Has anyone sucessfully updated their IPV4?

... The original model, not the new IPV4s. Has anyone successfully installed the firmware update? if so, please share instructions and a link... an early thanks...

There are several threads already, the update is on p4u website. I know a few ppl that have updated.

Piece of cake. Now, as soon as I get my new screen cover replacement from KMG and I remove the Balancing Board, I'll be all set...to start planning my next vape gear purchase.

i wonder if "TEST" means there will be another version coming... maybe with a lock option or settings that stay set.

Yeah, a version that actually fixes the issues with the shipping firmware would be nice but I'm not holding my breath.

Got my new screen cover to replace the mirrored one, removed the balancing board and performed the pseudo-upgrade.

BTW, unlike the videos I watched, I pulled the battery tray and just cut the wires flush with the IC board. No muss, no fuss. I'll never replace the charging board anyway. I just threw it away. Works like a charm. Easy-peasy. Close enough to an IPV4-S for me, but we shouldn't have to take up their slack. P4Y sucks.
