Banned from ECF 2 dozen times

So originally i got my membership cancelled voluntarily. A week or so later i decided to go back and open a new account. For some reason i couldn't open the new account, the system recognised my computer and ip address as being banned. Let me just add that i use a mobile modem for online forums and such. So i went out and got another sim card for my modem, with a new ip address of course. Made a new account, made a few posts and got banned, this happened about 20 times. I finally realised it was my internet history and cookies that the ECF system kept recognising. So after about 20 or so sim cards i got wise to it, call me stupid, and i wiped out my internet history along with all my cookies and created another ECF account. Typically i use "pay as you go" internet data for things like forums or whatever. So if i need a new sim card i have to buy more data/top up. So when the data i have runs out i can just buy another sim card.

Anyway, during all this time i had plenty of arguements with ECF admin, especially "Old Soldier", who no longer runs ECF incidentally. I even told that hammerhead what had originally happened and that i wasn't actually banned and that the system just does that. He wasn't having any of it and so it went on, for months. I kept going back and taunting him, telling him that all i need to do was buy another ip address, he didn't like that, man did i insult that guy, prick !. They were literally hunting me down, classwife must have banned me a dozen times alone.

So having figured out what's needed to erase my digital footprint, which i have no doubt anyone could've figured out in minutes, i have been a member of EFC now for about 2 years with no problems. It's true those mods are fucking dickheads but to be honest i go there, do what i do, and there isn't a problem with that, there never was !.

All i ever do is talk about vaping hardware, help out the newby's, and have a bit of a laugh sometimes. It does take a bit of getting used to and it took me over 20 memberships to do that.

Welcome to VU!

I think most of us that used to frequent that place get it out of our system here, because we see a section somewhat dedicated to it. THEN we realize that most of the people we used to see over there are here now, sharing tons of info without being reprimanded or grounded because of it. Hope you find your happy place here. Have fun :)

P.S. Even if they do see your post here, which is highly possible, they can't do anything about it here. No sin bins here.

cool anybody that fucks with claswife's head is good with me....is that psyhcotic sow untamed rose still rooting around there.

yeah !

Since they got there new software though i think they've reduced the number of mods, less employees. Smokey joe makes an appearance most days, i see Classwife, Retired1, Robino and a couple of others. Robino has herself a new avatar in which she has tried to make herself look 20 years younger by photoshopping a mod in her hand.

Thinking about it now i do remember i mentioned that Old Soldier ran EFC like it was north Korea, with him pictured wearing a soldiers uniform it didn't look good, North Korea is a good description !, then a whole load of members ran to his defence. It does seem as though quite a lot of members have ingraciated themselves with the admin. Like snipers they are, searching the forums for little idoisycracies in the text of other members, you know, things that might give a banned member away. People just love to inform over there. Even now i could write something perfectly innocent and some cocky prick would try to start an arguement. Best thing to do in situations like that is to just ignore it, i do. No one has any idea who i am anyway so i don't take it personally.

Back when they were on a mission to ban me i really couldn't understand why . It seemed as though Old Soldier was actually enjoying it. There were quite a few times when he would appear on a thread along with a load of other members and literally ridicule me for their own entertainment, that's what it looked like, just responding to everything i'd write with snide comments to make me look stupid, and all this would take place just because i closed my account voluntarily, they ran things in a really fucked up way back then. Now, i'm not seeing any of those members anymore !. And a lot of all those other mods simply aren't there, and they used to have a good couple of dozen. It really is quite different there now.

So why did i keep going back ?.

I simply wasn't having it, i wasn't going to lose to these pricks, seeing as i did nothing wrong in the first place. As i said in a previous comment, i would ensure that they knew i would be back with a new ip address, and they wouldn't win, and they didn't like that, not one bit, knowing they could do absolutely nothing to stop me being a member of EFC. I can go there now, make comments as usual, and they're all gone. And i feel good about that.

I'm a mod at a website that has nothing to do with vaping. Here's a little insider info; not from VU:

You can change your IP address, or anything else... still doesn't mean mods won't figure out that you're back. Posting habits, tone, specific words. All clues.

We (again, not VU) ban people for blatantly and consistently breaking the rules. It doesn't happen often. Before the banning happens, we've already found out whether they use Tor (rare), or whether they have multiple accounts, or use multiple computers for posting. We can easily find out where those computers are, down to the neighborhood in larger cities. It can also be really easy to find out what other forums they're on. We mods talk about them in private mod sub-forums. Sometimes the banning is a no-brainer, sometimes it's debatable and we discuss it. The only mods with actual banning privileges are admin.

People come back far more often than I initially imagined. Clues start popping up, and mods share the clues in the private sub-forums. "Hey, that new guy mentioned building engines and shoveling snow... and called someone 'd!ckcheese.' Sound familiar?"

I found out one guy had returned because he was bragging about it in a completely different forum. That was fun.

Hahaha, these guys must have fun reading my IP addy then. I use one from TX frequently. Others are at random, depending on my location. I don't see the need to use too many here. Most of mine are for security purposes (mine), not trolling internet advertising forums.;);)

PAYG sim cards cannot be traced to anywhere. I had already been caught out by all the methods you describe. Already slipped up with memorable phrases, idiosyncrasy's and everything else. Been there for a couple of years now with no problems.

Exactly why I ain't worried about called retired1 an asshole of the first order -- and I think retired1 *might* be old soldier 2.0. Classwife's just a humorless pain in the ass killjoy, it's retired1 that's the real bitch. You can't tell them anything, they know EVERYTHING, and aren't the least bit hesitant to insult any member at any time. Fuck 'em and the horse they rose up on.

And yes, I've seen quite a few familiar names here, from there. And it's funny; one or two of them are folks I had ignored over there, but here, I don't find them annoying at all -- which makes me think it's just that PC asshole atmosphere over there that MADE them that annoying! 'Course, there's still ONE I had ignored there, who I'll probably end up ignoring here. :D You all can probably guess who! :D

Totally forgot I wrote that. I don't normally let it slip that I'm a non-vaping mod. Guess I was tired and trying to make some stupid point.
