You will have to contact Rob on the remill! not sure of the cost and paint. Honest the paint is not a concern for me with the RDA I have plained for it.

I will look for the link on the Bento lunch box juice bottles for you and edit this post.

@KatyLoo - These are the bottles I bought. You can only use the top row of 4 out of the package. However for $0.99 you can buy a few packages, and get it shipped fairly fast.

Not that I like to advertise amazon,,,,,,,,,,I hate them,,,,,but it is only a couple of bucks!

The other option is to get a package off ebay but they ship from China from my understanding. There maybe some others on here that use these so correct me if I am wrong.

@Borescoped - Kind of quiet.....I just found this thread.... Maybe others have not yet either?

How many of you are using the new square 4.5-5ml bottle modification on the mini?

Thread started from an ECF thread. This is a great mod for holding more juice. The square bottle fits nice, more juice, very easy squonk.

The bottles are a bit thin but so far i have not had one spring a leak. An oring around the neck of the bottle at the base of the threads and no leaks.
I had a bottle spring a leak! I'm still getting a leak, but I think I've got a wonky gasket in the 510 connector!

Amanda, have you tried putting an oring around the bottom of the threads on the square bottle. The cap seals on the oring at the bottom. You will notice you barely have to touch the bottle to have it squonk. I had to use larger orings and still stretch them over the neck of the bottle and then push them down to just below the last thread. They are a Dash 10 o-ring 1/4x 3/8 x 1/16 thick.

If you have to push really hard to squonk with them.......... there is something wrong with air getting in!

Before I put the o ring in this place I had a constant leak as well. Then someone mentioned it.....I tried it , no more leaks and easy squonk .........should make the bottle last longer.

The cap touches the oring at the opposite end from the top of the cap.....if that makes sense!

@Walter Ego - May I ask how fine of a paper you use to polish your tumbled doors? Do the marks from the tumbler come out hard, and did you use any clear or wax on them after?
Thanks

Hmm, I put mine in the bottle cap, but I'll try around the neck. ! I think that when I put the subohm kit in this one I damaged the little squishy thingy inside LOL It did not want to stay down and kept popping up. So I don't think it ever seated properly!

@AmandaD - I thought i ruined mine too. The best way to make sure is to unscrew the center pin pop it out and reseat it with the head of the center pin. I bet it is fine. They are stronger than you think. I had a hard time seating mine at 1st. Then I watched the video on Robs website.

The head of the center pin works great and it was seated the 1st try. Just a thought.
But the o ring does not seal as well under the cap like the original bottles! I can't remember the guys name but it is toward the end of the ECF thread.

Give them both a try reseat with the center pin head , and the oring around the bottom.

EDIT; video for 510 adapter gasket install start at about 1:00 min in. if you dont want to watch it all.

I think you will like the results
good luck

Ah, I did three that day, and the mini was the only one that gave me fits - I had to call Rob LOL And I did see the video. Still I had a heck of a time getting the stupid thing seated. and I *think* it still leaks - it leaked with a regular bottle as well. I think it needs to go to the Rob Hospital for extra help, but I've been using my grand much more so I keep forgetting to take care of it!

Ok; sorry about that.;) For some reason my mini gave me a hard time as well! But I put a little vg on it and finally snapped in place. Maybe it tore the seal?

Well I tried! But your way ahead of me.:)

good luck!

OK, I guess I'm a little out of touch and was not aware you could have one re-milled. Can you tell me what it cost and what it does to the paint? Need to look into that larger bottle as well.

Katy; Rob is doing some work on a Grand for me, and part of that is milling a LP. Not sure of the cost for just that! However he did say that since it was already anodised, which I knew , that it would be shiny almost polished looking of metal on the top. Which he says looks nice!
Once you have your RDA on the top, depending on the diameter it will barley be noticable.
hope that helps.

