He's angling for pics of your rod. Don't fall for it.

Picked up a new to me Abu Garcia baitcaster earlier this week - I fish left handed bait casters, so I grab the deals when they're available.

For some reason this post is leaving me feeling a little exposed.
I picked up a Mudville Spincaster... I'm loving it so far...

I used 22g 7or8 wrap for around .2ohm... don't let the cotton touch the top of the airflow either to where it can leak off the cotton into the channel
First try was 24g kanthal 7 wraps was sposed to come out to .27ohmns but accidentally crossed the positive legs in the post and couldn't get em realigned (ohm checker said 0.05) and second try was .3ohms with 26g and same reading....wondering if it's my ohm checker crapping out

Try a sleeper coil... they're a pain in the ass to do, but well worth it... don't have to worry about crossed legs in the positive post and they both heat up evenly and at the same time this way...

What is your vision for this? Have you mapped out how you want to present this... Is it just stories or what view will you take on this. It could go in so many directions , maybe if we knew what your vision is we could help... Just my thoughts.... Just wondering why you picked our thread to present this....

Sent from my Momabear headquarters...

My visit for this film is quite simple really. I just want to interview as many Vapers as possible, from all walks of life. I have my Masters in Sociology and currently work at my family's restaurant where I also occasionally write articles for VAPE News Magazine. I'm absolutely appalled by the mainstream media's reporting on junk science reports, most likely funded by Big Tobacco and Big Pharma, which basically portray Vaping as extremely dangerous. It's all nonsense but this nonsense literally influences public opinion. My vision for this film however is to not at all get political about Vaping, I want to just interview Vapers about Vaping and what it means to them, what they think of it, why they started, what they use and how often they vape. Altogether, their "Vaper" history and overall stories regarding becoming a part of this cultural phenomenon. I used to smoke for 15 years and as a smoker, I always thought eCigs and Vaping were lame. That was of course until I tried Mods and good quality VapePens. I'm 32 and haven't smoked in two years and have no desire to whatsoever. So, that being said, I wholeheartedly believe in the art of Vaping and my vision for this film is to allow viewers to see how Vapers are ordinary people, more often than not, people who are our loved ones. My theory is that once people visually see for themselves who Vapers truly are, they'll eventually realize we are also their neighbors, friends and family. Thus, in hindsight, I believe this film will put a human face on Vaping and open more minds about the issue. Hopefully changing at least one mind, allowing more acceptance and approval of Vaping amongst society. Basically, I'm real tired of all this anti-Vaping propaganda backed by junk science being published. We've let Big Business turn Vaping into a controversial social issue which legislators wish to regulate. As a Vaping Sociologist myself, I cannot sit back and do nothing. VAPERS UNITE!

Ok, I have a hard question I would like you to seriously try to answer. Why are folks going to watch your film? Right now, it sounds to me like you need this to be your "Film of Dreams," and that if you film it - "they" will watch. In my cynical little world, "they" only get the sensationalized messages that reporters present to plot their own rises to reporting stardom. A, current, real world example of this played out recently in Waco, Texas where 9 bikers were killed and more than 170 were jailed after a sensationalized tragedy. I will wager that I'm the only regular in this group that has any clue what actually happened or any conception of what is still going on in the wake of this tragedy. The sensational part is over and now layers of truth are being dissected from the webs of fiction which produced the sensationalism. But, as a biker and a Texas resident, I feel the fallout differently. I understand what drives me to continue seeking current information, but I also understand why the current information is unlikely to be interesting to the rest of this group.

How are you going to get your film in front of the audience at-large? Violence, sex, nudity, drama and killer action sequences might be included to stretch our simplified attention spans, but I don't think you are taking that direction. I know how Steven Spielberg got the world to watch Schindler's List in 1993; how are you going to get the world to watch your film in 2015?

I apologize if you feel I'm being overly harsh. My education and much of my career were focused on marketing. You sir have two problems - one is creative and the second is marketing. Success requires you tackle both. Alternatively, your view of success needs to be refocused to value the personal satisfaction you will receive from completing this project which you will bury in a time capsule for future humans to find and learn about the Vaping debate of the 2010 era.

Your feedback was great. I really appreciate all your criticisms and concern for how this project is even going to work or if it can even work. However this is the pre- pre-production stage and a lot of it is a learning process in itself so right now I don't have all the answers. All I can tell you is this: I live in Denver and there are vape shops on almost every corner so I've already gotten a lot of support and commitments from people who work in the Vaping industry and Vapers from the community, but you're right I'm not being realistic in my endeavors. Then again who said filmmaking aspirations are meant to be realistic, films are stories with a message, that's all. I took a lot of courses in graduate school on filmmaking and I learned that everybody has a story and all of them are worth telling. My target audience is everyone of course. not just Vapers but perhaps their family members who don't understand Vaping to begin with. I'm in the very beginning of this project so I don't even have really a lot of things put together and ready to go. I still have to raise funds, I still have to get the word out there which is what I'm trying to do right now I didn't expect an interrogation about this but it was more so just me trying to get the word out about the film to see if people would be interested or if they have any advice and you certainly have plenty of advice and I appreciated a great deal...in reality I'm being much too optimistic but at the same time that's all you can be when you're making a film because if you don't believe in it and if you're not positive you're never going to succeed and sure I can be cynical too but when it comes to something I'm passionate about, personal cynicism & a negative attitude can not enter my filmmaking oasis. I know that may seem or sound naïve but all I'm saying is you can only doubt yourself so much and of course I'm going to have doubts during this entire process...a number of doubts but those doubts and their resolution will be fueled by a positive attitude and an optimistic nature of viewing success. When it comes to social issues and the future and the current days we live in, I can be very very critical and cynical about what is happening in the world around us. When it comes to writing & filmmaking, those are the only places where I can be so confident and positive optimistic and hopeful that it's literally intoxicating...so I think you were trying to say that i'm not prepared, but this right now is part of my preparation process: reaching out to the Vape community so you're right I'm not prepared right now but in a couple months I sure as hell will be exceeding my expectations. OK and just to clear some things up I do not expect to win an Oscar for something like this I do not expect to win any film festival I just want to help change at least one mind and view Vaping as harm reduction and beneficial for public health. I believe there needs to be a more humanistic approach taken when we discuss VAPING in social settings at the same time I think the health benefits need to be addressed in the overall discussion across America. Anti Vaping propaganda is conquering the Internet with lies. Perhaps if we stop for a moment and decrease all of the comments about how cool Vaping is and how great it tastes, I think we need to put more of a human face on it...thus, with hopeful optimism, allowing those non Vapers to see we are all just human beings too, who are indeed their fellow neighbors, courageous soldiers, teachers, health professionals, business owners, athletes, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers..the list could go on forever. For example, Once non believers came to the realization that word removed smokers are our relatives and loved ones, then they approved and I think the same thing could be done for Vapers. I still need to prepare much more, yet I am still very hopeful optimistic and excited to begin shooting footage and editing the film shot for this project. Thanks for all your feedback I really appreciate your involvement in helping move this process along smoothly.

Thanks again!
