On a more curious note.....I was trying to message a friend yesterday about a problem I'm having with one of my mods. Soon as I tried to post, the big "You have been banned...." banner popped up, something about how I'd activated the security software, Cloudflare, blah, blah....I hit that post button three times and got the same thing. I removed the name of the mod and the post went through. So I don't guess Cloudflare likes the "mod that shall not be named," but it does involve an "i" and a "P" and a "v", along with a number between 3 and 5.... (??????????)

It was a private message. Soon as I hit "Post Reply", the cloud flare ban warning popped up on my iPad. When I removed "IPv4", the post went through. The warning stated something to the effect that cloud flare was using a security software that I had triggered in some way, and requested that I email the site owner to question the ban. But the "ban" seemed to go away once I reworded the message. Strange....

Well, I might be next. I just tried to reply on a post and got a "sorry, you have been blocked". Testing here.
Yeah, I wandered away then returned to the page and it let me post. I had just read this last night so it made me wonder though. lolThat's just a dodgy bit of the forum software acting up, usually when it flags an otherwise innocuous word in a reply draft or part of the backend s/w gets testy. Don't recall its' name... CloudFlare or some such.
Hard to pin down a solution, just have to wait it out and try the reply later or edit till it's happy with the wording.
Has happened to more than a few of us... there should be a badge.
Definitely just a site glitch. The server would have checked perms and denied edit/action.A couple months ago, for no discernable reason... I had mod editing powers over someone else's thread.
You'll have to imagine what some here would have done. I expect an actual real banning would have been in the works.

Upon suggestion, I have tracked it down and started reading. If this was the standard hate-thread, I would have stopped. There's a lot going on though.
--Slow build. Lots of tech speculation and bizarre marketing.
--"Assholio" first mentioned in the early-700's (in post numbers).
--Asolo issues finally became clear in the 800's.
--Post 855 and 863.
--We-all-knew-this-would-happen moments in the 900's.
--Member-on-member name calling finally starts at around 1000.
Bookmarked at 1100. Back to work. I'm not going to jump forward in time/spoil this to find out what happens to Asolo. Sort of like recording a football game and avoiding the news until after you finally watch it.
This is glaring proof I don't follow hardware releases. Obviously I should... just can't bring myself to do it.
That gets you a Free Pass to get back in.