The polished door on the TRA Grand I got as a Silver Anodized with the vintage Black Anodized from the ECF classifieds that has the brass engraved door. It was in pretty bad shape, I started with 220 grit and progressed through 2000 then finished with some Mothers polish. I haven't waxed or clear coated, when they get dull or finger printed I just hit them with some Mothers.:)

I believe Rob posted $20.00 to mill a catch cup to an LP. I was considering sending my TRA until I got a RM3 dual coil now there is no need, that little atty ROCKS.

@Walter Ego - Good info, I am sure some of this maybe repeated info so thanks! :D I am changing out the center pin on my atomic. Not a clone so if I want to change it back I can. I want to put the feed hole away from the deck so more juice stays in the atty. Similar to an A7 with a side hole, which I really like vaping on.

Does anyone have the new RM3 single coil? If so, is it any different/better/worse than the RM2?

Great to see so many of US here. :)

My Mini Me is the very best out and about device I have ever owned. If properly set up, the RM2 with it's small chamber is a flavor monster. Never leaks! Indestructible. Built like a tank. What's not to like!

Ironically, I have NEVER seen another REO in the wild and I'm in Vegas. Even experienced vapers in the real world face to face don't know what it is. To tell you the truth, I like that :)

That is a good question and almost asked the same thing this morning. ;)

I was assuming the differnce was 2 post for the single coil, and 3 for the double coil and that he just used the same pictures for both atty's?

However I don't know for sure. I would also like to know if the feed hole from the center post is up off the deck a bit so the deck can hold a little juice like if you where using it as a top dripper?

Maybe Walter can shed some light since he has the double?

Walter Ego

The only difference between single and dual coil RM3 is the number of air holes, both have 3 posts, the RM3 is a converted A6. I just ordered one from FT ($5.76) this will give me the option of one or two coils, if one coil then four possible coil locations. The feed/drain hole is right on the deck and it works well, which I like as I enjoy freshly squonked juice. I can't comment on the single coil but the dual is a beast, I'm running dual R41 at .6 ohms net and WOW!!

I'm more interested in the difference between the single coil RM2 and the single coil RM3 - flavor, vapor, ease of use, leaking, etc? I haven't decided if I want to go the dual coil route yet, but I can always use another single coil atty! I actually don't want more juice on the deck (to cook), so that's not an issue for me!

Thank you!

I must be the only person that likes something like the A7 where you don't have to squonk every other hit.

I got my mini brass engraved door in today. There will be no sandpaper required to polish that! I usd my leather knife strop with compound in the leather and that left very very fine scratches but it is highly polished.

The RM2 is hard to beat, vapor and flavor will be more dependent on the build than the atty. Ease of use is different as the RM3 top secures with O-rings and the RM2 screws on, someone found the RM3 top to be a bit loose but substituted 1mm O-rings that normally go under the atty to tighten it right up. I have had no issue with leaking unless I over squonk. I still like my RM2s a lot, the ceramic deck and the way it drains is awesome.

Well I finally did it.
I just purchased my first.
NOT that I need another mod of any sort but I have always been curious and I guess it's time to find out. I'll be reading here too. :p
Congratulations, but beware of the porcupine dust. What did you get?

Purple and brass :p

I don't think I really needed to ask that anyways.;) Enjoy!

The Brass door seems to add a just a tad bit more weight, making it seem even more solid.

Unless it is all in my head!

The reomizer and button will be brass. Guess I should have clarified.

I went in to one of my local B&M's with my black crinkle Grand and had myriad questions to answer, in the long run I just ended up pulling my tip off of my rm2 and let a few people try it out.

@Ld3441 - I was talking about your choice of color, I knid of figured you would have picked that..;) The other stuff was just a generic comments.
No Oop's needed.:D

@Sickboy - Did they give you any kind of feedback? I know I would have saved a lot of money and hassle if I had tried one. Just the money on desposables and cigalikes would have payed for one easily.

