Thank you everyone. If I do have any questions, I won't let one or two people spoil it for me. I know what type of people they are by the way they reacted to finding I was brain damaged though, instead of an Oh sorry it was more of a "oh so it confirmed my suspicions something was wrong with him" kind of thing. Like people of said, they are not worth worrying about, and I wont. I'l sit back, have a nice vape (50/50 Citrus mix at the moment) and enjoy my day :).

I'll just tell ya, you did choose a forum full of vaping veterans with a wellspring of knowledge and advice. You chose a forum full of folks who have a reasonable handle on what they're doing, but are always learning more (like me), and you did choose a forum full of clueless newbies who are thirsty to learn everything they can. What you did NOT do is land in a forum full of perfect people. Human we are and human we'll be, but this is a bunch of the coolest people on the planet. ;)

Haha circle dripping, I like that one. I'l be honest-I have been using whatever natural things I can in my house to make my flavours, but I haven't 'steeped' my juice, is this necesarry?

Depends on what it is. Fruit vapes are generally ready to vape, those don't change much with time or heat. Custards and tobaccos take FOREVER, but heat steeping can speed that up some. Anything you make that isn't quite "there," let it sit for a week or two and try it again. If it's still not "there," it likely won't be.

That's another one of those personal preference things and it depends on the juice as well as your taste buds. I've found that if something I mix doesn't taste good as soon as I mix it, generally, its not going to taste any better after 2 weeks. :D but if its good when I first mix it, then it can only get better with time. Nicotine oxidizes and meshes with the other flavorings and can turn some liquids darker and more flavorful over time so, in some cases it works but its not "Necessary". Hope this helps.

Ahh, I use zero nic so might not work for me, but I suppose giving one bottle a steep wont hurt? I got a litre of PG and VG so wont miss a 10ML bottle steeping lol

It doesn't hurt to try , go ahead experiment, but I'm fairly certain when I say that if your using zero nic, don't bother with steeping just mix, shake and vape. You can use Loranns flavorings that come in dram bottles at pharmacies like CVS, just remember to get "flavorings" not oils. they also make oil based candy flavoring. Vaping oils of any kind is bad. Kinda scared me a bit when you said you were making juice out of whatever natural stuff you could find around the house. lol. you want kosher VG, everything needs to be food grade or USP. The humco VG from Walmart works fine in a pinch. If your doing fruit flavorings, its a 10% mix, usually so if your making a 10ml bottle put in 1ml of flavoring and then what ever pg/vg ratio you want, shake and vape. :D

Yeah I am in the UK so its not USP ,but it is all pharmaceutical grade VG and PG. I am going to try chefsvapes on the weekend, buy a few bottles from there of concentrate (0 nic) they are really cheap. It will work out so much cheaper to make, 10 Mls of juice is 4-5 pounds in a shop, 10mls will cost me pennies.
I won't bother steeping, thanks for letting me know its not necessary without nicotine, otherwise I would of had a non improving bottle steeping probably untill my 80's lol.

lol, I remember when I first started DIY, its exciting and a lot fun and your right, its a LOT cheaper. You can try steeping a bottle in your cupboard for a week or two and see if it makes it better, it wont hurt that's for sure. one tip I will give is keep your juice out of direct sunlight! Cheers!

Every encounter I've had with my juice coming in contact with direct sunlight has ended badly. I have had a few bottles of liquid go kinda sour after leaving one on a picnic table in the summer for about 2 hours in direct sunlight and leaving juice in a hot car is also not a good idea. Room temp or refrigerated, and even though I would love to discover a germ that could survive passing through an atomizer, you still want to be as sterile as possible when mixing. You'll be an old pro in no time. :D

I have no isue with you my friend, you only said it was a bit silly, I don't see that as a bad thing, I can understand if people didn't know, but even before it happened I talked a LOT lol. I am the same on a darts and yoyo(yes yoyo) forum, and they like it bringing life to the forum so suppose it can be good :).

