So I've been looking to ugrade from what i currently useand get my first mod and been researching alot of different ones. Was thinking about the xpro m80 plus with tfv4 tank from smok. Is anyone out there familiar with either of these? Do yall think this would be a good set up? Pros, cons, what coil would be best? I'm still new to this stuff and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey man, the M80 Plus is a bit of old news. It was actually my first regulated box with a Herakles tank, that was a pretty great setup. If you were thinking you really wanted the TFV4 for whatever reason, you're going to want a device with higher wattages, as the TFV4 can run up to, I believe, 130 W. You'll want the option just because, believe me. If you bought the M80, I'd suggest either a Herakles or Arctic tank, maybe a few others too.

Just keep in mind the M80's "temperature control" is extremely wonky. I would not sell am M80 as a TC device, because it pretty much just doesn't work. Great for the regulated 80W though. The CMK (cloud machine kit) is the new SMOK X-Cube 2 along with a TFV4, and that's an option you might be interested in at a relatively cheap price. There are a ton of options based on your preferences. Let us know of you have any other questions, and good luck!

I have been liking my time with the tfv4 and I have been using it on a Sig 150tc.

As far as the m80 it was kind of a flop when it was released and if you are locked into a Smok mod why not the Xcube 2? I would still go with the sig or the ipv3 though. The Sig can be found for about 70 bucks new. Eciggity for example has the code 20off for either the Sig 150tc or the ipv3 li both come in at 69.99 shipped.

Thanks for the suggestions and the info. Maybe I'll start looking at some other mods then. Like I posted earlier still new to vaping so every bit helps. Thanks again.

Depends on your budget. What are you looking for in a mod? What's your budget.

The xcube2 is a great mod that goes to 180 watts. It's dual 18650. But it's a large mod. I have a video on it if you check out my YouTube. You can get it for about $60

If you don't need hat much power, the evic Vtc mini is a great mod and goes to 75 watts.

If money isn't an issue, I suggest either a Dna200 mod, or the new sxmini ml class. IMHO best value one is the hcigar vt200. It's built extremely well, capable of 200 watts. Any kind of temperature control and very customizable. You can get them for about $150.

Sxmini ml is built very well and yihi is good about upgrading firmware. Most shops will have them this week for $200

Whatever you do, get a mod that has upgradable firmware

Thanks bud. I went ahead and ordered the x cube 2 with the tfv4 tank yesterday. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll keep them in mind as I'm sure this won't be the last mod I buy. Thanks again

No problem. if you want to learn about the xcube, I have a review video of it. Its a long video, but I have a time stamp listed if theres something specific you want to see. Heres the link.

You made a good decision getting the higher wattage mod. I have a 60 watt mod and it was not enough to push the TFV4 with the tri-coil to get good performance. The folks I know that have the TFV4 run them at 80 plus watts. I have a friend that has the same setup that you ordered and she likes it alot.

My TFV4's are run in TC with RBAs.
I'm pretty sure when I was testing a coil that came with the full kit for someone it was on my M80. I'm sure I selected the lower watt recommended coil, but 80 was plenty.
If you can't find a coil from them to work on an M80+ you're looking for an excuse to buy a new mod.

Any excuse is a good excuse as long as it can be sold to the wife.

I just bought this tank and it came with a $5 head that takes up to a 140w mod. I need it. :)

It's my triple coil that's used. I'm almost sure I put that on my M80 to try before taking the tank off my IVP4 and bothering to reset it, and I decided 80w was plenty for me. The tri and quad are rated for 40-130w and 40-140w
I will say I've never been a fan of sub-ohm.

I've had less than good experience with the X Cube 2. The plus side, updating firmware isn't hard to do. Regardless the 30-140 watt range and 0.2 ohm resistance on the rebuild deck that is very generous had been pretty smooth. Have used with the X Cube 2, Opus 200, and HCigar VT200. I like it between 75-80 watts, very nice.

I received my xcube and tfv 4 yesterday and have been playing with it since I got it, and I haven't gone blind yet lol. So far I like it. Still trying to find that sweet spot with it but I'm sure I will. Thanks for everyone's suggestions and info

I know about the TFV4 and I like it. it comes with two coils a triple head coil and a quad coil

The quad goes down to .15 so if you are going to use it make sure you are using it on something that can handle that low. The tank gives you flavor and clouds for days. The only thing that comes close to it is an atty (rba rda) if you decide to get it, it will be well worth the money
