The enclosed recipe contains Acetoin

Been awhile since I've been around these parts. Been super slammed the last few months and things are finally settling in to a normal pace. I've had trouble keeping up with just my activities on Reddit nonetheless just trying to respond to PM's here and maintain vendor status on ECF.

Anyways, I wanted to share a recipe with y'all that I posted a couple weeks ago on Reddit now that it has received widespread positive feedback.

The inspiration for this recipe was originally drawn from Bombies 'nana Cream and the many attempts at cloning that recipe. See here and here.

I decided I was a fan of this Banana Cream style of vape (namely Banana Cream, Strawberry and a hidden underlying element). After playing with more than 13 Banana flavor concentrates, a mixture of creams and a handful of back elements, I was finally able to devise the recipe I was looking for.

Ladies and gentlemen, please enjoy GGG's Ba'nana Cream.

7% TFA Strawberry
6% TFA Banana Cream
1.5% FA Fresh Cream (Cream Fresh)
1% TFA Jackfruit
0.7% HS Banana (Hangsen)
0.3% TFA Kiwi Double
0.5% Citric Acid (10%)
1% TFA Sweetener

TFA Strawberry - Sweet well rounded strawberry flavor, can't be substituted as CAP Sweet Strawberry contains too much alcohol and not enough ripeness, and FA Strawberry doesn't contain enough ethyl maltol in the mix. I suppose you could try FA Strawberry at 5-6% and add 0.5% Ethyl Maltol (10%) but that's just more effort...

TFA Banana Cream - Nothing else quite like it in the Banana Cream category, I LOVE LorAnn's Banana Cream (think Banana flavored Jello Pudding), but it simply wasn't the banana profile I wanted for this

FA Fresh Cream - Might be able to sub with 3% TFA Whipped Cream instead although I'd stick to the FA Fresh Cream if you have it available.

TFA Jackfruit - There is no substitute for this Apple, Pineapple, Banana flavor combination that is TFA Jackfruit

HS Banana - This is one of the key ingredients that when mixed with the rest of the flavors, provides a truly unique banana flavor you likely haven't tasted anywhere else

TFA Kiwi Double - Lends a musty note when combined with TFA Jackfruit that further accentuates the uniqueness of the banana flavor profile. Helps to meld all the other ingredients together as well.

Citric Acid - Adds a bit of mouthfeel and draws the strawberry flavor into line with the rest of the juice
Sweetener - Self explanatory, I prefer it in there, although you are most certainly welcome to try it without.

Any questions, feel free to ask away!

7% TFA Strawberry

I'd love to try this as it looks like a very nice recipe. I'd have to get Jackfruit and the HS Banana, but my main issue is the TFA Strawberry. For some reason that flavor tastes like strawberry seeds and a little bit of strawberry skin soaked in PG and used as a flavor. I've seen in a couple of other posts here and there where at least a couple other people get the same taste as me with that strawberry. It's the reason I can't vape Fizz's Mustard Milk which is actually the first recipe that I used TFA Strawberry in :( I would definitely have to go the FA or some other strawberry route. Sucks...

I have definitely heard that before about TFA Strawberry.

I'm not sure what to tell you on the strawberry front as I have major difficulties tasting strawberry at all in a vape (makes me very sad) so the development of this flavor required a lot of feedback as I went. You can certainly try replacing the Strawberry with FA @ 5-6% and add a little ethyl maltol to make up for what you are losing from TFA's strawberry and see how it blends together.

The good news is that HS Banana is back in stock @ BCV (it was sold out for 2 weeks after I made this recipe public on Reddit) lol.

Good....I was planning on placing an order for that, the jackfruit and a couple of other things I need :)

It's nice to see you back. I wish I liked bananas. I will have to check with the SIL to see if she likes a banana vape. Thanks for the recipe tho.
Thank you, I'm glad to finally have a little bit of time to participate over here again.

