Well first its after hours which most children or under age individuals shouldnt be watching, 2nd it does notify you that its adult only and must be over the age of at least 18. 3rd Any time I have watched, an occasional cuss word comes out but to some it comes as second nature. Not everyone feels they need to be proper 24/7..... 4th Its not a doctors appointment or a court house, its a show about vaping and right now most vapers are fighting an uphill battle with the FDA and most likely had a somewhat bad day at one point or another. 5th We are a community, We are one, we do not judge and we feel free to be comfortable with each, comfortable enough to let out those words we are not allowed to use throughout the day because people like you become uneasy when you hear the word F**k....... Sorry! And You want to talk about socially backwards? They say those who swear more then others are most likely to be more social then those who hold back due to feeling unacceptable by the other person. Social People are not afraid to speak their mind and say Fuck! Its those that create a thread already assuming people will castigate you for your opinion when in fact the only reason you wrote that was So people would agree with You! Well sorry hun not this girl! All I see is someone who cant think of anything important enough to write, so instead you write about things that make you feel uncomfortable! Get a councilor hun! Sorry if this was to harsh, I tell em like I see em!!!
Wow, maybe you could get a councilor and if the anger management you need goes well you could recommend him/her to kelli. Might be a good idea to remember that Kelli is a member of that community as well that you claim doesn't judge but the rest of this rant was total judgement of Kelli and at that point just became ridiculously hilarious to me, but in the age we live in hypocrisy is pretty much the norm.

Kelli has her thing, you have yours, if you truly believe we are a community to need to be accepting of more points of view than your own and not reach a low of insinuating that someone is antisocial because they don't speak or have a mind to use fuck as a noun, pronoun, adjective, verb etc., etc.Who says those who swear more are more social? I can speak my mind and never use the word fuck or use it when I want. I've never heard of having to say fuck to be social, be a social person or have to use it when I speak my mind openly. Can you tell me where you got that Idea? .... could say a lot more, but hope you get my point. Kelli never asked anyone to stop or speak as she wishes they would, she just said it bothered her it was used as much as it is and didn't request it not be used at all. IF you indeed "tell'em like you see'em you should be open to allowing others to do the same and that would also include Kelli doing so without insinuating she's antisocial, in need of psychiatric help, doesn't feel important enough and she certainly didn't deserve your attempt to cyberbully her for doing as you do and telling 'em like she see 'em. If you take that right then you need to give it as well.

Oh Melanie Motta you are soo misinformed. I see you only joined Saturday, so it's understandable that you can't see we're just having fun here. So loosen up ..hun. Don't be so uptight.

You really missed the mark. However! If you really do have anything important to say I'm sure all of us here at vaping underground are going to be all ears watching and waiting patiently for what you have to share.

Everyone, well nearly everyone, replied with a laugh and joke response. Go have a browse around vu for a while and learn a little about the community spirit of vu. No doubt your answer is you've been here for a long time and have only got round to making a profile, right? ;) Kelli isn't half as insecure to write the kind of post that I just read from you. And I think that I also am not new.

minor rant.....

first, please know i am far from a prude. i use curse words on occasion when i get pissed about something. but i have noticed that in most of the vape shows i have watched, it's nothing but fucking this and fucking that. do vapers as a rule talk like this? or is it just because they are doing an online show, they are "showing off"?

to me it gets tiresome. i mean, cursing to make a point is fine, but using it prolifically in normal conversation sounds crude and socially backwards. i am not offended by it, but to be honest i am embarrassed for the ones doing it.

i am sure to be castigated for my opinion on this, but i just tell things like i see them. sorry.

Hi @kelli ... Right now, I'm a cohost on three vape shows each week, and I agree with you. I'll be the first to admit that in correct circumstances (adult only venues) there's a time and a place for a well-chosen expletive, and accordingly, I exercise the option to use one occasionally as I see fit. However, I don't think that time or place is every third word, if for no better reason than that it sounds silly and as others have observed can make you sound much stupider than you probably are.

... All I see is someone who cant think of anything important enough to write, so instead you write about things that make you feel uncomfortable! Get a councilor hun! Sorry if this was to harsh, I tell em like I see em!!!....

Hi @Melanie Motta , as @Hobby Kid so eloquently put it, I think you might have missed the spirit of the original post. I read no particular discomfort or disdain for those who use such language, just with the tendancy to litter one's speech with it so that shows up multiple times in every statement. My personal take is that if one chooses to use expletives in their speech, it should be used effectively as a verbal underlining or bolding of whatever idea is expressed, and not become excessive and distracting highlighting over the whole commentary. However, while I whole-heartedly disagree with your assessment of what the OP was trying to say, I will defend your right to state your opinion in the open forum.

