The charging capabilities and port were advertised well before the device came out.

It is def a limitation. I'm not saying it isnt but I dont recall them ever advertising USB charging support.

I have a lot of vape gear so please don't judge me when I say my preferred go to has been a Smok M80 with a silicone sleeve. Its small, powerful enough, long battery life, and rechargeable via usb. The usb broke last week and now it's useless. Perhaps P4Y used this charger to avoid problems with a usb charge port.

I'm judging. Lol

May have been a real estate issue or cost. Who knows why these companies do what they do.

They will need to do another IPV4 bait and switch and release the IPV D3 in 3 months lmao.

I got the sig 75 on Friday and have been very happy with it. Well today I went and picked up the D2 mainly because out of the blue my gf who has shown no interest in tc suddenly started taking my sig and reluctant to put it down. So I grabbed the D2 so I can do a comparison on my opinion of the two. I expect she will get the D2 with Arctic tank (I picked that up to get her away from flavorless Atlantis )and I will get my sig back lolol. I will let you know my thoughts on the two

My only issue with the charge port is no upgrade port. I really hate micro USB anyway. Old eyes don't get along with it.
Isn't there an adapter? Get one and stick it in your wallet, glove compartment or something else that's always with you.

Looks like I get a day with the battery. I didn't use it exclusively but pretty heavy, plus I tried 570° and other higher temperatures than my normal to make up for lack of use.

I was at a B&M this weekend and they said it comes in the box. I also ordered from Wake and Bake.

I think Wake & Vape added it to the list after I ordered, I don't recall it there but it was there last time I looked. Maybe they found out it was included.

It happens. Turn it over and sell it if its a problem. I ordered one cause it was $45 lol. I don't expect much to be honest. I carry a pack to work everyday so if I need to take a cable it's all good.

They actually pack up over the weekend and ship on Monday I believe. I know they were working because I had customer service email correspondence with Diane Sunday afternoon.

Don't bank on an included Sili sleeve. Really, don't. Some get'm, some don't. Mine landed without one. Luckily, I wouldn't have used it anyway so I don't feel violated.

Been playing with it since Saturday and the TC has worked plenty good. I can't speak to Ni200, but the Ti1 support is meeting my expectations. It does chew and spit batteries, but I'm a heavy vaper so I'm not surprised. It looks good, feels good and vapes well. $49 well spent.

ug your making me nervous with the sleeve. and USPS tracking is sucking today for me which is odd.
But the rest of your comment is exactly what I am hoping for.

Mine came from Wake and vape today. I ordered on Friday and I'm in Boston, very impressive. Mine came with a silicone sleeve, a carbon fiber wrap which is nice, and the vape sock is actually pretty cool as well. I really like this thing! The form factor is fantastic and its very small with my Super Tank mini on it. I'm a happy guy today. Enjoy!

well mine made it here today.

Silicone sleeve was already on it. SO far the only thing i dislike is changing temp. It takes a second or 2 to start moving then it goes so damn fast. Other then that I am a happy camper. This is pretty much exactly what I hoped for.

Yep, I'm happy. The D2 with a tst mini is very nice. There is nothing more portable, and there isn't a subtank I prefer more than the Tobeco Super Tanks. And for the record, the mini's flavor and vapor are just as good as the OG.

yes this is a nice mod. Now granted i only owned istick 30s and egos. But its seems sturdy and well built. Does what it suppose to and is so damn compact.

Now i just have to figure out TC and figure out if I like it or not. Figure out what Joules and temp work for me etc. But I am having a blast. I never wanted a big box mod. This is just the right size for me. I dont think I could be happier with a mod

I've got a couple of 5 foot charging cords en route. $4.59 for the pair shipped from the US on the Bay. I likely won't use the charge cord much but the one that came with it would require a gangsta lean while driving for me. Toss one in the console for emergency use.

I'm pretty sure these are going to do the job. I was going to hold off on the link until I verified they were good when they showed up. But here you go. My old eyes were tricking me. They are 4 footers.

