So I have a local shop that mixes juice in front of you to order instead of selling pre bottled juice. They let you choose the PG/VG ratio, the nic level, and what flavors go into the juice you want.

Tonight I bought my very first max VG juice. It makes much more noise when vaping than the juices I amused to. Is this normal? For an extra amount of "popping" ?

Vg wiil give you more clouds and is smoother. Pg will give you more of a throat hit, whitch is some desire because somewhat more like a cigarette. High percentage vg juice may not work well with some tanks because its thicker and may not suck up to the coil fast enough and cause the nasty dry hit. Sub ohm tank users usually prefer high vg low nic juice, Hope that helps somewhat.

yea im using high vg 3mg nic. my coil KEPT tasting burnt (new coil) so i took it out to check the cotton and the cotton was 100% fine. so i think i was dry hitting. must not be able to use high vg juice on my arctic. Im using an arctic tank on a coolfire 4 mod. my sweetspot is usually 35watts

Did you actually drip a couple drops of liquid on the top of the coil and into each juice port before letting it sit? I've ran my Arctic as high as 45-55 watts with liquids as thick as 10/90, though I could never get the 80+ watts some people claimed to get out of theirs.

Are you getting any liquid spitback into the center tube to go along with the popping?

That's right, I saw that one...yeah, good chance the bunk coil is causing your problems. Hope you get it figured out!

Thanks. I went to a diff location and bought some coils and asked for the boox they came in for storage. once I got home i ran the box through horizon techs authentication thing and they came up as authentic. And they are working fine. A little gunky with the max VG but it works and doesnt taste like it just came out of someones exhaust pipe XD

I usually 80/20 or max vg in my Arctic tank and have never had a problem. Usually vape between 55 - 75 w and it's alright. Priming the coil certainly helps. One thing that's always bugged me about the Arctic tank though and I have heard all sorts of complaints about it is the funk at the beginning of every coil. Don't know what it is but holy cow it tastes rank - you have to pick your least favourite juice and vape through it and then usually it's smooth sailing. I've found that the BTDC 0.2's are usually pretty inconsistent some times it really will be a new coil and it's already hittin you with dry hits - often the resistance I've noticed is way off of what they're supposed to be. Artics are great tanks and can easily do max vg but it could just be a bum coil.

What resistance is or was the coil? Was it BTC or BTDC?

If you are going to run VG Max then you might want to look into those gold coils.

I've been curious about those, seems I heard something on here about suspect wire material...really the cost is what's been off-putting more than anything (and I've moved away from my Arctic since the Crown came in). That said, I was able to run as high as 10/90 without problem using the stock coils...

That's odd.. I mean I vape 100% VG in my Arctic with the .2 ohm coil at 6Ow without even coming close to a dry hit, even chain vaping... I find the Arctic coil wicks fast...but then again I vape at 60w or so...with 2.5 mgs of nic...just my 2 cents, lol

I could never get it that high with 10/90, or even 20/80, but I could manage about 45 watts...I seem to be the odd one out with dry hits at mid-wattage, though.

I get my custom juice from a local shop in Lakeside...100% VG is all they sell..no PG at all.. Their juice always is very good, producing a smooth, thick and flavorful vape...the Arctic .2 ohm coil is rated 30 to 100w...it really shines for me about 60w or so...I don't vape it much anymore since getting the Crown and TFV4 tanks...and of course I'm a cloud blowin lung hitter...just sayin

The wire & gold is solid from what I've heard from 3 people I trust

VaporMeister does only 100% VG? Curious what PG-free flavors they're using...I'll pop in there next week just to ask about that, I've got a couple jobs going in Eucalyptus Hills...

If you prefer Vapor over flavor and throat hit – High VG (60% or higher VG)
If you aren’t sure split the difference – 50/50 (50% PG 50% VG)
