I have been playing with FA Spearmint for the wife and thought I would share my recipe. This was made for the wife to use in a Nautilus but I have been using it in a dripper as a nice pallet cleanser. In a dripper this is VERY IN YOUR FACE Spearmint. In the wifes tank it is much more mellow and about right for chilling out and relaxing.

IYF Spearmint

FA Spearmint 5%
FA Vanilla Classic 3%
TFA Cotton Candy 3%

Hope you enjoy this as much as I have.

Howdy peoples!
Haven't really played much with FA concentrates. Been mixing a little while, but mainly with CAP and a few others here and there.
Just bought me two HIC recipes though and looking forward to getting the ingredients.
Tiramisu Cream and Jamoca Almond Fudge on the way. Haven't tried any of the free recipes, but only heard great things, so thought I'd throw a little cash in the kitty HIC. Stinging to try these!

Something I am trying out.
FA Strawberry 1.5% (I think, it was an old bottle of 10% that was cut to around 3%, then cut in half again)
FA Vanilla Tahiti 0.5%

I love the Superman hat :) Hey, you should make Game Over hats! I would wear one. Normally, I think it's scandalous that huge corporations manage to charge people to do their advertising for them. Ex: Nike t-shirts. Etc. But I'd be happy to advertise for Mama J's for free.

I did those? I don't remember that, but they look like something I'd use in a recipe. If I were to use that last mini-recipe, I'd probably use Walnut or Nut Mix now (instead of Hazelnut), and I'd try to work around using plain acetyl pyrazine in general, by using flavorings that contain it.

LOL . . . thanks! My radar was on high alert in that butter rum discussion . . . did I mention how much I love butter? :D

Here's the Butter Rum Pudding. I bet you'll remember now!

FA Butterscotch .75%
FA Vienna Cream .75%
FA Rum .5%
FA Coconut .25%
Acetyl Pyrazine .25%

Thanks for posting these, Smokachino!

Since I've been recently messing around with AP I've noticed it's very, very distinctive. (I know, I'm really perceptive like that :)) Occasionally it's the absolute bees knees for what I'm doing, but often it just kind of gives the whole mix that sort of "AP flavor". I assume this is why you (HIC) say you try not to use it as much as ingredients containing it? Also I'm wondering, would you suggest 0.5% Cookie in the above recipe instead of AP? Ocne or twice I've successfully substituted a combo of FA Cookie and Apple Pie and/or AP for straight AP.

Ended up increasing the Vanilla Tahiti to 1% and tossed in 1% FA Cocoa as well.

Currently at
FA Strawberry 1.5%
FA Vanilla Tahiti 1%
FA Cocoa 1%

Has a nice strawberry cocoa taste

I've not tried it, but HIC has a recipe for cotton candy that only uses strawberry and joy.
Leads me to believe that joy is nothing but a sweetener. Or is just FAs version of cotton candy.

@zaroba I still haven't mixed with it, though it has a smell that I thought was unique to HS creams, + the vegetable oil smell of standing next to a funnel cake stand at the fair, + sweeeet. I've been looking for a way to add a diketone-free, non-distinct golden note like how TPA bavarian cream is used in commercial juice, hoping Joy is part of the solution.

With FA, Cookie, all the nut flavors, most tobaccos, and/or Apple Pie can all provide some acetyl pyrazine. If you don't like using it straight you can try any of those or combos of them. You'd need a few times as much to get the same effect, so it's a tradeoff and challenge to add flavors that go well with the rest of the recipe.

Oh, yeah! You need FA Cardamom, unless you can't stand ginger. If you're also getting FA Custard, you can try them out together:

HIC's Lemon-Cardamom Custard
2% FA Lemon Sicily
1% FA Custard
1% FA Cardamom
optional: 0.5% FA Bilberry OR 0.5% FA Coconut OR both!

If you've had authentic Indian chai or Scandinavian butter cookies, you'll recognize that bright-ginger-cinnamon flavor of Cardamom when you smell the bottle. It goes well with lots of fruits; Cardamom + Coconut is my personal favorite.
Have to mark this to make

If you've been using other brands' coffee flavorings, you're in for a real treat with FlavourArt.

Yea looks like I'm gonna be in for a treat with many of their flavours.
Just grabbed Baklava and Blueberry-Coconut-Smoothie from your site too.
Got quite a list of flavours to fill now. I'm travelling next month and won't be able to try these recipes out till early August, but I'll be sure to let you know what I think HIC. Regardless of my eventual conclusion, it's easy to see that you run a fantastic service, and I've learnt a lot just from reading your notes in the recipes and generously shared info on the forum. Much appreciated!

Traveling? You gotta to make those recipes now, or at least a week before you leave.
That way you'll have plenty of liquid for the trip and wont have to buy or make more while your gone :D

Yea I wish I could, but half of the flavours that I need aren't available on the Australian FA site so I'll need to order from overseas and I leave next Sunday. Sadly I'll have to wait till I get back late July. It will be nice to come back to some yummy vapes to help sooth the back to reality blues though :)

I LOVE butter rum, too (well, anything butter LOL), and was crushed when I found that butter flavors had the nasty stuff in them. I found HIC's Butterscotch Rum recipe, which may give you a good place to start. I'm not a super taster, so I doubled the recipe. It's good!