I have noticed younger people use the word "like" then as soon as they hit high school they replace it with "fuck".
Most after college replace "fuck" with meaningful conversation.

Example:

Middle School:
"Like, this is like the coolest show on the whole network. I like, would love to like be on the set and like meet those guys"

High School, College:
"Fuck, this is the fucking coolest show on the whole network. I would fucking love to be on the fucking set and like meet those guys"

Adult:

I don't even like TV, lets fuck instead!!! :D

Well thank you very much for defending my right to my opinion, and most of what I said was exactly that, (an opinion). But I watch the show every week and never once did I notice an extreme amount of vulgarity. Not every two people are the same and yes we all speak differently and have different opinions. But And I say this as kindly as possible, I have 3 children and I teach them to speak for themselves and to be respectful but don't ever let anyone put you down because you are different or speak differently, The fact is, this thread was created because someone doesn't like swearing as a form of communication or self expression. They speak a certain way and that is part of who they are. No one should tell them to change because they dont like it. If You dont like it, dont watch! I am not saying this to be mean, In fact its the opposite. I just think there are bigger problems out there and bringing discrimination by categorizing all vapers as potty mouths is pointless. But thank you for your opinion, its always welcome! Doesnt mean I agree! And BTW, I know college graduates that swear left and right, doesnt mean they are stupid!

i didn't want to get into a thing with you about this, but i am in a pissy mood anyway so why the hell not? :p

you are trying to portray me as some sort of self-righteous goody two shoes who has no tolerance for any kind of vulgar language. for one thing, i never said that. i also did not include ALL vapers in the cursing arena. (tho judging from this thread, a good number practice really proficient cursing ;) )

i was basically poking a little fun at vaper joe and some others who use "fucking" as a common adjective. i am half serious tho, when i say that it does get a bit tedious hearing it every other sentence. somewhere along the line, it loses any impact or shock value it ever had. but i am not "offended" by it, as you seem to think. i am just annoyed by it if anything......the same way i am annoyed by people who overuse the word "like" or say "you know what i'm saying?" after ever sentence. there are thousands of really good, descriptive adjectives in the english language. i would like to hear them occasionally instead of "fucking this" and "fucking that".

and while i am on a roll....you have no clue as to the dynamic of this thread or even of this forum. so it's difficult for you to come in fresh and be able to read people's intentions or personalities. you jumped my shit for some reason, and i let it slide for awhile. but then i mistakenly came back to this thread and you pissed me off. so i had to say something. so i did. have a good day.

I have to agree with you @kelli I'm not a huge fan of the excessive cursing. Sure it occasionally helps to drive home a point with emphasis, but I really don't like when people talk like "f'ing this and f'ing that.. f f f". I try to keep all cursing out of my content, but I get why others do. Heck you would be hard pressed to see me even type a curse here. It doesn't offend me when people do, but it does get a bit annoying when they get used as adjectives and nouns in the same sentence.

Ok. This is the thing. There's a stereotypical emphasis placed on vapers - and I think Totally Wicked's marketing model sums it up - that we're all rebellious anti-authority drug taking criminals. And that if you don't "sync with the fraternity" you aren't playing ball.

i understand your point. mr. and mrs. middle class joe blow american (or britton) would probably not appreciate so much adult language. many vapers on youtube appeal to the anti-establishment, counter culture, outlaw biker type sensibilities. or maybe that's who they mean to appeal to, who knows?

and why do they call it adult language when in reality it's kind of juvenile? :p

I get it Kelli, you would prefer folks to be someone other that what they really are because it fits your little world so much better. How 'bout you let folks just be folks... who they really are? When I watch Mod Envy (as an example of Vaper Joe) I feel they are just being themselves talking vape stuff and pimping products. I feel they would talk the same if they were in a room together and not on Nova. That's who I want to see, the real folks not the PC version that you would like to see.

That you, apparently, feel otherwise is fine but I don't want to see Joe dumbed down to a PC version of himself. That would lose all the real excitement and energy of the show. Maybe you could do a search for a Christian vaping show that would better suit your sensibilities. But don't expect giveaways like Mod Envy, because Christian vape shows would require you to tithe instead of giveaways. But at least you wouldn't have to worry about language right?