The banana flavor here is wildly different than any other banana you may have vaped in the past. I don't know if you hate bananas in general, or just banana vapes, but this stuff is yum yum =)

Too bad Jackfruit, Kiwi, and Strawberry are all outa stock at BCV lol.

I ordered the jackfruit and hs banana yesterday, and thought I had the kiwi double, but only had regular kiwi. Went back to add that to my order and they had none

On the TFA web site they don't even have regular kiwi listed anymore. Just kiwi double describing it as extra strong. I wonder if I can just 'double' my regular kiwi :D

As @Waseem Telfah suggested you can order them both from Nude Nicotine. You can also get the sweetener direct from TFA.

I source the citric acid locally in powder form. $7 for a one pound bag, enough to last a lifetime. Then dilute 1g in 9g of PG.

No link, just a local home brew shop. You can find it at most health food stores and canning stores as well (just make sure it's pure citric acid, no other crap).

How else can we dilute if grams isn't an option? I don't have a scale basically.

It's a 1/4 tsp to 9 ml of pg shake well
Correct, and by shake well that means shake for an hour (mix 10ml in a 15ml or larger bottle). Make sure the crystals are fully dissolved.

Unfortunately, it is out of stock again. I looked up Hangsen to see if they had any other US suppliers, and Caterpillar was listed. Those liquids they have on that site are not DIY flavors though, they are pre-mixed. Looks like I will be stalking the site @ BCV, lol.

Also, I have Strawberry (Ripe) from TPA. I have an order going in today for more TPA flavors, so I will likely pick up regular Strawberry, but I was thinking, I might try ripe in a second batch. I dig the "biting into a fresh strawberry" flavor. Anyone have experience with both flavors? Is there really that much difference between the two? I assume there is, but I am just starting out, and acquiring the discernible tongue :)

@cloudy_judgement www.buyhangsen.com should have it in stock as well.

Definitely a major difference in the srawberries, ripe won't work very well.in this mix, at least it didn't for my testing group.

Thanks @Botboy141 !! They do have it in stock, and at a really great price (time to stock up if you're running low.)

Also, thanks for the tip. This recipe will actually be for my GF who is a strawberry connoisseur. I better get it right :D Good to know of the differences. I am still working on a good way of tasting the flavors without having to mix a bottle of juice. I was thinking about whipped cream, but I am afraid the whipped cream would muddle the flavor. Perhaps a shot of distilled water, with a drop or two of concentrate.

I picked up 200ml from them last week (only a little more expensive than Hangsen directly and much much faster).

Whipped cream actually works really if you typically mix max VG as the sweetness of the whipped cream resembles that of the VG.

If you are doing water instead, I actually recommend adding a drop of TFA Sweetener diluted down to 10% to mimic the VG.

Thanks for the recipe. I got my citric acid from amazon and heat half a teaspoon with a few cups of water every other month to make my hot water kettle sparkling new again :) Useful stuff.

Sigh. I love BCV, seriously love them, but they really need to adopt a new method of maintaining inventory. I have an awesome solution to it but it's more work for them and requires more operating cash.

Wish I could find someone willing to take a flyer with $500k and I'd turn this mom and pop DIY supply market into something seriously awesome.

Thanks Botboy. Glad I am not riding the crazy train in my thoughts on HNG banana. By itself I think it's god aweful but it gives other banana flavors a certain je ne sais quoi. Been diddling around with it & FA in a Banana Pudding vape I've been working on for awhile now. Going to try this above one out on the next order I make for flavors (missing a couple in this) and definitely will look at the LA flavor for a southern style 'naner puddin'. Good information. Thanks again.

How does LA sour & tart (citric & malic) compare to straight citric acid 10% in terms of strength?

How does FA Kiwi compare to TFA Double Kiwi (never used the TFA before)?

TFA Double Kiwi is a little more candy like than FA. That being said in this particular recipe they should be close to interchangeable.

I avoid Malic Acid like the plague due to its flavor muting properties after a steep. Citric acid improves mouthfeel like tart & sour does, and helps fruits to pop, but without the flavor muting long term.