FA Butterscotch 1%
FA Vienna Cream 1%
FA Rum .5%
Acetyl Pyrazine .5%

Here's another Butter Rum recipe from Heabob here on VU:

FA Rum 3%
FA Butterscotch .5%
FA Caramel .5%
FA Coconut .5%

Finally, I believe HIC came up with this recipe for butter flavor. I haven't played around with it, but may try adding it to the recipes above. Extra butter, please! :D

FA Vienna Cream 1%
FA Caramel .25%
FA Coconut .25%
FA Hazelnut .25%
Acetyl Pyrazine .25%

I hope this helps!
Thanks for these mate, they look promising. Went over a couple of things with hic a few days ago for the butter rum and mixed up a batch of this:

Screenshot_2015-06-26-15-53-29.png

Waiting for it to steep a bit but it smells amazing.

Man o'man, this is delicious too. You know, I don't think I really believed all the HIC hype. I thought his recipes would be good but I had no idea how good. This is only the second I've tried and they've both been excellent. I've got two more to taste.

Exploring some flavors I've used maybe twice since I got them 6 months ago

Blackcurrant - 3%
Honey10 - 2% (.2% undiluted)
Almond - 1.5%
Brandy - 1%
Clove - .5%
Vanilla Bourbon - .5%

When the nut and spices and booze mix with the (to me, surprisingly) floral high notes, I feel like I should be in a leather armchair while vaping this. It's kind of screaming for apple to keep the floral centered in the fruit zone, though I'm just too burnt out on fuji to squeeze some in. Part of this adventure was looking for an odd fruit that would play nice with maple syrup, another largely unused flavor... may add some of that, almost tried ginger, inspired by this chart

Tasting slightly similar to the forest fruit 3%, fresh cream 2%, oba oba 1% play mix the other day, guessing there's blackcurrant in FF.

Screw it, just added 5d maple syrup to 30ml, impatience will be my undoing. Edit: hours later, the maple is a bit sharp, but the sweet body is interesting, new post after steep. (edit: maple + floral is a bad idea)

This maple is going in my next batch of ry4 @ .15%, where's this been all my life... as the taste bleeds into other juices in the same dripper, everything is intriguing, I'm a new fan

@lirruping I just blasted through my first 30ml of it, kindof a bummer because on the last day (4) some butterfat notes were coming through that were interesting. So I gotta mix it again and wait longer before modding the recipe... that choco+cocoa+oba+AP is really something,
maybe we could borrow the idea in some form for the diketone free custard thread\
<- This, yes! I have yet another batch now, part of which will get to age for a while

I haven't given up on that project, it's just using the bad flavors is so much easier, and failed diketone free custard mixes are usually demoted to weed killer

I feel you. I paced around last weekend shaking various mixtures of FA creams, custard and vanillas, muttering to myself: "They said it couldn't be done...they said to even attempt it would be an affront to God. THEY CALLED ME MAD!" Cue crazy laughter echoing--great plumes of white vapor obscure the view. Cut to me, sneaking to the bathroom to pour another fail in the sink.

Some of my grossest juices have been trying to make creamy-custardy flavors with just FA ecig line and other non- d/a/a concentrates. Not that I'm exactly giving up, either... just have to get over myself and my initial discouragement and revise my expectations.

Flavorists of FA, TPA, CAP etc haven't come up with a good d-a-a-free custard vape ... to hope to happen upon one in my own haphazard way feels arrogant, but hey I'm that kind of idiot! Even now I'm wondering about RY4D for the body missing from my failures. I would be ok with the illusion of custard in an uncharacteristically bold vape, which is what turns my d-a-a-free (and maybe butyrate free) custard wheels lately. When I actually get to mixing again I'll be sure to update on that thread. I think my taste buds need to remember actual custard, grocery shopping tomorrow? (threat)

PSA: adding maple syrup to that last recipe I posted was a fail. The fruity floral and sturdy nut body, with the high/mid strong maple resulted in a musky fish market thing I had no desire to salvage.

If you make a real baked custard from scratch you will be struck with how accurate FA's flavors actually are, and you'll start to question what those other brand "custards" actually are.
I agree. I think we're just so used to the boxed/prepackaged/bastardized versions of stuff here that we sometimes forget what the real thing tastes like.

I made Beef Stroganoff from scratch the other night for my nephews and they weren't that thrilled with it, because they were so used to my sister's version with the canned cream of mushroom and bottled brown gravy.

this may have been said before, but 216 pages is a bit much to search through

On their website they tell you if a flavor has DA in it. But what about the other thing I think its AP, do FA flavors contain that?

The only diketone FA has ever used in any of their flavorings is diacetyl. Those that still have it are marked with an inhalation warning. They have never used acetyl propionyl in any of their flavors (source: multiple discussions I've had with their chemists)

Submit a support ticket here: http://flavourart.hesk.com/?language=English Your question will be routed to the right person/department.
Keep in mind they're in Italy, so there's a time-zone issue. (Also remember their primary language is Italian, though contacts I've had have always been quite fluent in English.)

Out of nowhere...
1lg113astronaut.gif

I've been wanting a good CREAM CHEESE flavoring for a really long time (for mixing in cheesecake or with fruit). Just had the real thing, so craving it again.

I loved the one from Vapor Bomb, crazy accurate, but yikes, $5.95 + shipping for 10ml:eek:. Faeries Finest makes one too, but crazy flavor fade within just a couple of days. Also tried LA Cream Cheese Icing, but it's NOTHING like it. Plus not knowing what's in it, a little scary... Would love to see FA come up with one, or if anyone knows of a way to mix one up with FA stuff (like maybe with the new yogurt flavor?) please share.
