TFV4 GLASS

So I've the past 3 weeks I have purchased 2 TFV4 tanks. I have verified bother are authentic. Bought from two different stores. I have had an issue with both on the first removal of the glass to get to the coil to replace it. It seems to be that the o ring is somewhat adhered to the glass making it very difficult to remove the glass without breaking it. First one we barely got off without breaking the glass the second cracked the glass. Now first thing you may be thinking is I'm vaping too high. I'm using a ipv3 li at 80w. I have checked all stores in the area and could not find a single store in the area with the replacement glass. Any help from the community or testimonials of this happening to others would be appreciated. I'm fairly aggravated with this. I have both emailed and facebooked smok without a reply so far.

There's a thread regarding this tank. I think I saw it mentioned there. Some made with imperfections in the glass. Saw mention of the O rings stuck to the glass. I think they're putting them together to tight from the factory. Here's a place in Texas that has them http://www.vaportronics.net/smok-tfv4-tank-replacement-glass-tube/. If you search the internet there's a number of places that have them. We don't have the replacement glass.

Yah I've found them online just sucks having to wait for the glass. Personally I'd have to say this tank while it dose have superior clouds and flavor is more of a novilty rather than a regular vapeheads tank. I do think smok should do something for the customer for this.

I had the same problem the first time installing the coil..glass was a little hard to remove... Now I coat the glass and o-ring with a few drops of juice prior to reassembly... vaping the quad coil at 100w the tank comes apart easily...also my tank came with a extra glass, gaskets, RBA deck, 2 coils and a little screwdriver...not bad for $34 from my local shop..

Only thing about using the quad coil is this tank burns thru the juice! Lol

I guess I got lucky and the TVF4 I ordered has had not one issue Ive seen other have. Did you order the Single Tank or the Full Kit? The Kit had Replacment Glass for the Tank in the boxes. I always take everything apart when first getting it and give it a wash and then lube rings with VG, makes them smooth and they will last longer instead of dry reaming them with the parts...I also find it has the best RBA in the game, so much room to work with! I cant wait till the mailman gets his ass here today, hes got my TF-R2..

The only issue Ive had was after priming and letting the coils sit in a eliquid bath for 30 minutes, somehow the T3 coil still ended up giving up a dry hit on the first pull (Im guessing hot spot). While the Q4 coil was amazing for almost 3 weeks (Used at 115W the entire time). Now Im laying with the RBA:

I'm using mine at 150w right now and I've been at above 120w for a while now, I doubt it's the heat that's doing anything. It's just the poor QA from Smok, there's been quite a few reports of chipped/cracked glass and melted/warped o-rings. Always best to dismantle any tank when you first get it and do a quick inspection and cleaning, then like raymo2u said, lube it up and stick it in... err yeah :p

All I can find in my area is the single tank so no goodies..... I was so excited to change the coil I got the sextuplet coil...... Now I got to wait to try it

Break's got it dead on, gotta get a little juice on there to keep it nice and greased up.

Only issue I have now is how easy the whole tank separates when unscrewing the bottom to change out the coil, and in all honesty the sextuplet coil is all hype even the quads are just eh. If you build at all get the RBAs they are fantastic !

Here's what I wrote back. I'm sorry I will not buy a product from a company who dose not back their products and recognizes their mistake.

Thank you for backing your product and showing your customers you fix your mistake and doing a recall or replacement parts for your poor quality product enlighten of this my 4 stores will no longer support your products at all. All my communities I'm involved in the fact of how your company fixes its mistakes.

Yeah there seems to be huge sticking issues with the full size non-kit version.Either pick up the full kit version or get the mini version.

I removed my glass when I first got mine. It took a very long time to do so. I had to be very careful. At first I didn't think it was meant to be removed, but checking numerous youtube clips and such, it was clear it was. It finally came off, and I couldn't believe it didnt break.

Seems like there's quite a variance in what they shipped out. For me removing it was the easiest of any tank I have. Top piece is slightly snugger than the bottom piece but both slip in and out without much force.

Ditto (picked it up as soon as I saw the black available.

Not sure I like it better than my full size design wise. Full size seems like I could work with some generic o-rings on the top/bottom seals where I'm going to need custom for the Mini, that said it's my only real complaint so far just looking at it. Getting ready to start vaping it though.

If you have a hardware store close by check there for O-Rings.My local spot has about 30 different size o-rings in various colors too.No green though which is odd.