BoomStick wrote: post: 491214 "There's a whole lot of people missing my point. I don't give two shits how many questions anybody asks nor does the nature of their questions bother me. My issue was thread bombing the forum. Starting a thread about batteries and chargers and then asking every question imaginable about batteries and chargers isn't an issue at all. Starting 10 threads about batteries and chargers in two weeks seems excessive. So does five seperate threads with the word 'subtank' in the title in the same time span. The only reason I criticized the 'do I need spare batteries' question was because instead of asking that question in one of the MANY battery threads he already created, another seperate thread was created. I've been a member of several forums of interest to me over the years and have never seen this level of excessive and repetitive thread creation be accepted. Criticizing the asking of questions wasn't my point at all.Boomstick. (I could not quote as he is on my ignore list so had to copy and paste and add the poster.)

My brain injury leads to short term memory loss, and I do not remember making the threads. I do not mean to spam the forum, I am simply asking questions, some I may need to be told at least 5 times untill it sinks in. I made moderators aware when I joined. If I really bother you, just use the ignore feature, as I really enjoyed this forum (I don't get to talk to many people either, that is also another reason I may make a lot, I want an answer and also someone real to talk to).

Please, If my condition and repetition bothers you, ignore or block me. I Will add you to my ignore list now, reason being no attempt of an apology, just that it confirmed your suspicions something was wrong with me.

Like Mrs blue said, don't worry about it.
I think the majority would agree that you're all in the good.
Disability aside, your threads are common questions that a new member would and should ask.
I think BoomStick just had a bug up his butt that day and now feels obligated to back his opinion even though he knows it was a frivolous gripe to begin with.

If I am fair, I am quite lucky as in you wouldn't immediately know there is anything wrong upon meeting me, and probably wouldn't, just would think I have an awful memory lol.
Everyone has been helpful on here, and if I have questions I will continue to ask, and answer newbies who also may have a question I now know the answer too. It's pretty cool, and I'm looking forward to getting my first RDA on the weekend ( Well order it then) and maybe a subtank, I'm not sure wether just to get the RDA though, I will see how much I have spare. Going to get something called an 'el cabron' clone by tobeco, heard good things about them so am going to get that one. And some batteries. I need more of them, and after finding 18650's power flashlights I asked on a flashlight forum for the best budget 18650 light, they directed to me to one for less than ÂŁ10 that will compete with car headlights, so thats pretty cool lol.

ANd Bondo, I agree he probably just had a bad day and vented it here, new day now though and as soon as its midnight time to order new vape gear lol

Dude I have been battling memory issues for the better part of 20 years, I had an incident of clueless that involved exhaustion + ephedra + heat.
When you sitting pulse rate 20 minutes after the episode is 160 bpm and your bp is 180/260 and your body temp is pushing 106 you are heading to light via the fuckedville express by way of donezo scenic route.
If not for the ice bath and the Hospital being a research hospital doing trials of ketamine for blood pressure treatments I would not be here.

The overheating chest pounding and headache sucked, not as bad as the ice dunk... the special K was nice, and so were the nurses boobs.

I'm a disabled vet due to brain injury. Yep, short term memory deficits.

@BoomStick can go fuck himself. At least the rest of us have an excuse. He must have been born a stupid fuck. ;)

I'm just a simple boy myself, but it seems to me that any LEGIT question is a good question, even if some of us may find it a stupid question. For example, I bought a 4nine and found these 5000mah batteries on eBay that were so cheap, guess I'm in business. Although not a question, that needs to be addressed by knowledgeable people to say in the nicest way possible "don't blow your damn face off, buy some Samsung or whatever good trusted batteries". We all gotta kinda be proactive a little bit and supportive, not that being an asshole is always a bad thing, some people just come in knowing everything or trolling and then sometimes asshole needs to be responded to with asshole. But genuine questions no matter how dumb or off the wall they may seem could help educate someone or save them from a world of pain when it comes to battery safety. And where the duck is my spare battery at?
