So it's summer time, i have to run my central air AND one of those standing air conditioner (tube connects to window).

So when my rda gets really hot, i place my box on the vent part of the AC to cool down a bit.

I've noticed the clouds get MASSIVE! I was wondering if anyone else did this?

Run a hot shower then take a hit with taking a selfie, much bigger clouds!

I read somewhere some one did that in their car with the AC vents, for some reason folks said it wasn't smart to do with the mods, not sure why, maybe the extreme hot/cold thing and the batteries??

Sudden hot cold changes will create sudden expansion or retraction. I know I have to worry about it a lot with solid wood acoustic instruments, and I guess in theory it could have detrimental effects to a mod. However, I'd be really surprised if anyone has actually done this and had something bad happen. I also doubt it would hurt the battery. First, they're in a tube or box, so they're given much more time to acclimate to the AC temperature even if held right in front of the vent. Second, if your batteries are getting hot enough that a sudden burst of AC is really that drastic of a temp change you are probably running something pretty unsafe anyway

Not too long ago, it was so humid here in Texas, all you had to was step outside and immediately things would fog up(glasses, phone screens). You could blow some seriously massive clouds in that.

No ac here (well, have central but it's broken)
Have a small fan on my desk that I use to keep an SATA drive dock cool when being used.
Sometimes sit my sigelei in front of that if it starts to get hot from chain vaping.

Ugh, humidity is worse than heat for me.
Over here in ca, it's one of the most humid summers i can remember, just disgusting these days.

its because you cooled it back down to its optimal operating range. batteries dont work well when theyre too hot or too cold. most batteries work best around 65-85 F. and as for rapid cooling your mod with a/c it most likely could damage the bat. lion batteries are freakin delicate lol so i wouldnt be surprised if it would mess it up.

Ah, i see, I have stopped cooling my vape lol

I'm assuming people in the Arctic circle probably shouldn't vape, being in sub temperatures that Make my AC look like a USB fan haha.

I would be worried about the cold air condensing inside the mod and causing moisture damage...

indeed very good point!! that could be a factor even more so with my current weather conditions. the air is very humid atm increasing the chance, if i were to cool the box off quickly. our boxes arent moisture proof and air tight so that humid air gets in there and super cooling your box will cool the case causing the moisture in that humid air to condensate continuously on the cold surface. image a cup of ice water on a warm sunny day imagine that inside your mod O.O. probably a good thing to do is coat the entire box's circuit with low temp hot glue or put one of those silica anti moisture packets (found in bags of beef jerky if you dont feel like ordering some or going to a good headshop) to keep moisture away from your delicates :)

Going from cold to hot in just a matter of seconds can't be good for your mod.
If I were to freeze glass then superheat it, it would shatter.
Same would go for your batteries I would think, maybe even ruin your RDA.

Repeated and drastic temperature change can also result in thermal expansion/contraction of the metal resulting in screws becoming loosened.

Everytime I build in my basment, which is cold, I heat the coils once after squeezing them and they glow evenly, after a few more pulses they glow unevenly. The heat literally loosens my post screws.

That happens all the time. Even after using a build for an hour or so. The heat makes the metal malleable and it constricts away from the screws. I normally have to go back and retighten them after using a mod a few times.
