Advice on tobacco and general flavour selection (newbie)

I'm about to order my first DIY supplies. I've decided to try and keep the budget around 150$ and I've decided to mix by weight so I'm trying to limit myself to about 10 flavours of FA (for a total of about 60$). i've used HeadinClouds' notes to select my flavors. Advice as to which are more versatile/useful is appreciated. Also, I would like to make a tobacco flavor also because I don't like only vaping sweet flavors exclusively. I haven't heard good things about FA tobacco flavour was considering maybe iwanera?

must haves:
Which between Vienna Cream / Catalan cream?
If I purchase one of the above, can I forego fresh cream?
Strawberry
Mandarin
Torrone
Coconut
Some tobacco flavor?
Pear

On the fence:
Mango
TFA green tea or FA black tea
Cola
Black cherry

What about honey? Is it a must have?

I know flavors are subjective but I would like simply to know what are some good basic flavors to get started with. I really have no idea where to start with the tobacco flavor. I would like something rich, nutty and cigar like, like drum rolling tobacco or a nice Cuban, not so much a smokey, dry and thin cigarette flavour. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

P.S. I'm having a hard time finding a good scale on Amazon.ca . I just want one that has .01g accuracy and NO AUTO SHUTOFF, which they all seem to have. If anyone has any tips on this, I'd really appreciate it. Perhaps I should email Amazon customer service and ask them?

I'd add Lemon Sicily and Vanilla Classic.
FA Cocoa and FA Chocolate are the best IMO, if you like Chocolate type vapes anyway.
FA Honey is certainly one of, if not, the best.
Forgot to mention FA Fuji Apple is hard to beat.
And Marshmallow, and...

I think FA makes some great tobacco flavors. Some of my favorites are Dark Vapure, Perique Black, Shade, Burley, Maxx Blend, Cuban Supreme... ok I like a lot of them.

Tobacco ....

Depending on how "Rich" your taste, its hard to recommend a generic tobacco as they are all over the spectrum.

Fruit is easy !
Apple should taste like apple.... Banana should taste like banana... ect.
Tobacco on the other hand can be Floral, Dark, Spiced, Vanilla, caramel, and on and on.
Just to get tour feet wet, I'd say maybe some FA Cuban Supreme.
@ 2% its mild with just a hint of sweet something, probably vanilla, but retains a tobacco leaf like taste. ( Kinda like the taste an un lit cigar leaves on your lips.).
And dont let the cigar reference scare you... its more like a cigarette to me than a cigar, just a bit tastier !

You want more sweet....
TFA RY4 Double is one of my gotos.
Has a caramel note that IMHO makes it a bit sweeter than Cuban Supreme.... But also has a bit more throat hit on me, with a more cigarette ashy/dirty taste.
not a bunch... but its there.

Anyways....
YMMV as its just MHO.

Thanks so much for your post! You really took the time to explain each flavour. I was considering Burley but I think I'll go for Cuban supreme! My current go to vape is called Montecristo and is apparently made by soaking cigars in PG for 3 months. Anyway, it's a fantastic realistic vape if a a bit on the sweet side. If I can get in that ball park, I'll be happy and I might try and make a black cherry cigar flavour... Oh the possibilities!

As far as honey is concerned, could it be a standalone vape? It sounds like it would just be very sweet and overwhelming. I was thinking of sweetening my fruit mixes with pear. Do I need honey to sweeten flavours like coconut or fresh cream which aren't inherently sweet?

So these are the flavours I've decided to order. I plan on making some tobacco flavours (black cherry cigar), cherry cola, green tea ice cream, orange creamsicle, strawberries and cream, coconut cream for starters. I'm still wondering if I should get honey as a sweetener (for coconut for example). Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, especially Budds for helping me chose a tobacco!

Vienna Cream
fresh cream
Strawberry
Mandarin
Coconut
Torrone
Pear
TFA green tea
Cola
Black cherry
Cuban Supreme

+ a bunch of 10mL dropper bottles, a 80ml beaker, 250mL of PG and 500mL of VG and a scale and I should be good to go!
