendor's fault who gets them in stock. It has to be the folks at shenzeng China P4Y who rushed them out without proper quality checks. But it's really not a huge deal considering. I did a jean short test with the box in my pocket without system shutoff and it didn't fire so that's a good thing. I haven't tried wearing my jeans, which are relatively tight. So we'll see about that.

Will do. I sent a second email a little while ago. I'm sure they are catching up from a long weekend. I also have a black version coming from Smog, eventually.

I'm not going to be returning mine. I'm just curious if it's possible cause like I said it's not the vendor's fault. It's the production of it. If anything wouldn't asmodus be the one to go to for faulty IPV's?

I have the black ipv4 and the fire button isnt as clicky as the + - buttons. Its fine for me though.
Does it click at all? Even next to my ear, I hear no distinguishable click. I just feel a slight change in the button when it activates.

If there is a click it is verrrrrrry faint. I dont mind though. It looks great. Waiting for the batts to charge to try it out.

Yeah the black looks awesome and feels great in my hand. Anyone have any idea about my charging batt question?

On most batteries I have see, if you hold them sideways so you can read the writing, the positive will be to the left. Positive also usually has a smaller center section and negative is flat across with the battery wrap just coming over the edges.

I meant charging the batts on a .5, 1.0, or 2.0 setting on a efest luc s2 charger.

I would use .5 unless you're in a hurry, 1.0 will charge them faster though. I'm pretty sure the 2.0 on the Efest will only work on 26650 batteries. Routinely I always use 0.5 and charge them slower, but I have extra sets so never in a hurry.

I'm jealous. I'm just afraid my button will wear out prematurely or eventually stick on and keep firing, since there is so little spring resistance. I have many mods and none of them even come close to having so little button resistance.

That's what I'm afraid of also. I wish someone else out there has a trick to pop it back out to make it spring. It's such a nice looking mod I would hate to put it to the side down the line.

Agread. Mine has none of the gaps that some have reported. Nice and tight around all of the seams.

No gaps here either but on further looking I see the button is slightly uneven

Did anyone who got the black ipv4 have to upgrade it out of the box online

That was just a misprint. All of the ipv4's are already upgraded. There are a bunch of typos and clerical errors in the pamphlets

Ok took mine apart to see what's up with fire button and why it's not clicky. It's not faulty. The cause it 2 strips of foam 1 on each side of button that aren't letting button click. I'm thinking they are there to keep button from rattling I just carefully used a tiny screwdriver to squeeze them a tad and button is better. Up to you if you want a click or not but button isn't faulty

How did you unscrew the screws?

I just got aome ni200 coil heads from kangertech for my subtank. What might be a good joules to temp ratio to start with? The heads are rated i believe at 20w to 45w.

20-40 watt? Then I'd assume 20-40- joules :) I'd start at 20 joules and 280F and work up.

Yes I did and the wrap is still adhering to the taco just fine. All I did prior to application was clean all surfaces with rubbing alcohol including the taco.
