Well my phone doesn't take the greatest pics but I made my very first Clapton coils tonight. 24/32 5 wraps dual coil 3mm came out .23 ohms. Keeping every thing steady with the drill is a real pain. I attempted I think somewhere near 4-5ft just to get enough to make 2 decent coils. I can't wait till my 15ft roll of already made clapton wire gets here. But I got out the drill tonight mainly because I wanted to be able to say I did it. RDA is a Mutation X V4 I have all 18 air holes wide open and it chucks.

24g/26g twisted kanthal.. 5 wraps 3mm came out to .22 ohms.. Goes thru juice like crazy tho

8 wrap ti. First build in it was a 29/30 Clapton. Didn't take a pic of it tho

What was the diameter of that clapton i only have 28g core 32g wrapped hopping that will fit with 2mm diameter

My daily driver...

28 gauge kanthal, twisted, 6 wraps on the screw driver that came with Subtank Mini, at .27 Ohm. 50w=dry hits but 45w and lower is all good! 30 gives great flavor and good smoke. Doesn't drink the juice either. Better on juice use verses my same build but on a 3mm coil.

I dropped a wrap and figured out yet another way to rig my negative leads

5 (and ½?) Wraps on a 3mm using Clapton'd 32/26gauge A1 kanthal reading in at .3Ω

24g Kanthal with 32g nickel Clapton'd on it. 7/8 wraps on a 3mil screwdriver, reading at .19 ohms.

Ye no problem that is a 24 guage 7 wrap 2mm Id at just over 2 ohm wicked with muji Japanese cotton pads with the outer layers left on and just a tiny bit in the juice well.

another pic to show how the cotton sits took me a while to get the wicking right for this rta think I got it working well now no dry hits or gurgling and to be fair the goblin mini is my fave tank so far

Decided to try out mixed metal TC:

24 gauge Ti core, 30 gauge Kanthal A1 wrapped, 3mm diamter, 0.13 ohms, 6 wrap........ really good vape. Makes TC a bit wonky, but adjusting the temp downwards stops cotton from burning just fine.

I did a simple dual parallel. I'm still learning, but I did 12 wraps with 28 gauge. Came out to .25. I made a vertebraid, but the post holes on my plume veil are too small so my bf ended up using it.

Well, I'm gettin' better... If you look at my previous posts in this thread, you'll see what I mean.

Anyways, this is my first attempt at a twisted wire coil. I used 4 pieces of 26g kanthal. Wrapped it 5 times at 3mm. It's kinda hard to tell from the pic, but it comes in at 0.27ohms. I think I shoulda used a bit more cotton to tuck, but I'll remember that for next time, or maybe rewick this one. Now I'm gonna need a stronger mod - My iStick 50W takes a couple seconds at full power to heat this thing up.

Oh, one more thing - this little bugger started out at 3 feet of wire with very little waste.

my very 1st fused Clapton single coil.. I'm not at home atm so I did it by hand.. 30g wrapped around 2 24g kanthal,2.4mm in diameter,5 wraps came out to .22 ohms.. Very sloppy IMHO lol

Blipt! I really like how you have your leads/posts set up! Haven't thought of doing it that way - just put em in two adjacent posts and push it towards center. I might do that with my next build, I've always used posts that weren't adjacent. My RDA is a 4 post like urs

Anarchist Mfg Phenotype-L atomizer.
Damn fine vape. A little less smooth than a regular fused clapton of the same wire composition. Definitely on the warm side. Highly enjoyable.

Yep I just tighten them down with a little extra then move em over with the bit inside.....you gotta make sure your positive doesn't touch the coil tho if it does it's a pain to get them to heat correctly