Either that or I would have had a larger collection;)

The general sentiment was wonder and amazement in having not heard of it sooner. I sent the guy behind the counter to Rob's website. I only hit the shop about once a month now that I mix my own juice, so next time I'm in I'll have to ask if anyone has picked one up, I have to show off my new SL too of course... mwahahahaha!

Some of these SL's might look nice with a fibre glass window screen on the inside. I was debating that the other day. It depends on the color and battery color, Sickboys Green looks good as is. I was looking on the REO Site and thinking it would make a nice stealth 2 way radio mod.

Hey, Cessnapix, you were absolutely right about the leaking coming from under the cap! I have a bunch of drip tip 'o'rings, and I put one of those on the bottle neck - no more leaks!! Thanks :)

@AmandaD -----Well I must say this! A lot of trashing about ECF goes on here, and I have done a little myself.

But there is also a lot of good information if you wade through the bullshit! You don't see it much in the REO forum though.

:)....MY point.....lol;
The credit goes to the ECF thread and I dont remember the guys name. I had the same leak until I put that oring on. It also gives you a very easy squonk.

I mean like a very easy squonk. When the bottle is full you just barley touch it and it will push juice up. If not there is air getting in somewhere or not tight enough!o_O

It is amassing a 15 cent pc of plastic can make us that happy isn't it....lol
Now that is when you know you bought the right mod!:D

@Walter Ego - I can't believe how great the Mothers wheel polish works on the brass door! Thanks for the tip!

Finally another A7 fan!
Not that I do not like the Rm2. I do like it but for certain situations. For an all day vape atty I would rather use the A7, for the moment. Vaping in bed or in the car The RM2.

I find with a side hole, and a few other modifications it is a great little atty for $12. It is built cheap and needs some TLC before use. Wire as washers under a post or maybe 2. Also some larger tygon tubing around the center post, with some wire wraped against the shoulder of the adjustable screw on the center post.

The way it is made the juice does not get sucked back into the bottle contaminating it. With the right build comming staight out the side next to the air hole ,instead of over the center hole, it has tons of vapor and flavor is excellent using readyxwick. The only down side is the length, and if you fall asleep with it you going to get a leak out the air hole.....lol. But you can vape on that thing for some time with out squonking.

For $15 shipped including tax and shipping from Pink Mule in spain. it showed up in less than a week and well worth a try. You do have to drill a side hole in the S.S. but i have done a couple with my dremel with no problems. With a half hour doing the modifications and cleaning it with dish soap and boiling it a few times it is well worth the time and effort IMO. Even with a build with the wick and wire provided right out of the box using the bottom air holes it is a satisfactory vape.

I run my A7 stock, only filed the center pin screw down slightly on the sides to fix the shorting issue.
The bottom air hole is perfect since I run a 1.5 -1.6 ohm micro coil with cotton.

I bought a Kayfun so I would use my Provari more....but the Kayfun is fiddly, and I get nothing like the flavor I do from my RM2. So, another one bites the dust LOL I have one cartotank dedicated to Tribecca that I use on the Provari - that's a pretty expensive vape!

Have you tried the readyxwick with the kayfun yet? I have always dripped. I have never used an RBA. The results i have had with Readyx have been great.

I think they are more for the kayfun type of use so if you haven't tried it already it may help a lot????

AmandaD

I have some, but I haven't tried it in the Kayfun! I've been using rayon, which if anything amplifies flavor. It just doesn't compare to the Reo so far, but I'll try the readywick. Might need to make a different size coil though - I probably have a 1/16 in there, which if I recall is slightly too small for my readywick.

I have no experience with a kayfun or ay other RBA so it was just a suggestion! I have read that the kayfuns are fininky as far as placement over the airhole and all that. I am sure you know better than I.

I was thinking more of a Genesis style tank rather than the kayfun when I mentioned it...sorry.... but it may help?
good luck

I do know you want a loose fit with the readyxWick, like you said. I use it in all my builds in the Rm2, A7, and the atomic, but not using that much laltey until modified.
