First mod setup

Hi guys,
I'm really interested in getting into mods and having an actual setup but I'm not sure where to start. I have no clue really what there is to offer. Basic stuff like what's an RDA and what's a good setup that's not crazy intense but a step up from a pen. Flavor is the most important to me.

Thanks for the help!

Figure out your vape budget, then try your local vape shop, see what they offer, and ask the staff what they recommend. Try all the devices/tanks, etc you can. Also try as many juices as you can and find a flavor you like.
Check out youtube for videos on beginning vaping. For 40.00-60.00 USD you can find a great starter set up and a couple bottles of juice to get you on your way to being smoke free. GOOD LUCK.

First of all what is your "All In Budget"?

Do you want a good device that you can just fill up and go with in the morning or do you want something else?

I'm looking at around $100 give or take some. I have an e-go twist just looking for a step up from that.

RDA = Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer. You build your own coil(s) and use your wicking material. The juice is dripped into the atomizer, and you take a few drags, drip again, etc. Not ideal for a beginner though. Although, with lots of time spent on researching about it, it's possible.
If you want a good starter kit, you might want to look into something like http://www.myvaporstore.com/Joyetech-eVic-VT-Temp-Control-Starter-Kit-p/joye-vtk.htm. Been reading/hearing good things about it so far. You wouldn't have to invest in batteries and a charger. However, the downside is the build in battery. Once it's getting old, you'll have to toss the whole device.

There are a lot of regulated and regulated temp control starter kits available with tanks from any vape shop you look at now for $100 and under.
Istick kits
Kanger Subox
Innokin coolfire4 or MVP4
Aspire Odyssey
Joye e vic- vt

Just to name a few off the top of my head

Well the online shop I usually order from is www.smokingoutfitters.com you should check it out. They have plenty of delicious premium eliquids and even the istick eleaf 40 watt temp control (which is the one i have with an kangertech subtank mini) their prices are reasonable and shipping is fast. So if you are still looking for a great set up. I got an email with a 20% off coupon if you are interested:october-smoking05.

Here's me doing my obligatory pimping of the thread I put together for first-time upgraders...some of the stuff is slightly dated, most still relevant as far as both performance and safety concerns:

http://vapingunderground.com/thread...-sick-clouds-bro-thread-sticky-edition.78126/

For around $100 right now and one all-day-every-day setup I'd probably be looking at about $55 for an IPV4, $20-25 for an Efest LUC charger, $25ish for 4 batteries (Samsung 25R or LG HE2/HE4), and then I'd be breaking the bank with a topper - either a clone RDA or some sort of sub-tank with a handful of spare coils.

For my money, I like the KBOX mini (Kanger Product). They are a step up from the pen style and offer more cloud/flavor. They aren't an RDA, certainly, but they do offer the ability to rebuild the atomizer if you choose to do so.

Good luck!

I have the Kbox Mini and it's amazing. My brother has the Innokin Coolfire IV and it's great, but the battery life is shit. Because it's an integrated battery device he has to wait until it's finished charging. The Kbox Mini takes one 18650 battery, so that's an additional expense to factor in (a handful of batts and a charger), but it allows you to use your device while you have a battery on the charger. The Kbox Kit retails for around $60-$75, depending on where you buy it. It comes with the Delrin drip tip. extra tank o-rings, the Kanger Subtank Mini, two OCC atomizers (one in .5ohm resistance and 1.2 ohm), and a rebuildable deck with some cotton, extra post screws, and a mini screwdriver. It also has a USB charging cable.

Later on, if you find yourself getting into rebuilding coils, I have a Stro Mini on my Kbox and it's O-M-G good. Super easy for someone just starting to get into building and the flavor is amazing. Eventually my goal is to get an unregulated box mod and a larger RDA, but this is a pretty sweet set up for anyone, regardless of where they're at in their vaping journey.

I upgraded from the c-twist to an iStick 30w with a Kanger Subtank mini and I love it, flavor and clouds for days. I bought my first RDA a tobh v2.5 and I can run it on the iStick 30w but I would recommend a little more power. If you are going to start upgrading I would recommend something that you can use for a while with a range of attys. iStick 40w, 50w, or 100w, would all be good options or the EVIC VT but I have seen some reviews claiming issues although I have had no problems with mine.
