I have a sigelli 150 and a IPv4. I got 6 light blue samsungs and a mutation x v4. I have 26g nichrome and some 22g that I don't know what it is assuming kanthal. Looking for a easy safe sub ohm build?

I also have aspire Atlantis v2, arctic, and freemax starre tank. I vape them at 65 to 75 watts. As my regular vape. So I'm looking for something between 50 to 100w maybe a .25 coil???

I have a kuro concept 25 jig it wraps 2.6mm coils. And I have a ohm reader. There is something about more vapor that satisfies my cig needs. Since are started I haven't touched a cig. 30cigs a day for over 15 years. I had a ego, mvp2.0, mvp3.0 then bought sig. Do have a IPv4 also.

Edit also have bacon cotton.

I would start by trying a 5 1/2 wrap, 22g, dual coil build. Set the airflow where you like, start at about 50w and dial in the air and power from there. With that gear I would actually prefer 24g kanthal and 3mm coils, but if I had to work with what you have I'd try what I mentioned. Should be a decent place to start. Good luck.

I agree with Boomstick, 24g is the way to go(for me atleast). 22G at 50-100 watts is going to be pretty hot.

I did it with the 22g wire. 8wraps before I read the replies. So this what it looks like. I only have that one size tool. Let me say it was a piece of cake to wrap with. I'm going to walk down the block and try to get a 3 drill bit or order the other two kuro's they got. I have it on 95w 5v right now. Thing is cool not hot at all. Flavor not bad, vapor same as my tanks or less? Kinda hyped right now my first build that I actually vaped from. I want to try what yall suggested next. Thxs any more input will be more then appreciated.... The .05 I built first no I didn't use it, it looked sloppy. I did the right thing by not using that. It was dUal parallel 6wrAp 26g nichrome?

I chain vape. How long u think my coil or cotton will last?

As long as you don't distort the coils when you take the wick out, they can last for weeks. Just dry fire it once you have the wick out to burn the gunk off. I get bored and recoil my RDAs wqg before the coils actually "need" to be changed

You'll probably want to rewick every day or two but it's really up to you. Once you get used to doing it it will take about 5 minutes tops

Try dual 8 wrap coils with the 26g N80. I don't have a tool that exact size, but dual 8 wraps should land you right around .2-ish, possibly a tad higher

If you up the diameter and drop some wraps you can get the same contact area between coil and wick, and the shorter, fatter coil and fatter wick will provide better wicking. Also, mount the coils using the positive post hole farthest away from the negative post. Helps center the coils for more symmetrical wicks and improves airflow over the coils and through the atty in general especially if you're using the bottom air holes. After centering them better, you can move them out away from the positive block a bit and leave the area under the coil open and free of cotton. The back and bottom of the coils don't look to be getting good air with the positioning of the coils and wicking. The coils themselves look really good. Just trying to help you get them to perform as good as they can.

22g @70w. Not what I like. Kinda like my freemax tank better. Guess I got to keep trying til I find my spot. I'm going to try everything people recommended when I get out of work. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433353185.948744.jpg

Others may disagree, but that is a shitload of wick. You want there to be some airflow under the coil. With that pillow you have underneath the coil you won't be getting any air down there

I just made another I used less then half that. But now I'm getting a little burnt taste. Not sure if it's the cotton or coil It self. Trying to figure it out guess I'm going to make another the same way. This thing has way more flavor and vapor with the less wick just getting burnt hits while it's wet. 26g nic, 5wrAps. Two coils. 0.32. 4o to 70w.

If you're getting burnt hits while the visible wick is wet, you may have too much cotton. Not as in too much length wise, but too much in diameter. If its too thick its pretty much pinching the wick, not letting juice flow through.

I really like 26-24 gauge 6 wrap coils on my mech. Haven't tried regulated so no idea there. I usually end up with a .4-.3 ohm on that in my little boy rda. As for the burnt taste you might have too much cotton going through the coil and is not allow enough juice in there.

Not sure what you've got going on now, but the last set of pics shows not enough cotton in the coil (at least the one on the right) and too much everywhere else. The coils are still too close to the positive block. They're almost touching it. It appears that there isn't enough wick/juice in contact with the inside of the coil and not enough airflow around the outside of the coil. The pics below are of a different atty and the build isn't perfect, but they kinda show the direction you might want to move in regarding coil placement and wicking. Good luck.

Thank you. Still to close to +. It's 22g flavor better and vap pretty descent. No burnt taste. I'm going to try another been liking the 5/6 wrap but forgot what wire I used :{ think I'm starting to get hang of wick part. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433439714.018728.jpg

And is it normal for my mod to get moisture on top of mod the airflow on mutation is right on mod so I figure yes? And when u unscrew it it's always wet underneath. Is that normal. I chain vape my tanks and that don't happen.

Because that atty has the bottom airflow, if the coils aren't right above the air holes, the wicking isn't just right or you over drip you might get some leaking. You could use the silicone plugs to close the bottom air holes and see if it stops. I haven't used a mutation 4, but I would imagine the bottom air flow would be prone to leaking if everything isn't set up just right for leaving them open.

Finally, and it's my day off. I can sit back and enjoy. It's still not what I want but it's more then enjoyable again. I had some bad, bad taste coming out that. If it wasn't from you tube and reading stuff in these forum I probably would of gave up. Just wanted to say love this forum a lot of good reads still trying to figure my way and figure out best way to use this forum.

Well at least I'm still cig free after 10 messy builds. Burnt taste and fire balls. Throat was killing me yesterday, the first and hopefully the only time this every happens

I did with royal 26g 2.33.m ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433630628.689970.jpg I just did this. Same thing, just now. Accept I used blue screw driver don't know what size. The first one I used the red was 2.6mm for the other coils. They working for now... I got some 24 kanthol coming monday. Seem like a lot of people been using that and I havnt tried. I going to try same build 5 or 6wrPs. See what it comes to.

Builds getting there just got to find my all day. They should have a chart with different builds and u can pick and tweek to your liking.

All them videos I watched and nothing like doing it yourself.

I'm using 24 gauge kanthal with 6 wraps at .28 ohms and love it. The reason I asked if you made your own juice is because my buddy tried using some flavors from the store to make a cheap quick banana and strawberry and didn't realize there was alcohol in it. It ended up tasting super burnt. That's why I asked. You know it just might be your atty. I ended up selling my magma that had bottom airflow to my buddy cuz I didn't like it and he did.

I'm learning the hard way I got
A plumevil clone and a authentic mutation x4. Only happen with x4. Sure it's just because I just started building any many things went like it should of sure there is a million other factors. I buy some pretty good juice online. I found some flavors I like for really cheap. I usually get a 70 or 80/30 or a max vg from them. Every once in awhile I buy a mothers milk SB, or milkman, or (telos milk/crunch.) But I always go back to that really cheap flavor on that site, it's unbelievable. Maybe one dAy soon I will try to diy. Seems like I'm going that direction. Eventually!!

I diy a mothers milk clone and can't put it down. I've tried different mixes and stuff but always go back to this one for some reason.
