So last night I was reading posts in the Convicted Vapes Facebook group and came across a couple of their members jump in and say they were sending those pictures to the FDA. I responded by saying they should think about what that might do to this industry as a whole and asked if it was worth just believing Matty Ice and potentially fucking all of us over. I also mentioned a few things about real advocacy and just like that, I was blocked and removed from the group. Fucking Douchers if you ask me.

And now I wonder how much of this is really about Crimmys and not just promoting Convicted Vapes. Because you can't buy this kind of publicity.

Kitty Milk is awesome juice. Just saying....besides that I'm on the fence with this one. Does anyone have pictures before the construction pics leaked? I don't believe so....yet were all up in arms about this pic and a fucking stink bug? Seriously people. We can all claim were neat freaks but we all have creepy crawlies in and around our homes or work places. But on the other hand I don't like the fact they worked out of the construction area. It just looks dirty as hell. I guarantee you once the construction is done or has been done already this won't be an issue anymore. I think they're a good company that's just getting a bad rep for a nasty construction site. So yeah they shouldn't have made juices in that area during that time. I like the little figurines they put in the package....I'll check for stink bugs

Maybe the FDA should get involved. At the very minimum, the county health department in Georgia where Dr. Crimmy's is located. After watching them lie through their teeth on Mod Envy last night, it was VERY CLEAR to 99% of the listeners in the room that Dr. Crimmy's fucked up and was trying hard (and failing) to put spin on all of this. They should be fined and put out of business.

Dirty/unsafe conditions like this are why this industry needs regulation. Backwater fucktard juice makers like Dr. Crimmy's are everywhere because vaping is the friggin' wild west. AEMSA is a joke with it's fee structure and rip-off artist Linc Williams sitting on the board. The industry needs a self-policing standards organization with some kind of "good housekeeping" seal so that consumers know what they're buying adheres to certain standards. It needs to happen, and is long overdue.

I understand the concern, but NO.
That gives a machete to a system thats presently killing us with papercuts. The people are not given the option to self govern, its all or nothing and once its in their hands, its over. I will happily take my chances with situations like this, over having a tyrannical group of overseers tax and restrict us into oblivion.

The photos can never show the whole picture of what was going on. I see plenty of signs of TRYING to mix and keep things sanitary. Enough to give dr crimmy's the benefit of the doubt.

no one is perfect, but the very fact the guy is UPGRADING to what was shown in the video shows a commitment to have a clean and sanitary mixing area

so Dr crimmy yeah you fucked up a bit in transition. you should have tried to keep one area separated from the construction for mixing, but your tables were kept clean, the bottles that were in use were clean and so were their dispensing nozzles, gloves were apparently used. Some good stuff is actually visible in the photos. You tried, you didn't succeed to everyone's standards

You did however make a commitment prior to these photo seven being taken to create a clean and sanitary mixing environment that seems to be miles above many places, so congrats on that and thank you for owning your mistake and making the effort

However, truth be told, you want a health inspector investigating the restaurants on a regular basis. You EXPECT the facilities to be clean and in order. You want that assurance. Period.

This shit hole would NEVER have passed a health inspection. Operations should have ceased or moved to a clean acceptable facility over that construction phase. Everyone acts like 10 grand is a lot of money updating. It's not. It's a drop in the ocean type thing.

P.S. Plastic buffet tables won't pass a health department inspection either.

Time from some reality regarding restaurants. I work in one, and have worked in them for many years.
As for the two places I worked for, for at least two years each, I had not seen or heard of a single inspection.
The place I have worked for the last 8 years sees them a bit more, ONCE A YEAR, AT THE EXACT SAME TIME!!

None of the places ive worked were unsanitary or were allowed to become complete shitholes. Why? Because if they made someone sick, they would lose business. The owners had invested many thousands of dollars and DO NOT want to lose that investment, they want to succeed by providing a decent service. The market for quality product is a bigger motivator than the non existent health inspectors. When you run a gross facility you lose business, period. In a world without health inspectors, people simply would not eat at shitholes, and word spreads fast nowadays, putting the shitholes out of business in a timely fashion.

Believe it or not, most food establishments run completely unchecked for very long periods of time, or are checked in a very very predictable nature.

Well the FDA already controls e-juice. So THIS case has not one thing to do with that. It's already done. I don't really like it either.

The FDA isn't going to be the one to insect the facilities. The health inspector will. That's how it will work. So no, it would not have passed inspection, which was my point. It's a dirty facility.

I'm not denying your experience with the health inspector/s in your neck of the woods. It's not that way where I live. Even small violations are posted at the door of a restaurant that doesn't pass inspection 100% clean in my county. Once they are reinspected, then that is removed by the inspector. Here, you better have a clean bill of health for your facility, or the publicity will blow your business.

apologized for the filthy storage facility. They released a video of their new facility. So what else is there to say anymore? We don't need big government breathing down our necks. As a vaping community we can handle our own problems

Because obviously "we" weren't handling the "problem". Vapers and moreso, the people that claim to "care" shut their mouths when there is money involved (like a paycheck).

That a business put profits in front of the right thing to do, isn't such a rare thing.

I don't even buy juice from these fools. But a lot of people do. This is one of the reasons why I don't order juice. I can't see them making it or how clean they are.

If you are one of the people that don't care how clean you juice is, then that's your choice. I care, and I'd like to think the majority of vapers do too.

Everyone gets in an uproar about the FDA. This isn't something the FDA will even have it's fingers in. It will be the local health department inspector that will shut places like these down. Besides, like it or not, now the FDA IS going to have some/most/all sayso in what goes on. That was big tobacco and big Pharma. Had nothing to do with us vapers.

I believe that, but highly doubt its that way most other areas. Your county must have alot of money to toss around, but most are not like that.

What im gettin at is, when a free market is present, the customers dictate which businesses succeed. If your place is gross, no body comes and pays your bills. We as people have become so used to having the state do this for us, that we automatically expect that if its open, its clean. Personal responsibility towards the businesses we support have gone out the window, since inspectors are supposed to do our dirty work for us. In many areas with little resources to pay health inspectors, that public idea of their presence is still there, making unsanitary practices more harmful, since the people think the 'homework' is already done for them.

Govt agencies are rife with corruption and megalomania. Even if their omnipresence was possible money wise (which its not), its superiority over free market solutions is an illusion.

The ONLY way it will be monitored is if it is controlled by guidelines from the fda, other than that it is going to be a free for all. Or maybe we can make up our own juice making task force to do monthly checks on all the companies to see what's going on.....Sorry to say this whole situation is pointless and proves nothing. Plenty of other places that I'm sure are worse. It's about as safe as eating at McDonald's. If I get spit in my burger atleast I don't know about it. The only way we will ever find out about juice making conditions is like this situation which is going to be rare.
