Well Nitro, you just called out the man on his own forum, degraded him, and it's still posted. What's the rub? I've been here since the beginning and haven't heard of or witnessed the ban hammer ever being deployed. Put up the proof so we all can make educated decisions. Otherwise, it's just bluster and will not garner the attention that you think it deserves.

What was the ban for? Not many rules to break here, I would think you have to try pretty hard to have the hammer come down.
Taver did some pif boxes and was pretty active, the other two were here from near the start and very active.

There are what... a couple rules, don't be racist, dont talk about the green herb, don't sexually attack members (or something like that)... what's to argue about? I wouldn't feel the need to break any of those except maybe the green one.

Strangely I don't have sufficient privileges to post in the rules forum but there are many members posts there. I haven't been here long enough? Hammer is coming down on me at this moment? Lol.

Not sure when #7 posted for the first time but the rules can be "Tweaked" from time to time as needed.

The Admins and Mods you see around here on regular basis (and even the ones behind the scenes you don't see much of as they are serving the forum in different ways) tend to be a thick skinned bunch.

We kinda sorta have to be.

Perfect example, starting Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, we had a member "Haadko" start to go off the rails starting with a borderline racist joke. (Rule #2 No racist, homophobic, bigoted, sexist terms will be tolerated.) Which was not appreciated but other than a few choice comments we left it alone.

As Wednesday turned into Thursday, his behavior and language got even worse. (Back to Rule #2 again)

Then came more extreme (#2 AGAIN) language and the insinuations that one of the moderators was a prostitute, which brings us to Rule # .7. Insulting, bashing, and just plain out right use of foul language or sexual remarks. towards any moderator or Admin will Not be Tolerated.

Apparently he was not content with just breaking Rule #2 a few times along with Rule #7, he just had to go for the Trifecta of Rule breaking which takes us to Rule #4. No posting of nudity pictures- Removals/warnings will be up to the Staff/Admin to determine. When he posted a what I will just refer to as a very vulgar picture and leave it at that.

As I was watching this train wreck at the time, I locked down the thread, removed the photo, and discussed this with other Admins and Mods on what action we needed to take as he had already ignored our PM's containing warnings that his shit was just not gonna fly.

So courtesy of @TygerTyger (who had warned him herself, yesterday afternoon, the Ban Hammer came crashing down on him.

And Nitrowolf72, not sure what your actual grievance is, but you are still able to post your own thoughts and opinions here.

And that includes calling @VaporJoes a BITCH.

And most likely he is one of the most thicked skinned person here!

Wow, that sounds like someone did go off the rails, had a bad week I guess. No need to take it out on peeps in a forum though.

I have seen people bash Joe out in the open and he just laughs at them. You have to have a thick skin to deal with the public and especially in a nameless, faceless forum.

Bottom line,I've only been a member for about 6 months but I can honestly say that the few bans mentioned are the only ones I've heard of. You have to try pretty damn hard to catch a ban on these boards as I've seen and been privy to quite a bit of rather heavy poo flinging in that short time.
The staff never really got involved unless it went way too far and I have to commend them on that.
It's entirely possible that the mods are just getting fed up with the fingers being pointed at them when all they're doing is offering their own personal time to keep the boards running smoothly. They are doing this of their own free will so it makes it that much harder to log in and see immature members blatantly bashing them for no reason other than to start some shit because they can't conduct themselves in a civilized manner.
Until you've owned or staffed a popular board and know what it's like trying to moderate a gang of circus freaks,shut your pie hole.

I normally try to stay out of the drama, but will say I have run a few forums and staffed on some too, and VU lets more go than any other forum I have been on, I've never seen it on other forums where some people can say some of the stuff they say to staff here and still be here.

Common sense, if you're going to bash the owner and that staff of a site, then your not going to be welcome anymore, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it's another things when start bashing though.

Mossberg 500 series shotgun with drum magazine, pistol grips and heat sink for home defence.

Got some other things as well.

But I also love my Ruger 10/22 rifle for taking my frustrations out.