Edit: Shipped Mon arrived Wed. Confirmed working fine. No ducking to vape with these.

Just to put this out there. The minimum voltage output in wattage mode is 3.6V. For those with .5ohm Subtanks, Isubs etc. who might find it hits harder than they would like no matter what wattage you dial up there is a workaround. The manual says maximum resistance in Joules mode is .3ohm. Not so. You can use your .5 kanthal coil in Joules mode. It's not going to do any kind of TC but you can take advantage of the 1V-7V output in Joules mode and by adjusting Joules, after setting the resistance, it will go from nearly no output to hitting as hard as I cared to try.

Rhyno are you using the super tank with the nickel coils or the regular coils?

I've been using the .5 regular coils at 45 - 50 watts for the past 2 months and could not be happier. Trust me, I'm a critical vaper. These tanks and coils beat the bag out of every other setup I've used and I've used many.

@Rhyno636, about how many mls are you putting through the coils before they go bad? (sorry for slight derailment)

Well, sometimes as little as 30, but others as much as 100. I'd say the average is about 50 mls which is plenty as far as I'm concerned. I use a bunch of different juices but almost always 1 flavor per coil. They are all 70+% VG and all seem to work similarly. Clearer juices do seem to be best, but I've had dark juices last quite a while as well. That's a tough question to answer honestly. I don't know if the coil life is more dependent on my juices, my vaping frequency, my break in procedures, or if it's just luck of the draw when I buy coils, but it does fluctuate drastically. As long as I get 30mls or 3 days at least, I'm satisfied. That being said, I'm on week 2 with my current coil using a dark and sweet juice. (ITC Vapes - Lemon Bar 70/30) and I use about 10mls a day.

thats not bad, about what i get on my kanger with the new vertical coils. How long do your coils last is a terrible question, kinda like how long do the batteries last lol, too many variables between peoples habits to really get a great answer that will be the same for 2 different people
Thanks for the great answer 8)

So you're not using the TC on the D2? By the way, I also go through almost 50ml per coil. My juice is max vg. I love this tank.

Nope, I have yet to try temp control. I'm in no rush since I'm happy as is. I've been fucking around and wasting so much time and money with vaping that I really don't care to add another variable to the mix. Its still better than cigarettes though. Its been 18 months!

well this is my first TC device, so I have nothing to compare it too.
All I can tell you is i threw the ni200 coils in my subtank and it tasted about right, there was some odd taste at first, but it went away.
Then I built a Ti coil on the subtank RBA. Taste is about the same as the stock occ coils. MAYBE....MAYBE a bit more flavorful. With the Ti coil build, I vaped the tank BONE DRY which is awesome for changing flavors. And no dry hits or burnt taste ever. The vape tasted the same from the first hit to the last, the vape tasted consistent no matter how short or long the draw was. TBH I was hoping for something magical in taste with TC, but no luck. But Im still pleased with my purchase. The added consistency and ability to vape the tank bone dry is a plus for me.

I was able to find the magic with flavors in V/W. The consistency and no burn no matter how stupid I get is the TC magic for me.

First person to post a pic of a derringer on an ipv d2 gets a cookie.
Shit, I had one on my D2 today to troubleshoot TC and didn't snap a pic. I bet I still get that cookie since I owns the Derringer (we don't have to talk about the fact that I don't have any Ti wire to build on it with yet). Still fires in Power Mode. :)

Wake & Vape is sold out BTW. I think they say they're hoping for the 15th.
Whew! I ordered on Friday and (like Rhyno) got mine on Monday (in NC).

With deference to those who are satisfied with this thing...
Mine just rolled in and after an hour, my impressions are not that great... The size and the spring loaded 510 are it's best features. The design and fit of the condom is the best I've seen... ever.

The build quality is... okaay but the D2 is a cheap cheap CHEAPly "engineered" mod... A few examples...

The negative batt contact is a ridiculous piece of bent sheet steel with a little spring crammed inside it.
Looks like it'll last about 6 months before the tab snaps off.

