My German flavors came in today.
- Green Apple Sour
- Halfzware Shag
- Speculoos Butter Cookie
- Wild Strawberry
- Woodruff
I'm curious, how the Halfzware Shag will be, as a standalone. I used to roll my own with cigarette tobaccos by Vanelle, Drum, and Samson, all of them were Halfzware Shags. Halfzware Shag is the kind of tobacco, in this case a medium strong tobacco. There's also a Zware Shag, I tried some from a friend of mine. However, it was way too much for my throat and lungs, made me cough like hell.
Hell, I'm curious about all the flavors I bought. The Speculoos Butter Cookie (Spekulatius Keks), something sold or baked around Christmas time. Usually has brown sugar, Almond, some Ginger, little Anis, little Cinnamon, and of course, butter (unsalted).
Then, there's the Wild Strawberry and Woodruff. I have FA Wine Champagne, so I will make, what @HeadInClouds called a May Bowl, combining those three flavors.

I made some of the Green Apple Sour (Granny Smith) yesterday evening. Used the recommended 6% (shown as Richtdosierung on the label) with a 85VG/15PG mix, and VT's Nicotine base (VG). Today, I tried it in a Manta V2 RDA with a single parallel coil at 0.4 Ohm on my Sigelei 150W at 27.5W. IMO, it does have a Granny Smith taste. Personally, I'd like to have more flavor of both, especially the Apple and more of the tart. Of course, I could increase the percentage of the flavor. However, considering the price tag, I think, I'll be able to perfect my current Sour Apple recipe with cheaper/better FA ingredients.

10/07/15 It has been 4 days, since I've made this mix. I vaped it again today. It has developed a stronger Granny Smith flavor. I'll let it steep further and will update accordingly.
10/13/15 Meanwhile, it's been 10 days. The flavor hasn't changed any at all. IMHO, not worth the money.

why do you say FA ingredients are better?
With FA, I can use lower percentages with a natural taste, plus they are way cheaper.
As mentioned, it does have a Granny Smith flavor, just not enough for my liking. It might improve in flavor with more time to steep. I'll see and add my comments here.
Thanks for your information! I ran into this with some of the ones I had, as well. Good, but questioning if I would spend the money on it kind of good. Only 2 stood out to me from the bunch I tried and I still can't say I'd spend the $, even as good as they were, just too pricey and % a bit high.
Don't get me wrong here! I don't quite get, how most Americans are willing to pay more $ for a product, just because it says German engineered, or in this case, made in Germany. There are companies that deliver high quality products all over the world (China excluded 
).

I made the Speculoos Butter Cookie at the recommended 7% on 10/17/15, as a single flavor. I have to mention, I know what the real thing tastes like. In assumption, the juice needed steeping, I didn't try it, until today. At the moment, I'm getting a stronger buttery flavor, with Ginger, and some Cinnamon, slight Anise, not so much of a cookie though. Personally, I think, it could use some Almond flavor, as the cookies I know have some shaved Almond pieces in it. I'll let it steep a few more days, before trying it again, and update this post accordingly.

10/23/15: IMHO, the butter flavor is way too overpowering! Which also sort of worries me, regarding the unwanted AP/DP, etc.. The overall flavors haven't changed from what I've described above.
I think, I can make a better Spekulatius Keks, than this! I already created the initial recipe. However, I had to order some flavors, I think are needed, in order to create it. I'll post the final recipe, once I actually reach what I'm expecting a Spekulatius Keks supposed to taste like.

The Spekulatius cookies are one thing I miss during Christmas time. However, the one thing that is Christmas for me is my Mother's Christmas Stollen. She sent me the recipe for it. I baked several loafs (they are kind of shaped like a loaf of bread), and I gave some to my neighbors. The next day, I received a call from one of them, asking, if I had more, since they ate it all, the same evening.
I have utilized 2% Woodruff in a fruit mix I just made. The recommended percentage for this flavor is 5% as a single flavor mix. After a shake and vape of my fruit mix, the Woodruff comes out pretty strong. Therefore, I'll probably decrease it to 1.5% in my next mix. Overall, I think it's a real good Woodruff flavor.
I also added 2.5% of the Wild Strawberry in that mix. Recommended for this flavor as a single mix is 5%. Currently, I can taste just some of it. However, the little flavor I get, does remind me of the Wild Strawberries, we used to pick. I'm thinking of incrementing it to 3% in my mix

Forgot to mention, the Woodruff is the sweet kind of its variety, not the earthy type, that we used to pick in the wild.
An update on my fruit mix with the 2% Woodruff, I've been vaping it just of and on. Not too often, that I could develop a vapor's tongue. The Woodruff flavor seems to fade over time.

Hi. Thanks for the reviews. Did you ever get back to the toffee flavor? It has 2 5-star reviews on VT, but you know how that goes. I'm getting the Mr Peanut and Nougat for sure. Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I think I was really trying to talk myself out of spending that $5 anyway. I just needed to get more nic. VT has a 10% coupon ( vtvapecon ) that was supposed to be through Oct, but is still working right now.

Ah, sorry. I forgot about it until I scrolled past the email yesterday. Sign up for their newsletter. They don't seem to do coupons often though.