The charging port absolutely sucks.

They eliminated the micro usb and elected to use one of those little "pin"connectors from the 1990s to charge it.
... So in practical terms there is no charging capability, cause yer never gonna have that wire when you need it.
This is a seriously stupid design choice. I never would have even ordered it if I had known.

Even the TC portion of the Yihi chip is a question...
Calibrate it to a .2 tank and press the button. The resistance on the display moves up! WTF?
Then when you fire it again, it's reading .28... Next hit it's at .36 ohms. This is completely useless display information.
Just show me the resistance of the freakin' atty! willya?!
After a half dozen hits the resistance has drifted alla' way to .5 ohms. Once set, the resistance should be locked...
and not be skittering around indicating the real time temp compensated resistance. I consider this a defect in the chip design.
Also, the adjustment moves too fast IMO.

The timing of the 'brightened display' is completely foobulated. It brightens the display only when you're firing the mod,
and goes back to dim when you're actually looking at and adjusting the mod. Yeah, picky I know, but nonetheless, that's an embedded chip error.

Is it worth 50 bucks? I dunno, but I'm not too impressed...

How much you want for it? PM me. I have yet to get TC to work correctly (my fault, not the D2's) and I'd still buy another one right now.

I'm new to TC but my understanding is that once the resistance is locked, it's locked. They chose to display the temperature-compensated resistance which I think is kind of cool but, again, I'm super-new to TC. I'll learn. When I wonder what the actual physical resistance of the coil is, I just read the print on the side of the coil or stick it on an ohmmeter.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to agree with @Rhyno636 about the Super Tanks. My mini came in yesterday. It and the OG Super Tank are absolute beasts. He's had a lot more gear than me but I know for sure that they beat the balls off of the Atlantis and Arctic in every way. My Super Tank coils have been lasting a long time too. Weeks. I rotate tanks and RDAs a lot but I'm guessing 50 ml per coil easily. Maybe more. I vape a lot of sweet but not super dark juices. I use FA Oak and Vanilla Classic regularly but none of my finished mixes are dark brown.

I'm gonna keep it. 50 bucks worth all day.

Re your SuperTank opinion... Are you a direct lung hitter or MTL? And what's an OG SuperTank?
There is the Super Tank (OG in my slang) and the Mini Super Tank. I'm a lung hitter. You could never MTL a Super Tank but you could on the Mini. The Super Tank only has 2 AFC settings, huge and gaping huge. Great for lung hitters and high wattage vapers. The Mini has 2 huge holes that you can close off by small clicks down to almost nothing.

Oh shit. I was just thinking about how much better the AFC is on the Mini when I realized you could probably swap the tall top onto the Mini base if you wanted a lot of capacity but a tighter draw. In my case that could be good for road trips when I want to TC (which I've heard generally uses a tighter draw).

I only use nickel and titanium so yes I have :) vapes great just like any other yihi board mod.

I want to buy some wire to TC on my derringer. Should I get Ni or Ti? I like the idea of Ti MUCH better bc I've read some of the scare stories on Nickel. What's the difference, vape wise?

Titanium is easier to build and contact coils work with ti01. But I feel it isn't as accurate. Nickel is more accurate when it comes to controlled temp

Why do you think it's less accurate? Interested, because I've converted most of my atties over to Ti. I do find I use it on ni200 mode rather than ti mode though, because the ti mode on my sx mini doesn't seem as consistent as the ni mode.

Not sure how to explain but nickel when heated rises its more liner like .0006 per °c or something like that while titanium is much higher and is less of a change.

Interesting. I wonder if Pbusardo has a review video testing both in a mod.
If it isn't it's not enough for me to notice at my temperatures.

Yes and no. Ti01 acually has the more linear temperature v. resistance curve (~.0035 in the range where we vape). However, Ni200, even with a less linear resistance v. temperature response, can be more accurate because there is more resistance change as compared to temperature change (~.006 in the range where we vape).
